  • Sickness / queezy feeling has completely gone - just had to have a few goes and it's no longer - feel nothing negative from the headset anymore. Give it like 5 - 6 trys until you're feeling a bit off and you can go longer each time you retry. Eventually you just don't get sick anymore.
    Thanks for watching all.

There's a weird sensation I had to work through on tracks with sudden elevation changes like Spa... I would hit Eau Rouge and my head felt like it was still down there even though I was now at the top of Raidillon. After a few days that went away. The Nordschleife is still a roller coaster...

Coming to this video late. Loved watching your reaction to trying this out for the first time. Glad to see in the description that you got over the sim sickness, as you basically did everything the hard way when it comes to starting out in VR! 🤣 ...like I said though, I'm glad it all worked out!
I'll leave a few tips in case anyone else is thinking of starting out in VR. The biggest thing is that you should take a break immediately when you feel sick. Some people are able to get over it, but for many people, trying to push through those feelings will only make them worse. The symptoms to look for are nausea, dizziness, and sweating. By taking breaks when these symptoms occur and waiting until they've passed before jumping back in, most people can acclimatize quickly.
A couple other tips: In GT7, picking a flat track and a car where you're more enclosed can help a lot. Also having a fan blowing on you from the front or side can help (I think maybe it grounds you in reality a little bit). If you're really struggling with sim sickness, try switching to a game where you're not moving around. There are lots of great options, including Moss 1 + 2, Demeo, Puzzling Places, Beat Saber, and Tetris Effect Connected. Games where you aren't moving are more comfortable so they can help you acclimatize to VR.
Hope this helps anyone getting into VR for the first time, and I hope you're still enjoying VR. 👍

Just lean forward a little when you brake , immersion is all about how much your willing to put in too , lean a little in the corners , push back when you accelerate and lurch forward when you brake and I guarantee you it will feel even more realistic, I notice I do it automatically when i play but alot of people just sit so still.....GET INTO THE GAME , not just be in the game

Lol… in 2018 when I bought my first Rift CV2 and started Project Cars 2 in VR, I had the same feeling you’ve got here. I was blown away by it. To sit in a car and in the game world instead of looking at the game world. Racing was never the same anymore. All the cockpit games are so suitable for VR. Racing in VR feels so natural and you can’t describe how it is, you have to experience it yourself. To bad my rift is EOL and I raced a few years with a trripplescreen setup. Now I recently bought a ps5 and I want a PSVR2 as well. Mainly for racing in VR, although the AI in GT7 is very bad compared to Sim games on the PC. That is a bummer.
Your brain will adapt to VR after a while. After a few years of racing in VR, I do not experience any motion sickness anymore.. it all feels natural.

After about 3 days VRSR2 is well worth it on GT7. But the choice to not include some sort of switchable speedometer in VR makes doing Circuit Experience in some cars super grindy. I'm in the U.S. and I can deal with KMH but not if the dials are so tiny I can hardly make out the digits. You may find that racing competitively is loads better. You can get a much better feel for the road so you can pass inside corners and the such like a seasoned pro!
