Great tips!
Really well done Noah...thank you. Course bought ;)
Beautiful video!!! Playing along with my Stratocaster!❤
Incredibly beautiful and interesting, Noah. Not to mention your playing. Thanks so much for this and all you do, Noah. Benjamin
Hey Benjamin, thanks for the kind comment. Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you for this chord sir..God bless you!
Such great subtle shades you paint through your playing.
Thank so much appreciate that
I thought I was the only one that sees colors when I play and hear music.
Classic great lessons from Noah! Awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for the comment!
Noah, great lesson. Please make more lessons with tips about reharmonizing another famous chord progressions in jazz, neo-soul and like that.
Amazing course, thank you Noah ;)
My pleasure, thanks Vincent!
Beautifull sounds brother!
Thank you appreciate that
Nice chords and chord progressions. I especially liked the intervallic movement. I also like me a good II V I with a substitute dominant.
Great stuff Sir!...Tell me, what do you think of my (chord exercise) idea on your video right before this one - can you see any value in it? (thanks in advance!)
Noah, put this video in the best of section! Nice work as always.
Still waiting for some feedback on that 6000 Casio
Hi again. Nice video. You have covered much of this in other videos and in the course, but it is actually very helpful to get material in multiple ways. I have noticed that your videos tend to describe the techniques in a more functional way ("Soulful, diatonic"), than in the course materials, which tend to be more technical: "Bass line ascending chromatically", etc.
Question: where in the course materials can I find the "Souful, diationic" and "Neo Soul" examples written out? Have not come across those.
Great video. Noah, could you please explain the theoretical rationale for why the 'backdoor dominant' reharmonization for the V in the II V I works? Thanks!
Hey, sure thing. So the rationale is that the backdoor dominant (in this case Bb7) is borrowed from the parallel minor key (C minor). It has two shared notes with the V7 chord. Those two notes also help resolve nicely to the C Major. But at the end of the day, it just sounds good :p
@@NoahKellman Sounds good, thanks Noah!
What is the piano software that is being used? Chordie App's keyboard is Different.
sorry why exactly did you use an f minor chord leading into the backdoor dominant? still confused about that
Hey, your website isnt working, Please fix it
Hello Noah! Could you tell me which program or application you use to show the keyboard in your videos with the notes you're playing highlighted in color?🙏🙏
Hey Angel, I believe I linked it in the description it’s called Chordie, and I also use one called Synthesia
@@NoahKellman Ok! Gracias hermano🤜🤛👍
Hi, sorry just a little confused here at 3:07 you said we do the two of ‘that’ chord which will be F minor. I don’t understand this part
What I meant is that Fmin7 is the ii of Bb7, so you could think of Fmin7 as Bb7 as a ii V, make sense?
@@NoahKellman sorry i still dont get how is F min 7 a two of the Bb7. I understand that f is the dominant of Bb
@@divyanshkamra Bb7 is the V chord in the key of Eb. Fm7 is the ii chord in the key of Eb. When talking about ii-V chord progressions think about which key the V chord is diatonic to, and then figure out what the ii chord is in the key you have identified. I hope this helps!
@@Oat_God ok i get it now, i was just confused because i was thinking that we are playing in the key of C and was wondering how is F a two and Bb a 5 for that. But yeah if we are in the key of Eb then it all makes sense
