That short clip where the Ultramarines holding their ground pummeling the Helbrute was as metal as seeing Calgar himself. And for some reason I was expecting a "For I, the esteemed CATO SICARIUS" out of nowhere.
Calgar was probably sat there at base, then got a message from Titus and was like *”HOLY SHIT. TITUS. Where has this motherf*cker been?”* Then shipped out immediately.
Their armor is awesome yes, but the bit I love is how csually we see one deal with the one Tzeenchgor that managed to somehow evade Calgars bolsters, like he was walking to the store or something, just a casual block and sweep, no real obvious effort or force put into it
Never been an Ultramarine fanboy...until now. The Lord Defender of Ultramar looks exactly like i expected from a Chapter Master. What a cool time to be a 40K nerd
The part where Titus raises the banner and shoots with all the brothers is one of the best and most beautiful scenes I have seen in the last 6 years in games.
The brotherhood, the raw masculinity, the loyalty, the bravery, the badassery and just the simple unwavering respect communicated with so few lines of dialogue is just such masterful and genuine storytelling. Honestly one of my favorite pieces of media that I've consumed all year.
7:13-I love this bit here with the Repulsors strobing the Daemon with their Las-Talons. Of course, the Repulsors could be more accurate to prior depictions in lore, with their grav plates being so powerful as to crack the ground beneath them with their passage and the Las-Talons double-shotting, but it still makes for a fantastic display.
I’m 90% sure the nids can be handled from there on, its a splinter fleet not a main one and the loss of that hive tyrant put a huge stick in their wheel
Its kinda manly tear inducing that Titus started as an Intercessor, make shots count like a Sternguard, and is now technically an Ancient holding the Standard.
He was already the 2nd company commander in the first game before he was handed over to the inquisition then joining the deathwatch, he should be above all primarius marines in terms of experience and skill
Marines: shooting 1 round per minute into a horde of upcoming enemy Helbrute (with plasma canon that can one shot even a marine in tactical dreadnought armor): 🚶
The fukin 2 guys out of position, one with his leg blown off while the other pulls him to safety, while titus orders to cover them, while he himself is holding the company's banner on top of a hill..... DAMN this scene is amazing
If they plan to continue Titus' story in a third game, I sincerely hope they include both Calgar and Roboute Guilliman. I'd love to see a Daemon Primarch too.
Would be pretty cool if the third game took place on the Battle of Iax when Guilliman fought Mortarion then subsequently died to the Godblight only for the Emperor to revive, posses him and burn the garden of nurgle
I'm not a WH fan. I got the game cause it looked awesome. I wasn't disappointed, but I swear I got emotional during this scene hearing the guy trying drag his buddy back who lost his leg. Seeing the other dude crawling back by himself, watching more and more guys pour in. Then this man flies in raining death and jumps straight into the fight. My reaction : "I have no idea who you are, but I'll gladly die with you."
Which shows again that the producers did an amazing job, such that even one who has little idea of the universe outside the game world can be taken in and enjoy it. Welcome to Warhammer, it’s one Warp of a Ride ^-^
They vary in size, this one is clearly being boosted by the power of the warp, as every time an obelisk is inverted, it shrinks so it may not be it’s true size
@WitcherGerd They don't really have a "true" size as their forms are easily altered depending on how strong the Warp energy is cause it means they have to espend less effort to keep themselves solid outside the Warp. In books there are descriptions of Greater Daemons in the Warp the size of solar systems or star clusters.

I genuinely believe Calgar just recently found out about Titus being in the death watch I'm also fairly interested in what Leandros report about forge world Graia was how much was falsified as his career within the chapter wasn't halted
@@moanlyn8450 well there is data about that , the tech priest u save mention titus was declare death by the mecanicus after he destroy the artefact
i asume that was the initial report in coop with the inquisition the "mecanicus " was unable "recoverd" titus body
later maybe thanks to the cadians calgar learn titus was taken by the inquisition but we istill dont know if he know about leandros betrayal
Exactly, it only makes sense if leandros hid his own ass from the report.
To be fair Ulramarine are on of the more diplomatic chapter, maybe they don‘t want trouble with Inquisition.
Now imagine if it was Space Wolves marine that taken by the inquisition…
@@Vandelgard will be the perfect lie

12:51 "Get up!" possibly the two hardest words in the history of gaming.
Titus has faith in his Chapter Master but in the end it was the Chapter Master who has faith in Titus in ending the chaos threat.
Wait, are those Pylons?
Oh this planet’s suffering isn’t over at the end credits.
Probably has a necron tomb underneath the crust of the planet.
I can imagine necron was like *keep it down up there im trying to sleep*
Ah yes that's the smell of DLC on the air xD
Pylons don't mean anything.
Many planets around the Eye had them but no Tomb world there.
It is just means there is a warp fault there need to be stabilized
Would be fun fighting Necron next... and would be not fun too lul, those Gaus Gun will shred
When I first saw the re-enforcement scene, I was like “Oh, cool. Re-enfor-wait a minute. I know those fists. Holy shit, it’s actually him!”
Was genuinely surprised to see such a prominent character from the tabletop like Calgar in the game. And they did the chapter master justice. From how he’s portrayed, it’s very easy to believe this man has soloed a Lord of Skulls
Next game we'll fight the word bearers and we'll see Guilliman jump Lorgar😂
With Corvus coming in to help jump him
@@logandelaharpe6362 as a Raven Guard player, I would kill for that
Titus is on the Chapter Master's retinue now, it is a no-brainer that in the DLC or SM 3, we get to see, speak to and actually fight alongside Gulliman Himself
I, Catto Sicarius, have made notes on the manifold ways to improve the chaptermaster's battle tactics.
Why did I just read that in the voice of "If Emperor had text-to-speech device" Catto's voice xD

they updated that part to (Voice) instead of Calgar too ... def the Emperor!
10:30 I like how they followed up on the reason why Titus never stuck to the Codex like Leandros did; it was Calgar who taught him to think beyond it.

"FUCK OFF! YOU SPARKLING PIXIE MACHINE! (Proceeds to one-punch an ancient eldar super titan)" - Marneus Calgar
Calgar was probably sat there at base, then got a message from Titus and was like *”HOLY SHIT. TITUS. Where has this motherf*cker been?”* Then shipped out immediately.
Nah he was in a meeting with G Man himself after when he requested to get Titus back on 2nd company with Chapter Master Privileges.
This game is absolutely epic and actually feels 40k.

Their armor is awesome yes, but the bit I love is how csually we see one deal with the one Tzeenchgor that managed to somehow evade Calgars bolsters, like he was walking to the store or something, just a casual block and sweep, no real obvious effort or force put into it
I love how one is left handed so there's that perfect symmetry when they're flanking Calgar

As a guy from alpha legion im surprised too
Moment of respect from the UM
2:32 Henry Cavill !
I could see Kurt Russell playing Calgar.
Not as cool as land raiders.

The Hive Tyrant is killed off screen during the main campaign. You can play the mission in operations mode.
Probably they are saving it for further coop mission expansion, or at least I HOPE so.

Would be pretty cool to engage Word Bearers, and run into Lorgar being pursued by Corvus.

4:38 How I imagine a Total War 40k would look like
I'm not a WH fan.
"Quickly Brothers! we must pose for the codex cover!"
Necron machinery ? Oh lawd, i might have to dig deeper into this matter.
This is next level stuff. Well done to the game designers. Totally worth the wait.
Calgar's "GET UP!!!!!" is my new alarm clock sound
This game is just a spectacle of awesome from start to finish. Whether you're new to the universe, or a veteran of the lore.
You can see someone loved their work so much when they did Space Marine 1 and 2
4:38 never realized how big Lords of Change are till this one showed up
They are warp shit they choose how big they are
They vary in size, this one is clearly being boosted by the power of the warp, as every time an obelisk is inverted, it shrinks so it may not be it’s true size
12:50 "Get up"

Marneus : I will not tolerate you interrupting, I have yet to finish praising you, shut up and listen !
"HERE'S A FANCY HAT BROTHER!"
"BROTHER, I MUST DECLINE! I FEAR WEARING A HELMET WOULD HINDER MY MARKETABILITY!"
I find it poetic that Titus vaporizes Imurah with the device as he’s saying that all the Imperiams efforts are all for nothing.
didnt believe they'd let them use anyone big in the game, even more so when they just said at the beginning calgor had to run off to do some shit after seemingly just finding you, so when he finally came in it was hype as hell
maybe GW is learning, finally
Didnt they have abaddon voiced in dow2 chaos rising?
That greater Daemon entrance is so damn cool. This whole sequence is probably the coolest and most cinematic thing I've experienced in gaming
Is that the emperor talking to Titus? “Rise, Son of Guilliman.”
It’s Calgar in the subtitles
@@poolee77 it doesn't say Calgar, It's the emperor, The Emperor Lives
