SuperGT turning right on a straight, meeting Barry R, and coming out in 6th position. It's like poetry.
Poetry indeed.
perpendicular meeting with Barry R mind you
well said
Your crash cost you 10 seconds, which means your strategy was at least 10 seconds faster than everyone else's. That was an impressive race, and some nice driving on the worn mediums.
Exactly 😬😬
Don’t forget he would have lost a little time in the dirty air of the two drivers that he also had to overtake
That was a lot of fun. If the French driver had made the two-stop call about 3-4 laps earlier it might have looked like a genius move.
He still got a penalty though 😂
That gave me massive brain damage.
More people, myself included, need to take this mans lesson of staying in the race to heart. Even if you don't get back to a podium from loosing one, you never know what can happen.
Such a great and overlooked point. I learned this from Steve a few years ago and it’s a serious game-changer. Not only do you preserve your ratings if you don’t quit, but yeah, this-I’ve bagged a number of top 5s because of people quitting, for example.
Now I'm not that good at sims yet (hence my C/S rating) but I stuck with it the other day. I entered the reverse "chicane of death" race, started 5th, and got down to 9th on the first lap. I was tempted to quit, but I decided to keep going since I was running softs and everyone else started on mediums. I got all the way up to third for a few seconds on the last lap, before finishing fourth. So glad I stayed, I somehow kept my clean race bonus too.
The art of keeping the head down whatever happens is often disregarded
Ppl should already know in motorsports, it’s never over until it’s over
That overtake into P2 on lap 22 was simply beautiful. A dive-bomb, but a dive-bomb executed to perfection and done so cleanly. **Chef's kiss**
Man pulled a Verstappen, managing to win the race even after a spin. Well done!
Love the comparison 🤣
And did a verstappen in Abu Dhabi 2021, just needed one lap to win
@@Lionzw2 That was so not right!
@@Lionzw2 I think Steve won according to the rules.
Maybe warn bf u spoil c'mon 😂
Man the replays on Gran Turismo are just stunning. No racing game has replays that looks this good.
The camera and sense of speed are just perfect.
You're right, they are good, but they definitely used to be better. For some reason, the lag has been accentuated so you now see cars bouncing around all over the place a lot more these days - and it's not just on my own replays, you can see it on many other players' videos too.
Absolutely gorgeous. The realistic nature is breathtaking.
I agree!
Aside from the blinding glare, it looks incredible.
Race Driver Grid got some good replays
i beg polyphony add more dtm cars
And update the Super GT Cars : Nissan Z GT500 , Supra GT500,.....
@@Viper-hu6qs honestly they should update almost every car for example gt3, gt4, Le Mans, road cars, like you said super gt, etc. and add more cars.
@@ThatOneGuy5540 exactly
Those dtm cars were so good, it's a shame that they arent used today, this dtm era was so good
As a german i loved it, also a plus was that the legend Timo Glock was racing there a long time
I’ve been loving the Rs5. Definitely gotta have good throttle control, but man it flys. Watkins Glen is a really fun track I’ve been running Gr.2 on lately
Beautiful overtake. I think the aggression caught every one off guard after 22 laps of following
what an overtake at second last lap🥵
Spun it and still won it. Lovely Verstappen move there!
Super Max and Super GT coincidence? i think not.
The overtaking you did on the second place... i wouldn't have done it. For me, the highlight of the race! Super important move. Very well done, mate!
Agree with the glare, that much glare would be unacceptable in real life and tear-offs filters some of those out. But the glaring fact that you did a textbook tire strategy and win, how would Scott Chegg do it?
It's glaringly obvious, he'd start fast, maintain fast throughout, and end fast and win.
You can't have an amazing comeback without falling behind. Never quit.
I have always struggled with Brands Hatch. I can never get the right braking points on a lot of turns, especially Turn 1.
Same, I’m always inconsistent during the first few laps. But then a rhythm starts to develop and I don’t overthink the corners and braking points
Turn 1 and two are hell for me.
This is definitely my worst track. Even if I set a decent time I still feel like I hit all the corners completely wrong.
GT has some of the most beautiful replays I have seen and this was such an amazing race a reminder never to exit a race
This channel makes me so happy ❤
Nice one! and well executed strategy with reading the race. One of the best in the last weeks :)
Impeccable driving executed by an exceptional driver. Enjoyed the race tons!!!
tbh I don't think the DRS system in GT7 is that good since u have to hold the button to activate it. I think that they should make it togglable of automatic like in GT sport.
Cannot get over there is no toggle option... Its insane how they will spend so much time on the smallest little detail and completely overlook something like that.
Never a dull moment on SuperGT. Finally got GT7 not too long ago and have been improving a lot while studying the driving of you and your various competitors. Thanks a lot for the inadvertent tutoring.
Absolutely epic race Steve, I was GLUED to the screen, especially once switching to the softs. Great driving and congrats on the win!
What a great race! This one especially shows that long races like these arent over until they're over
My uncle used to race DTM for 12 years
What's his name?
Jamie Green?
Dude I gotta say you put the work in, releasing new content almost daily. Showing us what it takes 👌
Great race! I happy you got the win. Very satisfying to watch!
That was an awesome race to watch, love the commentary
Incredible scenes. This one was a fantastic watch, Steve.
Not even this update can save you from me
Amazing race! Credit to you for carrying on after the crash.
Proper dont give up story 😂👍🏻
Holy, this video got me glued to the screen the entire time, nice one
"Dying of death is sub optimal" 😂😂. That line cured my depression ❤
Well, I didn't say this yesterday buuut, this has to be one of the best Super GT videos of all time. From personal experiences playing a role in how you looked at the race, to the BEST action I have seen on the channel personally. Excellent video.
Excellent race Steve! When you were saying race is not over during the final lap I feared for the worst but luckily it didn't happen :)
A thrilling watch, one of your best videos yet
What a win. Amazed that you closed that 14 second gap from 1st
Spectacular race, you were a beast on this one and yes, never give up.
Phenomenal and fun to watch! Nice work!
what a great recovery, this was fun to watch as always
Nice racing. Very impressive and very enjoyable to watch.
I appreciate the advice on Saturday Steve, we figured out the issue with the kart and I had no bottom end which wasn’t great especially at buckmore. However we calculated where I would be if it was a race weekend with my fastest lap and turns out I would have been 12th in an a final, so especially with the kart problems I was pleased with it, thank you mate👍
I’ve been watching you for a while now, one of your best races, well done.
Im impressed by the detail gt7 goes into wrt physics. You mentioned the audi making “dirty air” behind it bc it has so much downforce-which affects cars trailing it. I wouldnt have thought a game like gt7 was that mentalist about air turbulence effects, but i think the makers of gran turismo should be proud that they were mentalist when it comes to the full physics.
Mate for me that was your best drive i have seen you do well done and ty great video
Awesome to watch mate. Well done Steve
You could really feel the pace you put on once you got onto the softs. Great driving as “always” 🔥
wow what a race nice recovery great driving,
Excellent race!!! I love your videos.
Mega drive mate, what a recovery and strategy to win it! Never get tired of the videos
That was brilliant. Well done!
I gotta see the post interview with the Frenchman! What happened there! Haha epic stuff mate these are keeping me sane with no racing on last couple weeks
Fantastic race and video steve
The dance between DRS and braking is pretty cool.
What a splendid delectable winning!
Amazing race Steve! Imagine the gap you would have pulled if you hadn't spun out! Great racing, you love too see it!
Brilliant nail biting race. Well done.
Nice driving and this seals the deal on my needing a wheel. I couldn't better a 1:22 with a controller and my bum right thumb and forefinger. A wheel should take my handicap out of the equation.
Brilliant drive!
That was a thing of beauty, nice work dude
What a race, what a drive GG 17:56
That was one of the best videos of you mate... Cheers.
3:21 "...trying to get used to Sheene Curve; a really difficult corner of Brands Hatch. I think one of the most difficult in the game, to be honest, and one that I can never seem to get consistently right."
15:57 "Through Sheene Curve again, getting this a bit better as the race went on. My consistency was improving there..."
This is why I watch your channel. When I have trouble with a particular section, I find myself trying so damn hard to improve, I sometimes get frustrated and actually make even more mistakes. You keep a calm head and apply lessons learned in small increments until you get it right. I don't have that much patience.
Great race and recovery to the win!
Wow, this is huge comeback, didn't see such gameplay for a while😂
Always love seeing you win!
Nicely raced bro 👌
This is what keeps me going.
Awesome job
That one overtake you did was sickkkk
Pwoar, brilliant drive mate. Miracles do happen.
What a methodical performance, well done, Steve!
Really good editing in this one!
That was world class, great drive steve !!
That overtake for p2 was stunning
Wonderful race mate
What a drive. Never gave up.
That’s entertaining 👍🏼👍🏼
It's interesting how the RS5 Turbo DTM has a 2.0L 4 cylinder but they gave it a 5cyl sound in the game..
I saw a thumbnail without the fireball explosion in the background and thought “Wait a minute?!” 😃
And what a race! Well done 😉💪💪
WOW what an incredible race, one of your best I reckon
Great race! Never give up!
Sensational. great drive
Fantastic drive sir great comeback bravo👏👍
What a comeback m8! P6 gave you the strength you needed to win
This race was so good to watch!!
What a chase for the victory! Great push after the spin and a solid strategy that pulled through in the end. Masterclass 🙌🏽
Max Verstappen would have been proud of that!
(Spun in 1st, & still won!)
what a absolute race enjoyed watching it very much while i was eating my risotto . makes me want to play but my ram stick died
I believe the glare is just because your display settings aren't correct in-game: maybe you set it up on a HDR monitor but your capture card is taking SDR. Basically that glare should be all different colours on a HDR screen, but when compressed down to SDR it's just all white.
Cracking race Steve I did that on Saturday to was a very fun race to do.
This showed me that I should return to watching DTM. I lost interest somehow but I always loved it.
So thanks for the reminder and for the awesome race!
DTM uses different cars now though. They changed to GT3 cars two or three seasons ago.
The send it move on lap 22 was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Well done Mate 💪🏻👍🏻
Great driving! Despite the mistake still managed to recover and win the race! 👍🏻
That was marvelous. Thank you.
Epic and enjoyable racing there. Awesome!
Sensational win from the SuperGT team!
rule number one -> never give up!
well done💚
Nice, that's a whole new dynamic to motorsport damage: "Just walk it off"
That untersteer happens because the tires are still cold.
Please more VR races. Would be so much more exciting to watch.
Great win gt way to stick through that one I was on the edge of my seat as per usual 😅
Nicely done!
When the shadow realm entry creates an interesting race lol. Without it this would have been a landslide victory for you.
Never give up! Always run to the end!
