Excellent video. BTW, you do not need to find a Compact Flash card reader to download the photos from the D200. There is an older style USB/A port on the lower left side. You can just link the camera to your laptop via USB cable and download the images directly. The camera will be recognized simply as another external drive. This avoids removing and inserting the CF card, which is always a good idea, since it is easy to bend one of those little pins inside the camera, making it impossible to reinsert the card. I trust you enjoy using your D200 as much as I enjoy mine, which I have had since 2010, along with my D700.
Thanks for that tip. I will try it the next time
getting close to 1,000 subs...you will get there quick
Almost Woody. Just another month and I should make it.
Thank you Ron for your clarity of instruction. Really appreciate how you convey the process to those unfamiliar with the programs.
Your welcome. Glad it was helpful to you.
I'm currently learning how to use lightroom. Your videos are very helpful. Great photos Ron.
Thank you. Hope things go well with your Lightroom journey.
Hmmm I got my first digital SLR a Fuji Finepix S1 Pro in 2000 too and CF cards weren’t even available in the UK. We had to use a card called a MicroDrive that was made by IBM and although it looked like a CF card it had a spinning disk inside! My first 1GB card was £430
Great
Hey Ron! I really like these videos You do using ‘older equipment.’ There is something visceral, a feeling of nostalgia if You will, when shooting with an older camera/ lens, etc.
You really know your way around the editing process, and I liked the outcome of final product. Not sure about some of the editing, but it is a subjective process. Remember to allow for printing when cropping! I preselect the size so I don't mess up. Of course I don’t know if You had intentions on printing this out. I think it would make for a nice print. I am curious your choice of ISO 400, when shooting on a tripod in decent light?
You mentioned 2024, and that reminded me to remind all those out there, to update your ‘Copyright’ Info with the current Year! Easy to do on Nikon, and other modern cameras.
1,000 is coming Ron! You’ll get there! Take care and stay safe and Happy Shooting! 👍📷🇺🇸
Thank you George.
@@rdphoto2 You're Welcome!
Great video Ron! Some insightful tips! I love my d200, it's still a fantastic camera and I really love the no frills aspect of it. Same goes for my d700. Loved the edits. Any chance you have a link to the "nick filters?" Id love to check them out.
Glad it was helpful!
if a D200 2005 camera is vintage, what makes a F3?
What CF cards are you using in this? Does it have any issues with the newer faster cards with capacity of 32GB? it is extremely hard to find smaller CF cards these days.
The CF Cards I use are older models. I have 1, 2 and 4GB Cards. I have never tried with anything larger.
I use a 32 GB CF card on a D200 and a 64GB card on a D700. Just ensure you are using the latest firmware. Each camera model will have its own maximum.
