Fellsilent were massively underrated and were pioneers of the genre IMO
These guys were so far ahead of their time, and the tracks still stand up extremely well in 2024. Great to John do a playthrough of this song updated for the modern era!!!

Im so glad i found someone who is keeping Fellsilent alive in some way. They are so long forgotten by many now and it's really unfortunate because this band could have went places if they didn't break up after one album. The Hidden Words is such a underrated album. Ill never get sick of it.

I remember binging this album when I was away with the Navy in 2010. Its still beautiful and still really current where it was so far ahead of its time.

This band clearly inspired the sound of Veil of maya, the human abstract, between the buried & me, entheos, car bomb, gos forbid, the Tony tap dance extravaganza and literally so many more. Great band doesn't do it justice.
Uhhhh, what? A majority of those bands existed before Fellsilent was a thing. I’d be more inclined to name Sikth as more of a main influence, especially with this band in particular.

Great song writing in fell silent, but I could never got on with the vocals. I like pretty much all metal but for some reason this just didn’t work for me.
