Pippin: "I didn't think it would end this way. Gandalf: "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one we all must take... The gray rain curtain of this world rolls back, and then you see it." Pippin: "What, Gandalf? See what?" Gandalf: "White shores... And beyond, the far green country under a swift sunrise." Pippin: "Well, that isn't so bad." Gandalf: "No, no it isn't."
“I thought, ‘Wow this is strong. This is like Aragorn is in total grief over what just happened’,” Peter Jackson said in the DVD extras. “He didn't say anything to us, but we found out that Viggo had actually broken two toes. Normally an actor would say, ‘Cut, cut, I’ve hurt myself.’ Viggo turned that into the performance. He stayed in the character of Aragorn. He was letting that pain feed and drive his performance.” The entire cast and crew threw their entire souls into these movies. If aliens gave us 10 hours to prove to them that humanity had an imagination worthy of existence in this universe, the only right course of action would be to sit them down with the Lord of the Rings, and keep the popcorn coming. And the tissues.
Dear Patrick, you brought me to tears with this. Not only because I love LotR with my whole heart but because you did SO well with this masterpiece. I will listen to this whenever I need a little motivation boost, that there‘s something good and hope in this world. Just like our beloved Mr. Gamgee said.

There technically is no lotr "theme", it‘s either "In Dreams" or "Concerning Hobbits" (It‘s "In Dreams") Or it‘s mixed because there are also parts of "Rohan" and "The dark rider"
Lord of the rings recently has been an escape for me. Every time I feel stressed out or uncomfortable this story and it’s music makes me feel happy and confident
Lord of the Rings is the only trilogy that makes me BAWL my eyes out. Wow, you trolls are really coming at me for a sloppy, quickly written comment trying to correct it. I only have one thing to say... I LITERALLY don’t care.

"Saruman believes that only great power can keep evil in check. But that is not what I find. I find it is the small things. Everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay" One of my favorite speeches of all. Thanks Gandalf
The beginning of this song just makes me so nostalgic. Like, I remember the happy, carefree hobbit Frodo was and how he never came to that again, after everything he suffered.
@@thirumoorthy6778 Yeah, the Dark Knight is the best superhero movie in my opinion, tied with Infinity War, but IMO the best movies of all time would still be the LotR, maybe not the first two, but i love the third one, others are great don't get me wrong. Just the music, characters, the universe that Tolkien/Peter Jackson created just really makes for an epic story!
I can't even put it Into words how much this song meant to me as a child. It truly made me feel like I could do anything. That maybe there was some good left in this world. It's amazing what a few well-placed cords can do for someone who really needs it.
"The Breaking of the Fellowship (feat. "In Dreams") then it moves into "The Riders of Rohan" and finally "The Bridge of Khazad Dum" "The Breaking of the Fellowship" has got to be one of the best pieces of music to exist in movies. I can imagine exactly what is happening at every point when listening. Masterpiece of a soundtrack.
Wtf.... I'm like really homesick for Lotr now... This instantly makes me think of absolutely EVERYTHING. Lotr is really on an entirely different level. Just amazing.
Me. I've never heard anything more beautiful than LOTR soundtrack. Full of joy, sorrow, pride, bravery, heroic history. I cannot describe what I feel inside, when I hear it.
0:49 *"It's a dangerous business Frodo, going out your door. You step on the road, and if you don't keep your feet; there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."*
I think people are a lot like music. We're all different and when we argue with each other we sound like someone is banging the piano. But, when we work together, we sound like a masterpiece.
Frodo : I wish the ring had never come to me Gandalf : so do all who live to see such days but it is not for them to decide, all we have to decide is what to do with the time given to us.....
There are other forces at work in this world, beside those of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.
I have watched this over and over about 20 times now, everyday I come home from school, I listen to this at least 3 times. And I can't stress enough how amazed I am. This inspires me to learn this myself. So thank you so much for this contribution to youtube!
I rarely cry from media.. But God does this hit me. Read twice and watched countless times, this series reminds me of when I was younger and hopeful.. But alas, those days will come again "Sorrow is but a shadow that passes", and this series will always be special to me and SO many others. Stay strong, no matter how little, you have the power to inspire.
Watched the trilogy for the first time yesterday and when I heard this again now knowing the emotions with it, I immediately started crying. What a masterpiece this version and those movies were 👏🏻
As a father, I long for a day where I just have nothing to do for 15 hours and can just binge watch the extended versions of all the LotR movies. Some of the most iconic music ever put in a movie.
@@Leg0456 Actually,Kind sir, Dumbledore is Much more powerful than Gandalf, without a doubt, and it feels a bit weird to compare 2 different wizards form different factions.
One does not simply find words to describe how great this was! But then came the second half, and I watched on in stunned silence, awed by the level of your skill.
"Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Calling me there, I will go there And back again.

That was the best part
FORTH EORLINGAS!
Yes!
Easily the coolest race in LOTR. You just can't beat badasses on horseback who fear NO ONE.
Pippin: "I didn't think it would end this way.
Gandalf: "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one we all must take... The gray rain curtain of this world rolls back, and then you see it."
Pippin: "What, Gandalf? See what?"
Gandalf: "White shores... And beyond, the far green country under a swift sunrise."
Pippin: "Well, that isn't so bad."
Gandalf: "No, no it isn't."
Aragon: "... My friends. You bow to No One."

This piano is the best piano I've ever heard, and these songs only make it better.
Such beautiful and powerful music. Never gonna replace that track.
Time passes...but THIS will never grow out of time. What a masterpiece. I love LOTR and always will
No no, this will grow in spite of time. Things can be forgotten but they're still there.
He was letting that pain feed and drive his performance.”
The entire cast and crew threw their entire souls into these movies. If aliens gave us 10 hours to prove to them that humanity had an imagination worthy of existence in this universe, the only right course of action would be to sit them down with the Lord of the Rings, and keep the popcorn coming. And the tissues.
first have them watch the hobbit and then LOTR triliology
Heh, I literally watched that scene with a couple of friends last night, and one told me about that.
@@goodnewsmedia2629 they'd bomb the earth before they'd gotten halfway through the second hobbit film
It’s okay, I’m totally not crying. Not a single tear......
😭😭😭
Imagine if he weaved the Last Farewell into this.

"Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden!
spear shall be shaken, shield shall be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!
Death! Death! Death!
Forth Eorlingas!"
-King Théoden of Rohan, _The Return of the King_
There technically is no lotr "theme", it‘s either "In Dreams" or "Concerning Hobbits" (It‘s "In Dreams")
Or it‘s mixed because there are also parts of "Rohan" and "The dark rider"
This music gives me goosebumps everytime..

Still an AMAZING cover!! Lots of love from Nepal!
Lord of the rings recently has been an escape for me. Every time I feel stressed out or uncomfortable this story and it’s music makes me feel happy and confident
Lord of the Rings is the only trilogy that makes me BAWL my eyes out. The music is the best, the books are the best, the movies are the best, I literally die every time rewatching them. 😫😫 this is sooo good.
Wow, you trolls are really coming at me for a sloppy, quickly written comment trying to correct it. I only have one thing to say... I LITERALLY don’t care.
You literally don't know the meaning of literally. ;)
But I know what you mean anyway. :)
yeah, greatest trilogy ever made!
Between "best" and "I," there should be a period instead of a comma. The "T" in "This" should be uppercase.
@@imyourannoyingenglishteach4636 Your nickname is a sentence, therefore it should end with a dot. No teacher is allowed to perpetrate such a reprehensible mistake.

Maxime L'Enchanteur Same. Greatest Soundtrack of all time. Whats your favourite piece of music in the trilogy?
Patrik Pietschmann. Perfect choices of themes and melodies
@@PatrikPietschmann Hahahahahaha
Well, have fun with about 8 hours of the Shire!
When the Rohan theme begins It sends a shiver down my spine. It’s so heroic. The whole song is such a legend!
"Saruman believes that only great power can keep evil in check. But that is not what I find. I find it is the small things. Everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay" One of my favorite speeches of all. Thanks Gandalf
Liam Elias well aight
The beginning of this song just makes me so nostalgic. Like, I remember the happy, carefree hobbit Frodo was and how he never came to that again, after everything he suffered.
"I feel a slight tingling in my fingers.. I think it's affecting me.."
“I may not be able to carry the ring, but I can carry you” Sam.
Nice work Pat
LotR is the best movie trilogy EVER!
The movies are definitely masterpieces!
@@PatrikPietschmann The third one is definitely my favorite movie of all time!
IMO,The dark knight trilogy and LotrR trilogy are the best trilogy of all time
@@thirumoorthy6778 Yeah, the Dark Knight is the best superhero movie in my opinion, tied with Infinity War, but IMO the best movies of all time would still be the LotR, maybe not the first two, but i love the third one, others are great don't get me wrong. Just the music, characters, the universe that Tolkien/Peter Jackson created just really makes for an epic story!
@@plof9882 i also wanna mention back to the future :)
I can't even put it Into words how much this song meant to me as a child. It truly made me feel like I could do anything. That maybe there was some good left in this world. It's amazing what a few well-placed cords can do for someone who really needs it.
"The Breaking of the Fellowship (feat. "In Dreams") then it moves into "The Riders of Rohan" and finally "The Bridge of Khazad Dum"
"The Breaking of the Fellowship" has got to be one of the best pieces of music to exist in movies. I can imagine exactly what is happening at every point when listening. Masterpiece of a soundtrack.
The gondor theme is definitely in there at 2:33

I think it's the part of grace of undomiel, where gandalf rides up the leves of minas tirith.

Wtf.... I'm like really homesick for Lotr now... This instantly makes me think of absolutely EVERYTHING. Lotr is really on an entirely different level. Just amazing.

*"It's a dangerous business Frodo, going out your door. You step on the road, and if you don't keep your feet; there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."*
The fellowship theme has got to be one of my favorite pieces in the movies
I think people are a lot like music. We're all different and when we argue with each other we sound like someone is banging the piano.
But, when we work together, we sound like a masterpiece.
Thus the kindness adds to the beauty, yet the conflict adds to the nothing, as conflict will escort you no place of no mind’s living
That’s a masterpiece

"the last pages are for you sam"

One cannot simply listen to this tune without crying
first few notes and im teary eyed already
Frodo : I wish the ring had never come to me
Gandalf : so do all who live to see such days but it is not for them to decide, all we have to decide is what to do with the time given to us.....
There are other forces at work in this world, beside those of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought.
Waited a long time for this.
Was not disappointed.
That makes me happy!
Samwise: I can't carry it for you, Mr. Frodo, but I *can* carry *you* !
Sauron: Wait, but that's cheating
gandalf : you cannot pass !
YOU SHALL NOT PASS !!!!!!!!!!
balrog : okay i'd better not mess with this guy
That’s just incredible
Thanks! :-)

I rarely cry from media.. But God does this hit me. Read twice and watched countless times, this series reminds me of when I was younger and hopeful.. But alas, those days will come again "Sorrow is but a shadow that passes", and this series will always be special to me and SO many others.
