Paris really is overrated, been there twice cause I had to but it was really one big dissappointment.
Prague is beautiful, but I prefer the saying "Only Rome is worthy of Paris, and only Paris is worthy of Rome".

Prague at night is magical
The Moldau by Smetana is one of the most famous symphonies for classic music fans. I've always been moved by its tunes. It was like a vivid picture of Slavic folk's lives : the country dance, the flowing river, and finally the sea that takes it as the final destination. The song mimics a river of human lives with its ebb and flow, its joy and grief, laughter and moan.
Rock Steeves has the most "perfect job"!
And, too add, he's very good at it, soothing, thank you Rick for so much enjoyment through your eyes.

Prague is very beautiful city. I stayed there for 3 days and it was most memorable! People are very good, soft natured and helpful. More interestingly people understand English very well. I found many Indian restaurants with good food and was very happy.
Hope I will get chance to visit this astonishing city again.

when i came out of the subway and turned to see the Prague national theater it took my breath away.
Europe is worth seeing. I Love Europe.
I loved my long weekend in Prague. Madonna flew in the day we flew home. The castle is amazing. I was told I wouldn't be able to travel on the coach tours because of my wheelchair but I ended up with an ex Olympic javelin thrower as my tour guide. I've never seen so many teddy bears on sticks and Mary Poppins look a likes. See kept following the wrong one. ILOL😂
Prague is such an Ethereal, Gorgeous and Romantic place, to me, it's like stepping into a dreamland, someday I would truly love to visit this place.

I live in Prague, a very nice and beatiful city.
I first performed The Moldau at age fifteen in orchestra and instantly fell in love with romantic music. Learning about Smetana and his struggle as a deaf composer made me realize how much I will enjoy Prague when i visit! Thank you rick steves! I would Encourage anyone to visit the Bedrich Smetana Museum! I know I will. I hope to see a 1st. String Quartet in E Minor perfomrance; all four movements! If anyone has had the amazing opportunity to listen to it live, id love to hear back about your experience!

I discovered Prague 51 years ago, I went there six times after 1966 and I still love this city, even if it is invaded by turists from the whole world. I forgot to say that I am Belgian.

@@indranil3311 Also live here. And I also thought the same as you, but then I started travelling. As a popular Czech saying says, "všude dobře, doma nejlíp". I learned to appreciate Prague.
I'm to going to be 37 and my travel dreams are just starting to come into fruition! I just returned from Germany, The Netherlands, and Belgium. Prague is definitely on my list if you have any tips on cheap travel and accommodations I'd love to get as much knowledge as I can. Traveling is an extremely important part of my life I NEED to do it more it's what I've been dreaming about, but never thought was attainable, since I was a kid. Now that I know it is attainable I will always "keep on traveling" forever!

this is hands down the most tasteful documentary about Prague I have seen.. even though I am czech - I learned some new stuff (Mucha's final work).. brilliant!

I visited both Stockholm and Prague at the different time, and would strongly recommend to travel to Prague first. It was so much inspiring, and provided with great lessons. Before travelling to Prague it would help you to understand it's history in depth if you read any history book. It would be wonderful to visit Budapest on your next Summer trip.
