Welcome to our RUclips channel, where we share the art of bonsai cultivation and maintenance. In this video, we'll guide you through the process of trimming back the summer growth on a Japanese maple bonsai, helping it maintain its beauty and health throughout the growing season.
Japanese maples are renowned for their delicate and graceful appearance, and proper pruning is essential to preserve their unique charm. Trimming back the summer growth is a crucial step in bonsai care, as it encourages better branch structure, enhances the tree's overall aesthetics, and promotes inner foliage growth by allowing more light and air to reach the inner parts of the tree.
Remember that bonsai care is an ongoing process, and regularly observing and maintaining your Japanese maple bonsai will lead to stunning results over time.

Japanese maple is an interesting tree, very beautiful and also durable. You just have to protect it from the sun. Yours is amazing ! 🌳

Wow that tree exploded with growth! I have to remember letting my trees grow out a bit more, I have the habit to prune off long shoots when I see them. 😅

Thanks for the update. - Many trees get lost forever on RUclips. I know this tree is on a path to refinement, but I wonder if you use the 'Hedge Pruning' method with other trees that are starting out?
