    I know you love your cameras, Borjn. Whatever you used here, was perfect. This could be a Netflix documentary. Great work my man! Also, thank you for letting us in on this collection! I am a little too far to maybe go see these trees at the garden. Amazing trees! I’m really happy that the pandemic kind of introduced bonsai to more people and young people, especially.

    Thanks for sharing this! Mr McLanes trident maples and Japanese maples are stunning.
    That the Aldridge Botanical Gardens were created in memory of a friend and practitioner of bonsai make them beautiful in spirit, as well as beautiful to look at.

    How fortunate for Birmingham and surrounds to have this 1st class collection so close. It has it all, world class trees, meticulous care, generous benefactors; a must see in, or if close to, Birmingham. Thank you. 🪴

      Few people are wealthy enough to be able to buy and import fully styled trees from Japan. In a way I think that's cheating. Better to start with nursery stock or a tree collected from Nature and shape and develop it on your own.

    • @t3dwards13
      @t3dwards13 Год назад +1

      @@danielkosta3134 Sure, you could look at it as cheating...But a good portion of his collection he has grown.
      Are all of your trees grown by you from seed, layering or cutting?
      Would buying an aged, but not styled tree from home depot be considered cheating as well? Even that cuts years out of bonsai development.

    • @danielkosta3134
      @danielkosta3134 Год назад +1

      @@t3dwards13 several of the trees in this video were purchased from Japan as fully styled and developed trees. One was mentioned even having been exhibited in the kokofu competition. All of my trees came either from general landscape nursery stock or are trees collected from Nature by professional collectors. All of these trees were designed, shaped, and developed by me, not by anyone else.

    • @LadDox_
      @LadDox_ Год назад

      @@danielkosta3134who gives a shit. Calm down. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. That’s like saying someone who buys a painting is cheating because they didnt paint it themselves. It’s asinine

    This video inspired me to make a trip to the garden. I live 15-20 minutes away. The bonsai in the video hadn’t been changed out and they were stunning. Best examples I’ve seen since visiting saitama in 2017.

I also started reading books which ive never done in my life.I watched soo many videos to keep myself calm and sit down and learn i couldnt ask for a better hobby right now and hopefully ill take this art form to the grave.

    So nice!
    I've just had some drainage pits poured behind my house and they added a darker grey colour dye to the mix to match the retaining wall. I wonder if it'd look better to do the same with the cement fill in that trident maple? Match the rock a bit more?
