This song has a whole new meaning to me now, i recently lost my older brother on my 22nd Birthday. He was only 24, im in the Marines so i’ve been away for a while, i still stayed in touch with him and all and we were close, i shared a room with him for 17 years of my life. i woke up to the news that he had gone to the hospital with a headache. 8hrs later and it turned out he had cancer and couldn’t make it. Leukemia took my brother all within the span of 8hrs and the crazy thing is…it was completely out of no where, no warnings no history of leukemia in my family whatsoever. me and him played all the halo’s growing up and even still played halo when i came home to visit. we’d play the master chief collection and play the multiplayer. This song was actually played at his funeral because he was also learning a lot of songs on the piano, this is the one he was working on before he passed. a lot of memories this song brings to me and i’ll never forget the fun times i had with him playing halo, beating the campaigns together on expert and getting the scarab gun…great times. I lost him back 2013 I cant help but listen to this and think of the memories of him and me playing halo together, getting excited over new releases, messing around in co-op and forge. Thank you for making this beautiful version of an already beautiful song.
As someone who grew up with Halo 3, This brings back so many memories. I miss missing an entire assault rifle mag at a brute, or crying when I first saw Johnson die. I wish I could relive the days when I didn't know what I was doing, but still having fun.
at some point in the past 18 years, the round ended. You and your friends said goodnight with plans to play again soon. That never happened. There will never be another game like Halo 3. Sure, it's not the best game ever made but it was THE game for many of us. For me, it was senior year of High School and there will never be a more simple joy than logging on and playing for hours with my friends. Watching the Halo 3 trailer on my first ever surround sound is a memory that I'll never forget. I'd give anything to go back for just an hour...

I recently finished Halo 3 and it was absolutely amazing. Even though I now that there's 3 games after it, I still got that sense of uncertainty for the future and a small sense of closure. The part where Chief is drifting through the half of the ship had a perfect atmosphere. It's emptiness didn't make you nervous or scared or even bored, it was more serene. It was the moment when Chief could finally rest for a while. Halo 3 really was something special and I can see why the people who grew up with it love I so much.

I'd hope to see Halo Infinite's "Through The Trees." Been looking for a cover on it since first hearing it. It's perhaps my favorite musical piece in all of Halo.
Ha, I was in my early 20s when Halo 3 was released. I'm 36 now. I remember killing all you kid noobs back then. Sticking plasma grenades to your faces and hearing you rage your tiny high pitched voices into the mics lol. But alas, times have changed. I'm a little more mature now than I was then. Fun times. I still remember just leaving the menu music open just a little longer to hear this play before hopping into a match. Good times. How it flies.

Halo Music is extremely nostalgic to me, it makes me feel something I can't even explain, a mix of sadness that I will never get to relive those days, but happiness that I was playing and apart of something so wonderful and amazing, Halo brought me closer to my cousin's, and my family, the lonely nerd with barely any friends got to excel at something and gave me something to brag about. Halo has a special place in my heart that I hope i never forget. This cover really does it justice, thank you.
I loved the ODST soundtrack as it provided you with the sense of loneliness like you’ve never felt before. Almost like everything was hopeless the more you discovered rummaging through the city it takes place. The music, so somber, made me feel like I was that ODST. Alone. Without anyone to rely on at the time. Absolute masterpiece.

By the time Halo 3 was out, my group of friends had pretty much all drifted apart and in that same year lost another close friend in Iraq. So when getting to the title screen, hearing this for the first time I looked around the living room at the spots where my friends would've setup their TVs, Xboxs, etc. and felt a crushing emptiness. But also great joy from the memories. Never forget.
My dad bought me the original XBox for Christmas in 2001 with Halo CE included in the bundle along with Sega GT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future. He told me, "Hey buddy, I saw this and thought you'd like it. Espcially the green robot looking fella!." He passed away in 2015, and thanks to him 23 years later, I am still a fan of this beautiful universe thanks to my dad. And like this beautiful track's title so accurately describes, I'll Never Forget him. Thisnwas beautiful man🫡🤜🤛
Its hard to believe the servers have shut down, but I will never forget you boys. We fought the good fight. Halo 3 maybe gone, but it will live forever in our hearts, master chief collection, it is in your hands now.
Damn this reminds me of all those nights after school laying in my bed staring at the title screen waiting for my friends to get off the bus and get online. Gosh it's been over a decade, I'm feeling a lot older physically and mentally. I'm proud of who I've become and who I was then even. It's been a long road, and longer to go still. "Never forget" the Golden Era of Reach was the best days of my childhood.
Hearing all of these pieces played exceptionally beautifully on a piano brings emotions out of me. When I played Halo 3 I was in the 7th grade. For me this was some of the worst times of my life. Halo in general was there for me though. Didn't have Live to play the multiplayer back then but I still had friends to come over for split screen shenanigans. This song was the first piece of piano music I ever learned by ear as well. Halo holds so many nostalgic memories for me and was a crucial pillar of who I am today. Anytime I hear this piece specifically I get emotional. Do I want to go back to that time? No. Do I miss the passion I had for Halo back in the days and want to relive them fresh and unjaded? Without a doubt.
I stayed up learning this song on piano every night years ago. I remember 1 day I walked into my uncles house (he had a piano) and I started playing it. My family was completely floored and confused. My oldest brother almost started crying cus that was the game we grew up playing together he is 10 years older then me but he knew right there that our time together wasn't forgotten. I haven't really played piano in about 3-4 years but man this song brings me so much emotion and I have no idea why.
I keep coming back to this... You've made the best Halo covers on youtube, and I'm infinitely grateful (pun not intended). Please do more of these, maybe some covers from infinite?
Its 2008, you just came home from the store with halo 3, you just got the xbox 360 a year prior, finally you got halo 3, you put the dvd into the console and you start to hear this theme play right in the menu, absolutely insane time that i am very fond of still to this day.
this is the most nostalgic song in the world.if this is played anywhere i stop dead in my tracks and the memories just flood in. if this isn't the same for you ,you just weren't raised right.
i wish only the keys he is playing lit up, but the light also shines on the keys adjacent to the ones being played. just have to focus more on when the fingers are. this has been realy fun to learn, and is so beautiful on a real piano. thank you
I think of the game when I hear this peice. More importantly I think of the friends I used to play with the times we shared enjoying eachothers company... And those who passed away whom I will never forget. Its marks the end of my childhood and moving into my adult life. Never forget will always be beautiful.
I wish I discovered this channel back when I was in 6th grade. It would have made piano class much more enjoyable to be able to play something I liked.

I wouldn't blame them for taking inspiration from halo 3's soundtrack, as it's an absolute masterpiece!
@@AtinPiano Explains why Never Forget is my favorite Halo song and An End, Once and For All is my favorite Mass Effect song.
Speaking of Mass Effect, any plans to cover I'm Proud of You from ME3? 👀
Once the new Mass Effect title is closer to release, yes.
@@AtinPiano Damn you're right, i always felt these two song gave me the same vibe, makes sense now.
I'm gonna cry man... This song makes me so happy
Yup. You’ve just earned yourself a new subscriber.
My dad bought me the original XBox for Christmas in 2001 with Halo CE included in the bundle along with Sega GT 2002 and Jet Set Radio Future. He told me, "Hey buddy, I saw this and thought you'd like it. Espcially the green robot looking fella!."
He passed away in 2015, and thanks to him 23 years later, I am still a fan of this beautiful universe thanks to my dad. And like this beautiful track's title so accurately describes, I'll Never Forget him. Thisnwas beautiful man🫡🤜🤛
Listening to this while playing infinite BEAUTIFUL
AMAZING FRANCHISE 🥰 HALO FOR EVER . Grateful to the creativity
Its hard to believe the servers have shut down, but I will never forget you boys. We fought the good fight. Halo 3 maybe gone, but it will live forever in our hearts, master chief collection, it is in your hands now.
Bringing tears to my eyes reminding me of the old days.....
A hero need not make himself known. The world will do it for him when he is gone.
Hearing this song can make me cry, but you sir just guaranteed it this time. Well done! Beautiful cover🙏🏻
My 9 month old son loves this video, thank you for 3:26 mins of peace
This shit hit differently. Best cover on the internet. Well done.
1:49 Could listen to this part for hours
Spartans never die. They just go MIA.
Literal goosebumps as I listen to this. My absolute favorite piece of Halo music.
I dont know why, but I remembered playing halo and almost cried. Those games were the best ever.
I also love how the comments are full of halo quotes.
It will be a sad day when halo dies and we are all old stuck with its memories.
I love when you can see his head pop into frame! That's when you know it's good. *chefs kiss*
It's how the song starts that suddenly makes me cry, thats the power of Halo music!
The first few notes already got chills down my spine... 😭
Nothing but tears were shed... I miss the old Halo days..
Could listen to this for hours. Amazing job bud. Lots of childhood memories tied to this one. 👍👍
this is the most nostalgic song in the world.if this is played anywhere i stop dead in my tracks and the memories just flood in. if this isn't the same for you ,you just weren't raised right.
Tears to my eyes, absolutely loved this game and all the time I spent playing it with my friends in high school. Really wish I kept in touch.
You even nail and make the tone even more beautiful to hear. Favorite piano cover ever. The nostalgia hits
Bro, I am so hyped to listen to this!
Great job, mate!
AtinPiano strikes again! This is so, so amazing. Brings back so many memories, and now I’m playing Infinite!
i wish only the keys he is playing lit up, but the light also shines on the keys adjacent to the ones being played. just have to focus more on when the fingers are. this has been realy fun to learn, and is so beautiful on a real piano. thank you
I think of the game when I hear this peice.
1:53 Fond memories... I'll miss those days.
Love your videos, you should do One Final Effort or Through the Woods
Halo is my number 1 favorite game of all time. The story, the music, the battles. It's just perfect..
This song instantly reminded me of sitting in the multiplayer lobbies all those years ago with my brother when we were so little. I love it
I'm not crying, okay! 🥹 I wanted to keep this fire going
This makes me remember the good days,
This song gives me chills every single time, reminds me of so many great memories.
This song was my childhood, it brings back so many memories
I just moved far across my country to start a new career. I feel so lost and out of place, and I miss all of the places and people from my hometown: my family, my best friend, my dog, and the woman who couldn’t come with me. I’m going to miss all of them, and the places that hold so many special memories. This song has always resonated with me, but now more than ever. I’ll never forget the places and the people from home while I embark on this new great journey…

I've legit watched this over 100 times alone successfully trying to learn this song along with your sheet music. Thank you for this amazing video!
Whenever any halo music plays, I feel my soul reawaken, like it was there when the composition was made. I love halo
Finally , I was waiting for ages for someone to do it like this
This song gives me so much nostalgia halo 3 was my first halo game and one of my first games ever
Makes me cry every time
