    THOUGHTS►
So I’ve been spending time learning how to make Deepfakes for the past 6 months. This all started when I saw Corridor Digital’s Luke Skywalker DF video, and it was really well done. Therefore, I decided to look into Deepfakes cause I had one scene in mind that I wanted to see, Bruce Lee’s face on Danny Chan’s. But while that was happening, a lot of talk of Bruce Lee’s portrayal in Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood came back into the limelight. Not to go into it, I watched the movie, I’ve listened to both sides, and truth be told, seeing how he was handled really sucked. Now in Ip Man 4’s case, Lee is shown to be more human, and Chan really brought him to life. And what I took from CD’s video was that you still need your actor to perform so they feel alive. And he’s pulled off a great performance even without needing to resort to CG. However, I still wanted to see what it’d be like if they took the DF approach. Could I use my VFX knowledge to perform a good deepfake?
And what if Bruce Lee was here today to play himself in Ip Man 4? - PN

Embodied Bruce Lee's style well? Have you seen real documentaries about him? This is nothing but a pretty cheap, typical and not very well made parody. Even his style is wrong, which means that the actor didn't really understand Bruce's style. The actors knowledge of who Bruce Lee was and what he did is clearly superficial.

It was really a thrill to see something fresh from Bruce Lee. Even if it was not exactly authentic. Your work here is amazing and so realistic looking. You really seemed to capture the Superstars essence in these scenes. It was so exciting for me to see, me being the huge Bruce lee fan that I am. (Me and another 100 million people at least, Right?) Excellent work Patrick. You should attempt to contact the Lee Estate and see if they would be interested in partnering with you to do a full movie. Maybe start by completely finishing the Game of Death, the way Bruce originally intended for it to be released. Not only would that be super super cool, but It would probably be a huge box office smash if you could get similar results like what you have shown in your video editing work here. I think that Mrs. Linda Lee Cadwell, if involved and given proper consulting rights might just be very open to possibly working with you on at least a Game Of Death project and maybe something else moving forward. You never know right? That is if the right strong, humble team approached her and I don't know, if she still has rights to that film. I will definitely subscribe to your channel and hope for more great work. The world definitely wants to see more respectful done, quality Bruce Lee films. Good luck with your work moving forward.

This video makes me think back on the hypothetical match between Bruce and Ali. My theory is, Bruce was afraid of unleashing the full power of his fists _and_ his feet once he realized he was not really hurting the giant playing by the rules. But that fight is only one of the many things Bruce Lee was not able to do in such a short lifetime.

I had no idea what the martial artist's name was until I read here that his name is "Danny Chan". I am 66 years old and a BIG Bruce Lee fan. I couldn't believe it when he passed away so suddenly and unexpectedly in 1973 (I was a young teenager. 16 years old). I literally cried like a baby when he died. I have watched ALL of his movies at least 100 times or more, and I have all of his posters, books and training manuals. Bruce Lee's movies NEVER get old for me. Getting back to Mr. Danny Chan portraying Bruce in IP Man 4,...in my humble and personal opinion,...HE IS BY FAR,....the BEST Bruce Lee impersonator I have seen to date (2023). This man ACTUALLY LOOKS JUST LIKE BRUCE LEE!! He could be his TWIN BROTHER!! It is CHILLING!! Its like seeing Bruce re-incarnated,... back from the dead!! His mannerisms, his martial arts moves. UNBELIEVABLE!! Of course NO ONE can duplicate the MASTER 100%, just going back to watch any Bruce Lee movie confirms that. The unmistakable Bruce Lee battle screams, facial expressions, the catlike reflexes, moves, and absolute martial arts mastery,...UNMISTAKABLE and WILL NEVER BE DUPLICATED. As the saying goes,..."Often imitated BUT NEVER DUPLICATED". There will NEVER BE ANOTHER Bruce Lee. Again,...Kudos to Mr. Danny Chan for a job well done sir. Bruce is smiling down from heaven.

This was unbelievable! You deserve an award! Thank you for bringing my hero Bruce Lee back to life! I wonder if Shannon Lee saw this? It is an awesome tribute to her father, and just blew me away! Thank you so much! To me, you are a miracle worker! 🙏

You know Bruce Lee was one of a kind when even a deep fake can't fully replicate his speed and style. Nevertheless, huge props to the creator for making this. I look forward to enjoying future projects. Good work!

Franchement, chapeau!!!!

Imagine being a Bruce Lee sendup in a Stephen Chow film to actually playing the man in Donnie Yen’s seminal series. It probably works better to the deepfake’s favour that Danny literally breathes the character in these films. Great stuff!

This is so much meaning to me..I grow up watching all his movies and having a big poster of him in my room...I cry when he lose the fight but my father always said all heroes will lose at the beginning and win in the end so he said sometimes you feel lose or fail in your life remember is the beginning and you know you will win in the end when you do not stop work hard. At the moment I don't understand because i am only 7. Bruce Lee and my Father are always my Heroes.
