What a beautiful country, indeed... I have visited Slovenia (Ptuj and Maribor) five years ago... Wonderful trip... So clean and calm; nice people, language, food, nature, restaurants, sights; everything wonderful... Greetings from Brazil, Rio de Janeiro!
Hi very good work. I thing you even didn't know what you have done. Some people can't afford to visit the most beautiful places in the world. This short movies helps them so much to see the world. You are very lucky.
Rick, I love your shows! Thank you for taking the time to visit my home - Slovenia. Too many people miss it but thanks to you many people get to see its beauties. There is one thing I would correct in this video... as others stated, Yugoslavia was not behind the "iron curtain". It was rather a non-aligned country. Yes, we did have socialism and a communist government but this does not automatically place a country behind the iron curtain. Unlike citizens of countries behind the iron curtain, Yugoslavs had passports and were able to travel abroad [as well as practice religion]. I was taught English in school, not Russian. We were, at least in Slovenia, pro West oriented. In any case, great show. Thank you! :-)
Wow , Greetings , tons of love to the people of Slovenia, equally thanks to Mr Rick Steves and Team for showcasing beautiful Slovenia, Warmth and respects from, Ameet Singh Hyderabad India

I went Slovenia for 7 days/7 nights (August 2022) and am watching this video after the fact. We happened to do all of the same highlights in this video + a few more, and had an awesome time! I would recommend this itinerary and a trip to Slovenia if you aren't afraid to be active for light hiking for vistas, swimming holes, and waterfall trails. I've been to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro, and the Slovene people and their food have been my favorites of the four Balkan nations.
I never been into any of European countries but I absolutely like all "The Best of Europe", especially when I started as one of the subscribers of Rick Steve's RUclips channel; it seems like I'm already in Europe. I almost finish traveling the European countries... Thanks to Rick Steve 😊👍👏. Australian backpackers are some of the most annoying and arrogant people ive ever met
Now that I've seen the clips I think I'm going there in July. I would love to see the caves, visit the museums, and socialize the people in that country.
My husband’s grandparents are from here and he’s dying to go for our 40th anniversary. I might have to be a good sport.

I particularly love this video Rick. I was last in Slovenia in 1969 (!!) and it has evidently progressed a lot since then ...
Rick, have been watching for a long, long time. Thank you for showing River Soca, my birth place. With love from Canada.
Thank you Rick for sharing this beautiful video of my beautiful country, my Slovenia. ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you! :-)
What a beautiful place. Even after doing upteen visits to Europe , missed this hidden gem somehow. Love and greetings from India .
Wow , Greetings , tons of love to the people of Slovenia, equally thanks to Mr Rick Steves and Team for showcasing beautiful Slovenia, Warmth and respects from, Ameet Singh Hyderabad India
Got to go this summer and would recommend it to anyone. Bled, the Triglav, Ljubljana, Postojna, Predjama... lots to see in a small country.

I like watching this on Sunday nights..very relaxing
I enjoyed the travel and the history. A must go destination. Thank you!

I never been into any of European countries but I absolutely like all "The Best of Europe", especially when I started as one of the subscribers of Rick Steve's RUclips channel; it seems like I'm already in Europe.
