i watch many videos on my tv so i cant hit a like button, not everyone uses a laptop or phone some of us watch on other devices that are not capable or even convenient to hit the like button. so that's probably a huge reason why some dont its certainly a huge reason i dont.

I hit the like button for myself and the person that made the video. If I'm looking for an answer to something I don't need to watch the same video twice in most cases. If I'm on a mission to find an answer I may need to watch a bucket full of videos so by hitting the like (or dislike) button it helps them out and it helps me out because I can see I've already watched that video. I have a close circle of friends that I share tons of videos with.

What bothers me about the battery is the gauge. One minute it says full battery the next minute it’s flashing red and the next minute it’s back to full then it’ll go to medium then it goes back to full then it will flash red. I like to change my batteries when they turn red and not let them run completely out, but the Z 50 turns red before it is really at the red level. Drives me crazy lol The one nice thing about the 16 to 50 is it is tiny. Probably less than a third the size of the 14-30. But as you have demonstrated the 14-30 works great on the Z50.

Heather made an amazing landscape photo with my old D7100. One of my favorites of mine was with that camera too. I bought it on Amazon Cyber Monday sale for something like $850 brand new. Great camera with the right battery and lots of resolution for it's day, more than D7500 D500 Z50 D7000. Tons of noise above 1600 ISO and no tilt screen are really my only gripes with that camera. I agree, sometimes or even often shooting alone is the best way. If one person wants to stay and another wants to move on, that doesn't work well. I'll be interested to see how your Z50 infrared conversion goes. Maybe if Nikon ever makes Z90 / Z70 I'll convert my Z50 too. I was going to disagree about shooting at high frame rates but then I remembered that I have not used my Z8 above 8FPS in several outings even for birds in flight. I'm sure when Heather and I go to Florida in March I'll bump it up to 20 FPS to give myself the best chance to get the perfect wing position of the in flight Spoonbills we are after. Sorry I missed you that day.

I hit like when I like something. This video wound up in my recs, and I don't even like photography but I gave it a shot anyway, all the way to the end. I've found that courtesy Likes only get me more of the same in my recs, so I don't do it when I don't like. Great advice! I found you by Tim Childress sharing about your photography channel on his photography channel a few months ago. To me YT is like visiting and supporting small hometown stores vs big box retailers. I am watching and supporting real people with real stories to tell across the country and world. The other piece is documenting our lives. If YT would have been around before my dad passed I would have so many more video memories and treasures of him!

I for a time used Sony and Fuji in search of the Mirrorless Magic, today I am back to Nikon with a Z8 and 400 f4.5. for many years my main lens was the 300 f2.8 with TC 1.4 and 2.0 I love this lens and used it on many different D cameras. I discovered the true magic on of this lens on the D500. the FOV 450 f2.8 and adding the 1.4 630 f4 lens. with the current price of a very good D500 I just bought one to use with my Z8. I also got the 500 pf and 300 pf. Make no mistake, the Z8 is a fantastic camera and the 400 f4.5 is not only very sharp and fast focusing and at 1.25 kg one amazing light lens. I now have a problem. I find myself using the D500 and 500 pf all the time for birds. The Z8 is used now and again when I travel here in Africa and photograph the animals where the 400 mm range for me is a sweet spot. Problem is that I can nou buy a D850 with a 300 f2.8 or even the 300 f4 pf for less than a new Nikon Z6iii. for my photography I can now buy amazing DSLR kit and fantastic lenses at a fraction of the Z series prices.

I hit the button. You can also say that we like seeing the number of likes go up, even if it's just a little bit of vanity. I work from home and I will queue several videos and let them play as I'm working. I don't get to pay nearly as close attention as I would like, and I also therefore forget to hit the like button at times. I always hate it when it goes to the next video before I had a chance to like it. On some, I do absolutely make the point of hitting pause so that I can like and comment. Just trying to be a part of the community, figure it will come back around eventually. I do say though, I am much more likely to like a video that has no or very few likes already. If the likes are already in the thousands, do they really need me?

The first thing I do is hit the like button on channels I know I like, such as you and David..Why not hit the button to help people out that you like? Good job on turning off the Cable Tv...If I want to watch something it's online and I spend a lot of time on Ham Radio, if I could get the wife off the Lifetime movies I would shut it off right now..lol

I don’t always like or subscribe to every video I watch. The problem for me is there are people putting out content on subject matter they have no clue about. Just to make a buck. Most of the photographers I watch are in or around Chattanooga. You, Phil, Tim. I know you guys are putting out good content about things that interest me. Keep up the good work.

When I first started to watch You Tube, I didn't know the creators were getting monetized for them. Now that I have retired and spend time watching a few of you guys on You Tube in the morning while the coffee is starting to flow thru my veins, I have learned how important it is to hit the like button. I also subscribe to a bunch of creators but might not sit down until we get a rainy day and then binge watch some that I need to pay extra attention too...like Medicare supplement choices.

I’ve just bought a second D200 and a D300. They’re just as good today as they were back in 2006 and they were great then. Anyway, no need for a card reader as you can still plug the cameras in via USB…
