I love the tier dress too. I actually love all your makes. Even the red top that was too wide for your frame was well constructed and it looked pretty.
WOW WOw WOW, 11 makes, you had an incredibly productive month, such beautiful makes as well. The Eve dress was phenomenal! and that new two piece set with the wrap top is perfection, the tie dye makes it cool, playful and fun!
I loved the denim skirt with the wrap top a lot! That style would work for me too! And I really like the wrap tied in the front, that was my favorite style option. Oh my goodness, those Linen pants! They are gorgeous on you and the fit is perfection! That’s something I really need for this upcoming Summer season! I love all your makes! Thanks so much for sharing!
All your makes are beautiful! Would love to see a demonstration of using the L ruler. I always struggle with fitting pants as I’m sure others do as well. Thank you for sharing all your lovely garments. I really enjoy your videos!!
I have followed your channel since FrugalFrocks22 and am binging all of your videos this weekend! Love your delivery and style along with fabric/pattern pairings!!
As I was watching your clip about the Adrienne Blouse, I was thinking about how I should get better about writing down my thoughts about my makes and the adjustments I've made, etc. I think it's beneficial to make the "fails" when it teaches you something about your own personal style and what doesn't work for your body. I can't believe how much you get done in a month. Wow. Thanks for the video!
I think the wrap top looks great tucked in! What about layering a close-fitting turtleneck under the Adrienne blouse in Winter? Fab makes, as always! Congrats on the well-fitting pants! 💗
I love your April wardrobe! Such a beautiful wardrobe! That tie dye denim set is so cute! Love it!!! Yes, you are correct in that the rayon jersey lyocell fabric from Joann isn't top quailty. I had issues with peeling as well. I've your Adrienne Blouse! So cute! Excellent work and review!
Thank you for sharing your tips on grading your pants. I have a similar shape and can’t wait to try that on the next pair of pants or shorts that I make!
The wrap top looks great on you with the denim skirt. Very chic. And the shirt is perfect. You have perfected fit. Btw, I never use the neck band pattern for knits. The weight and stretch of the fabric determines width and length.
Fantastic fit on your last pair of pants! When making white pants you may want to consider using a skin tone fabric for the pockets, it works wonders. You have done a great job on all your makes. Have you tried Sinclair patterns? They design for petite, regular and tall.
Wow - you were super productive this month! ALL of your makes are beautiful. I can't decide which is my favorite. Of course, I love the tie-dyed denim - I used the same fabric for a Bellbird top last year. Both of those wrap tops are super flattering on you. I like that mini dress, especially once you added the waist ties. I love the print on that workout top. You mentioned something about the fabric - what is your favorite knit fabric to use for regular tee shirts?? Do you think the white pants would still be "scandalous" if you dyed them? I know you wanted white pants, but if you can't wear those - then you need to make a different pair anyway. I say DYE them! 😊 🌈 That's so exciting that you made a perfect fit pant! How satisfying. They do look really good!
stylemaker has a cotton/modal blend that's my favorite for basic everyday t-shirts. easy to sew and has a nice balance of structure from the cotton and drape from the modal. plus it's breathable. only downside is it's rather expensive but i tend to stock up when they have sales. i think a pair of bright tie-dye pants sounds fabulous! i will send mine off to you to work your magic immediately. 🤣
Yay! You figured out your perfect pants! I made a block out of my own curve, once I had figured it out, and lay it on top of every other single pair of pants I make. It’s pretty handy. Yes, it works to do that. Love your Eve. It’s beautiful.
The fit on Tula looks great! if you end up filming it as an in depth review, I'd be interested to see how you made your adjustments: your l-shaped ruler markings against the original pattern; and the grading lines through the thigh.
i made a second pair already so look for my community tab poll later in May and you can vote that you want to see a full review on it. thanks for watching!
Such a good month for you! I absolutely love the matching set (I've probably said that on another video/IG). The fabric is incredibly cool. I think I prefer the wrap in the front, but it's great how versatile it is. Great job on the pants! It is like opening a door into a whole new world of sewing!
I’ve been struggling with fitting the crotch seam of my first me-made jeans for a couple of weeks. I just tried the L ruler idea, and what I finally ended up with after countless re-sews of various muslins (basically using generous seams, and a chain stitch that I kept undoing) matched the first pass. HUH. Mind you, because of waistband + back yoke, there’s still layers of complications with jeans that you don’t have with more simple trousers. But I think I’d easily shaved off at least 2 muslins starting from the L ruler guidelines. Thanks for this idea. And, yes - those Tulas look great on you. Really wonderful. Also, interestingly, because I’m a quite curvy petite, I think your review of the Adrienne blouse has ironically convinced me to give it a try because in the torso I have the opposite alterations (except for shortening) as you. I think that blouse could suit me. My version of this blouse is the current boxy cropped T that is everywhere and looks great on everyone else. So thanks so much for your great review of it.
Idea for your white pants…what if you used them as a swimsuit “coverup”? The sheerness of the fabric would not be such an issue, since swimsuit fabric is often seen through RtW coverups.
Thank you so much for your take and review of the Tula pants! We have very different body types, but very similar pants needs!!😹 Can’t wait to try this pattern 💛
Hey, I just found your channel. I looked for an introduction video but didn’t find one (maybe I missed it). I’m always curious about how someone started sewing and how long they’ve been sewing. I’m curious about other aspects of sewists lives too (like you mentioned Mother’s Day (alluding to kids?), husband, work clothes) but I’ll gracefully accept that those things are none of my business - lol.
I love the fit on the second shirt and the fabric is gorgeous.
I love the tier dress too. I actually love all your makes. Even the red top that was too wide for your frame was well constructed and it looked pretty.

Thanks, Fatmata! i was really pleased with all of my April makes too.

You are a beautiful seamstress. I learn so much from you. Also love your styling!
Thank you so much. it means a lot to me!
Very interesting video, lovely vlog and makes, thank you for taking the time to share.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to see how you use the L shaped ruler on a pattern piece. A little tutorial perhaps? Great video - thanks!
I don't have time to do it this month but I will add it to my list of video ideas. thanks for watching!
I love the haircut....so pretty! 😍
Thank you!!

thanks, Andra! my best friend has volunteered to take the Adrienne off my hands so i am happy to send it to her as i know she will wear it well. :-)
1st time to your channel. Love your work.
thanks so much for watching!

it's really too bad about joann b/c they have some cute prints. thanks so much for watching, Tea!

Hi just found you loved watching your makes, see you soon Susan Peach.
thanks so much for watching!

yes, i knew better about the neckband but i was being lazy. i'll remember next time...probably. 😹

Seeing how you used your L shaped ruler to grade would be very helpful.
thanks for the suggestion! i will keep it in mind.

thanks! i definitely think April was one of my better months in a long time.

i'm glad i could inspire you! i do think the Adrienne looks lovely on almost every body...just not mine.
Idea for your white pants…what if you used them as a swimsuit “coverup”? The sheerness of the fabric would not be such an issue, since swimsuit fabric is often seen through RtW coverups.
thanks, it's a great idea! unfortunately i don't go swimming enough to need a coverup very often but i will keep it in mind.
Thank you so much for your take and review of the Tula pants! We have very different body types, but very similar pants needs!!😹 Can’t wait to try this pattern 💛
Glad it was helpful! i think it's a really great pattern.

i think i mentioned the #sewmaxiformothersday challenge on IG, but not anything about Mother's Day itself. i do not have kids. thanks for watching!
