On both the rumbler and the kickback you can activate inspiring barrage and blaze away by spamming the special swing at nothing. This is because of the change they made to these sorts of blessings now being based on using 10% of the magazine, these weapons have 1 round and the code gets confused thinking "you attacked with the weapon therefore you must have used ammo, ammo max is 1, so you must have used at least 10%, therefore activate blessing" this will almost certainly get patched so enjoy ranged immunity while you can via swatting the bullets away with a metal tube (inspiring barrage). Use this forbidden knowledge wisely.
@@cashcrop_ To be fair, it was a bit of a hyperbole on my part but it totally does stack blaze away without requiring you to expend ammo. Unfortunately Ogryn inspiring barrage doesn't work right so the advertised 60% stacking 5 times is more like "you get 60% increase while the stacks last if you get max stacks" as opposed to 300% increase. It isn't the one that the shredder gets unfortunately (or maybe fortunately since they may not bother to fix it).
@@JP-jq7ob Of note: It specifically only works if you have a shell loaded, if you fire then spam the special to prevent reload it will not apply blaze away or inspiring barrage stacks further increasing the mystery of why it works in the first place since with these guns you have to fire, reload, and fire again to proc them normally. Warp fuckery. Like I said, forbidden knowledge, use it wisely.
I really appreciate you making content for ogryn and giving numbers on his kit. There's little ogryn centered content and its refreshing to see the big guy get some love and attention.
Love the Ogryn. It's definitely an outlier among classes played, but it, to me, when one is on the team, makes runs smooth as silk. Thanks for watching, subscribing, and commenting. I appreciate it.
I appreciate the fact that you always take the time to watch my videos and leave a comment. It means a lot to me, for sure. I try to improve something with each video, and I'm getting a bit faster with my cuts now. Thanks for your sub, too. Helps me quite a bit. Once I hit 1k subs, I can then link to URLs in "cards" which will allow me to easily reference things other than my own videos or someone else's channel splash page. Looking forward to that.
I'd like to see adhesive charge adjusted to have tiers, t2 monsters, t3 monsters + elites, t4 add specials to it. I run flak on my rumbler just to increase TTK on flak specials. something like the above would increase consistency when SHTF.
That would be tight. I also wouldn't mind it just being the special attack, loading a "sticky round" into the Rumbler that won't bounce but will stick to anything, including walls.
Got my Ogryn to level 30 this weekend and still haven't seen a good Rumblers; lots of stubbers and grenade gauntlets though. Hopefully I can get a good one soon, they always bring some fun and chaos to a run when another Skullbreaker brings one. I gotta say, Ogryn has been sort of a trip to level up. It seems like it would be the most aggro and get in the thick of it class, and it does that well... But the sheer size of the lads and the way their ranged weapons work really makes that play style risky and punishing. Really started coming into its own when I realized the sheer amount of suppression all the big guns cause. Even if you wiff shots, you'll still send everything running for cover and give your team time to take positions/return fire. Its a really novel playstyle compared to a lot of FPS's, I can only imagine it's even better in a well coordinated group.
I mained Zealot for so long, then raised up my Skullbreaker, and always have a hard time going back. Try out the Mk II Ripper. Everyone loves the Mk V, but I'm not a huge fan. Mk II is a Flak cannon with decent range, major suppression, and I definitely get loads of kills with it. If I can catch a pack of shooters early enough, and they're within 20m, they're dead before I've emptied half the mag. When coupled with Blaze Away and Can Opener, it really covers a lot of cons to running a Cleaver, being a big target, and being melee focused. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate your sub, as well. Finally, welcome to Ogryn Skullbreaker. Careful, you may not play anything else for a while. =D
Rumbler is my personal favorite weapon in the game. Every weapon is good but god I love that feeling of BONK when you hit an enemy in the critical spot and then their body flies from the explosion.
Ah, the never ending perks of Ogryn's weapon that can stagger a lot but damage few. Never get old, isn't it? About the rumbler or the Gauntlet, they are both outshine by the heavy stubber, by some extent. Can deal better than boomer in every aspect, except carapace and mass stagger, which (for this last part) is a negative for boomer, especially rumbler: you say that it stagger group of enemy offering time to the team to mop them or to replace. Replace, I can somewhat agree... But forcefully. 90% of the time, rumbler will spread a horde all over, including behind you. Instead of a perfectly canalized horde, you are now fighting stuff 360°. Some Ogryn does think about shooting stuff in the back, which delay and trim some of the horde, which is better. Somewhat, as it still spread thing and if you have a weapon with a lot of penetration, like plasma gun, Voidstrike staff, flamer, etc... you have your alligned target all over. Bad! Rumbler stagger and spread more than it kill and most of the time, it's a bad thing, worst in horde scenario. The only moment I did appreciate the rumbler was when 2 Ogryns got it. It wasn't a destruction mission, it was an execution as 2 nade at the same time kill any horde and those big boy know how to shot at the same place. Golden. But that does not happen a lot. So rumbler? Nay! Gauntlet is a bit better but got his own share of downside and things that does not work like you expect, like the pinpoint blessing. This one is so misleading and immensely disappointing when you realize. The special btw, is also disappointing. You hope so much that it turn to be a one shot machine, as it's crazy slow to set up and animation lock you. At least that it have special damage for carapace (which was my idea for this weapon). Just no... It kill horde, but as you take this weapon to compensate for the butcher... Well, let's take the butcher, right? But as said, it's outshined by heavy stubber and only in a few selected niche situation, it's better. Gauntlet is a yes for me, but... with hope they'll make it better/correct stuff. All in all, before heavy stubber, gauntlet was my go to weapon with the medium stubber. Now I don't remember the last time I took it and it'll remain that way unless they change pinpoint to actually do something with the special (the explosion part, I don't care it enhance the melee part). Anyway, i'm negative with those two, but still super positive for your videos. Thanks and keep up the good work!
I'm with you on dumping Rumbler rounds into hordes, most of the time. When it gets thick, and your team is not handling it well, it's time for the reset button that is the Rumbler ground pound. Much like Vets throwing grenades at the front of the horde while it's being cleared is bad, same with the Rumbler. Dome some dudes in the back, and thin it out from both ends. The Pinpoint Target blessing let me down so much. Hopefully it gets a fix. I would love to see what it can do. The only use case for the Special Attack against regular units, to me, is when you have a downed teammate. You're not being attacked, and everything will become a puddle on the floor with that one grenade. The wind up is slow, and certainly locks you in. It's risky when the pressure is on. Heavy Stubber is solid. I don't like running it with my BB. My flavor, when rolling BB (if I'm not going with Rumbler or GG), is the Mk II Ripper with Can Opener IV and Blaze Away III. Love that gun. Thanks for watching and commenting, as always. Thank you for your sub, as well. I appreciate it. Until next time, Alasthors.
I really enjoy how you don't necessarily focus in on breakpoint values and rather do shots to kill. With how "Duct tape and epoxy" the math in this game is with random exceptions and hidden variables it's much more viable to just say "Yeah dome it 4 times and it'll be good"
good video, one thing i will say is there is one reliable bounce i've found with the rumbler, if you just shoot straight into the shield of a bulwark it flies over them and explodes behind them (knocking them over) nearly 100% of the time. Like just striaght into their shield as they walk at you, only time i've had it fail is when it hits some terrain as it goes over
That is quite interesting. I'll have to give this a whirl. With all these monstrosities in Maelstrom, I'm usually running a Rumbler when we have another Ogryn in the group. Thanks for the tip, and for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it.
with the rumbler i opt'd for adhesive grenade and brittleness blessing to 2 shot crushers, bulwarks, and reapers in damnation. Having like 80% penetration helps too. Both blessings are max rank, and the ult spam with brittleness and ult rending ups the dps and damage on bosses as well. AG plus Blaze away was just slower compared to AG plus brittlesness blessing
I run the Mk1 club and the achlys heavy stubber as of late and never really 'clicked' with the Grenadier Gauntlet, so I may have to try and roll and blessing-up a good Grenadier Gauntlet. I also have an adhesive rumbler I haven't taken out for a spin since getting Like A Four Leaf Clover. Hmmm. . .
Four Leaf Clover, as in all characters to 30? Grats. It takes some time and dedication. Mk I Club is stellar. I love the sound of the Achlys, and the movement speed. I don't have much trigger-time on it, though. Once I gobbled up a killer Gorgonum, it's tough to tear myself away without a comparable version of a different Mark. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch. I appreciate it.
Another excellent video. Rumbler is my fav orgyn ranged weapon. I use deck bounces alot to get grenades into the horde, over cover (mine or there's) or so they detonate right behind that wall of Crushers and Bulworks charging where the stagger will help more than damage.
I do like the Rumbler. Thanks for watching. I feel like I got a bit lazy on this video. It feels unfinished to me for some reason. I'm looking forward to the potential change to Adhesive Charge in Patch 13 (sticks to Ogryns too). It's gonna be tight.
The rumbler is my favaourite alongside the kickback. I just love to be the midst of it and just sow chaos amongst the enemy. I never really though about using the rumbler as a boss dps machine though, thanks for elaborating on that idea, I might give it a shot since I am an ogyrn main. I don't remeber if you mentioned this but the kick back is an amazing suppresion maching for hallways and corridors. Just press W and keep firing away and you'll be in meele range in no time. On top of that it is amazing against maniacs with being able to one shot all of them on Damnation if you run +25% maniac damage. Moreover, your video quality has vastly improved over the past 3 uploads and you got a new mic which makes it even better. Keep the content coming, your deep dive analysis are extremly useful to veterans as well as newbies alike. Cheers Crop.
Love me some Kickback. I'd love to see it get some changes to its spread and modifications to its current Blessings. Rumbler definitely brings the chaos. Thank you for the kind words concerning my progression in video quality. Still learning and trying to get better each time. Trying to make cuts that are in my mind but I don't know how to do is what tends to reduce the frequency of uploads. Thanks.
To point something out, the grenadier gauntlets base reticle is ranged and semi(?) accurate. Each vertical notch is 10m the bottom of the reticle is about 50m out.
Another great video! I've always stuck with my Mk V Ripper gun for the past several months, but the Emperor has been giving me some grenade gauntlets with some VERY good base stats including one with a base 380. I'll have to see if I can roll some good blessing and perks and try it out. When it comes to the brittleness debuff, do you know if it's only applied when the explosion goes off? Or does it have to be a direct hit from the projectile? I would love to know if exploding a pack of scab ragers will make them much easier for the rest of my team to kill, but then again I don't know just how much more effective brittleness is against flak. The effect is far more pronounced against carapace, which is obvious when I witnessed a friend of mine melt a crusher using their recon lasgun before my can opener 4 can even wear off (5 seconds) on Damnation.
I haven't tested the Shattering Impact application from splash. The wording is on direct impact, but it could be wrong. Stranger things have happened in this game. I have tried to like the Mk V Ripper. I cannot tear myself away from my Mk II. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Good luck on your GG journey. It's a fun weapon.
You're welcome. I have fun making these videos, even though they can be a slog at times (especially toward the end - all the QC and finetuning). Thanks for watching and commenting.
Rumbler just slaps. One key point on it is how much the grenade bounce and low point on target time protects your ogryn. Don't stand there eating bullets with a stubber. dodge in and out of the firing line and loose a grenade. Or bounce it round the corner.
Honestly, when you get a great bank shot down a hallway around a corner, it feels amazing. Teammates tend to notice, too. Always fun. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch. I appreciate it.
Love your videos, however I can't lie and say they don't make me angry. All of the bugs that haven't even been mentioned on all of the Ogryn weapons are insane and need to be fixed, and it doubly hurts when they already have a reduced pool of weapons to work with.
It used to bother me. It's kind of exciting now. What am I to find? Thanks for watching and commenting. It was cool running that Hi5 Shock with you last night. Intensity = 11
I was a bit saddened with Pinpoint Targeting. I tried it on many enemies and tried various ranks of it. I really wanted it to be bugged on Rank 3. It's not just Rank 3, unfortunately. Thanks for repeatedly watching and commenting on my videos. It means a lot. One day, the planets will align and we'll play together. I hollered at you a couple of nights ago on Steam, but you were 4/4 and figured you were in deep. Some other time.

@@Roamingfirebat It must have been a bug on YT Studio. Your profile pic is different now. Lol. Thanks for the reply. How is SC2? I played the first one many eons ago.
I'll give it a look. I remember playing the original Command & Conquer with a kid next door over dial-up. Lots of RTS games came out over the next few years and I kinda moved away from that genre. I think I have it on my Blizzard account. I'll have to check it.
Not a fan of the rumbler. When I'm playing another class and the ogryn is rumbler happy it ends up just throwing the enemy around making it hard to hit them, hard to tell whose dead and who just flew behind me to get back up... its good at suppressing shooters from a distance though?
It is definitely good at disruption. I like the fact that the Ogryn uses a grenade launcher as a single-target weapon. It's ridiculous. I know what you're talking about regarding Rumbler-happy Ogryns. I tend to play Ogryn or Zealot (following an Ogryn around when they're available), so I'm fairly used to swinging at a bunch of stuff on the ground. Their charge does the same thing, and sometimes I am left scratching my head at the ill-timed use of the charge, too. Ogryn is tough to play. You're big and need to stay out of the way of your teams' ranged weapons, explosions and charges scatter enemies (I typically save my charge for packs of Ogryns/Maulers/Ragers/Gunners/Shotgunners and I use the Rumbler to cause a ruckus when things are falling apart for the team to get a soft reset of mobs), you have to slide almost constantly when engaged in combat so you don't get shot (cover is more difficult to find compared to human-sized characters), and you have a small weapon pool that contains a lot of broken Blessings.
Lots of Flak out there. Definitely some breakpoints that are achievable if you're lucky with the epicenter of the explosion. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
Four ideas cooking, Power Maul is one. I've begun working on the script for one of the four, and have some initial music laid out for another. Neither of which is the Power Maul. Those deep dives take a lot out of me, as they take (on average) around 3 hours of work per minute of video. I'm glad you like them. I like making them. Thanks.
It really is satisfying. I often look around at my teammates to see if they noticed how absolutely perfect the trajectory and timing was, assuming they are very impressed. Simple as.
BOOOOOOOOOM!!! I thought about adding the BOX to this video with the explosion on armored target impact, but didn't. Now I'm regretting it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
GG has slow melee attacks, and the wind up for the Special is slow as molasses. I think, unless you intentionally hold for timing, it should just come out as quickly as the Light 3. There are a lot of things with it that aren't how you'd assume they work, like Shattering Impact not applying on the Special. I used it and Rumbler exclusively until Can Opener on Ripper got better. Now that's pretty much what I run. Unless I'm going for the meme. Thanks for the comment.

The brittleness is from direct impact, not the explosion.
Really helpful. Thanks.
Fantastic video.
I appreciate that.
Let the rumbling of boomer mowers in summer drive away the heretic and level the unclean.
Time to lower the cutting deck.
best Darktide weapon reviewer so far.
Kind of you to say. Thanks for watching.
Elite intro.
Gracias, mi hermano.
I
I was a bit saddened with Pinpoint Targeting.
@@cashcrop_ same!! I was practicing using it and charging it and delivering that grenade punch and then like I couldn't tell if was doing anything or not. Your very welcome sir I love the content!! Absolutely! I actually had IRL friends want to play unexpectedly and I had to support my buddies! most of my friends / family won't touch this game anymore! I look forward to it!
We need the numbers, so no worries.
generally like the gauntlet more since it feels more reliable when killen priority targets in general.
Yes, it's initial impact is great. Especially with the change to Pinpointing Target.
Good stuff
Muchas gracias.
Watching this was a privilege
Carlos, I appreciate your dedication to watching and commenting on my videos. I'm very happy there are folks out there who enjoy my little project in creativity. It's been a blast so far.
Thank you for your time. See ya in the next one.
Right before I have to get to bed.
The moment I understood the weakness of my flesh.
Explosions make happy chemicals in brain. All I need
Who is your profile picture? I ask because you and @fordtruck239 have the same one.
You post made me laugh.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it. GGs
It’s a unit frame of a firebat from Starcraft2 they are a walking warcrime and my favorite unit
@@Roamingfirebat It must have been a bug on YT Studio. Your profile pic is different now. Lol. Thanks for the reply. How is SC2? I played the first one many eons ago.
@@cashcrop_ ah lol yeah YT has been odd lately.
I play pretty much coop only I find it fun
I run unarmored and flak damage on the rumbler so I can get rid of shooters easily.
Lots of Flak out there. Definitely some breakpoints that are achievable if you're lucky with the epicenter of the explosion.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
rumbler with the sticky perk
I'm a fan.
so i got one with like 75% plus in everything except blast radius... i got only 62% blast radius should i get rid of it?
I'd run it.
power maul deep dive when?
Four ideas cooking, Power Maul is one. I've begun working on the script for one of the four, and have some initial music laid out for another. Neither of which is the Power Maul. Those deep dives take a lot out of me, as they take (on average) around 3 hours of work per minute of video. I'm glad you like them. I like making them. Thanks.
Nothing in the game quite compares to firing a high velocity football sized explosive into the head of a sniper.
It really is satisfying. I often look around at my teammates to see if they noticed how absolutely perfect the trajectory and timing was, assuming they are very impressed. Simple as.
Ah yes, boom
BOOOOOOOOOM!!! I thought about adding the BOX to this video with the explosion on armored target impact, but didn't. Now I'm regretting it.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
sticky grenades has entered the chat...
Aw yeah. Adhesive Charge got a nice bump in versatility fo sho.
Such a wasted potential to not have the special attack do extra damage... its fun as hell but takes to much time and doesn't pay off.
@@cashcrop_ You'd assume there'd be a payoff in damage for punching the barrel of a grenade gauntlet into the target lol
Both are okay boomers.
What's the best boomer?
