This truck could serve as an alternative to the Raptor R IF true offroading isn't your thing. Its got the speed down to a science, but the Raptor/TRXs suspension and wheel travel is the real deal. BUT this will like be priced near MSRP of a Raptor R, but the majority of those trucks will be marked up something serious! I love the looks of this, except how far the exhaust tips hang from the bumper. And the keeping of the wood and adding carbon fiber into the interior is not quite my taste.(I don't think they went far enough on the interior, IMO)My OCD is doing a thing!

That's pretty much what I'm doing at the moment. I have a 2016 with 48k km on the odometer that I bought new but, only used as a family car so far, it still looks and feels like a brand new truck. I've got a heavy duty pickup for the dirty and heavy workload. The rear end of the F150 will be upgraded to a 5 link suspension to get rid of the leaf springs and the front end will have a few more inches of travel, nothing crazy, I want to minimize the ride height gain to keep the weight as close to the ground as possible. I don't want the lifted look and I don't need the performance upgrades of a Shelby, I just want to build the softest road hugging truck possible to flatten those country dirt roads.

Not if he actually wants to go offroading. The wheels on this Shelby are too large to make a good offroader. This is a street truck with some offroad capabilities. His new Raptor and TRX have a better wheel and shock set up for offroading, and are similarly fast (or faster) on the street anyway.
Ill bet the fit and finish on this Shelby is to a much higher standard than a Raptor and 2x better than a TRX. Nobody is in a hurry slapping these together on an assembly line.
That makes zero sense. These are not hand assembled. It is a lift kit with shocks/wheels/tires and Whipple on the engine. Not exactly a barometer for "high fit/finish". Plus the TRX is not associated with poor quality or fit/finish execution.
@@hellkitty1014 Shelby gets a stripped down F150 platinum or top end crew cab and a crate or 2 of OEM parts. They get reassembled by absolute perfectionists. I live a mile away from Shelby Las Vegas. I don't see these trucks at my location but I've owned a Shelby mustang. No stone is unturned meaning I had a realiable car. Im a Mopar guy 1st. It's just like how Brampton assembles Challengers etc better than what you will see from Mexico.
i always just say screw 0aying all that money for the (shelby name roush name Hennessy name harley name etc) you can build a off road or street f150 with every piece you like for so much cheaper and make more power. you have backroad driver and their f150s that make 1000hp and smoke the c8. just a supercharger on factory sealed motor. Or aldoweld and midnight performance making 1200whp and they have tons of of f150s running 8s on stock sealed coyotes. just add boost. 30k f150 with a coyote and 30k of mids of your choice and for 60k you can have a 900whp for reliability or 1200whp pushing it . And boom you have a f150 thats a supercar killer especially from a dig with the awd.

And as an owner of a 2017 Raptor, I agree with HellKitty 101 and would recommend anyone trying to decide, you need to know if you want the off-road capabilities or more of a road-warrior truck with less extreme off road capabilities. Off-road go with the Raptor/Raptor R/TRX and regardless of which of these 3 you choose, make sure to take them out and see what they can do first hand, you will NOT regret it, but be safe. Not saying the Super Snake can't off-road, just saying, maybe ask yourself if it is a true off-roading machine OR maybe, possibly, a road-warrior with a more limited off-roading? IMHO, not rims I would be choosing for an off-road truck, but maybe that is just me.
You notice any weird transmission feels on your raptor? Sometimes when I’m cruising in auto on the freeway it’ll randomly feel like it’s down shifting and slowing me down then I kinda get kicked out and back into a higher gear? Wondering if this will go Away with the engine breaking in or a common problem with the 10 speed?
Side note it doesn’t do it very often at all. It’s and when it does it seems to straighten itself out soon enough. It’s just disheartening in a near 90k truck

My 2020 Raptor had same issue. The service bulletin requires the transmission control module to be flashed/reset in order to resolve the issue.
