10 impossible guitar riffs III

- In this video, we'll be showcasing 10 of the most difficult guitar riffs that will leave you in awe. These riffs are not only extremely difficult to play, but also push the boundaries of what's possible on the guitar.
This video is a playthrough of my audio recordings to offer a good sound quality for the very high youtube standards. However, I still play it exactly as I would while recording, which takes a lot of tries (around 73 tries for titan), to offer performance as good as I possibly can.
My records are still pretty raw though! I sometimes make them in 1-4 sections to adjust my input volume when the riff change from high to low strings to make sure my DI is not clipping.
In my personal opinion, these riffs are insanely difficult to play and impossible is just a way of talking by the way!🤓
This is part 3 of a series of impossible guitar riffs videos.
A lot of effort is into that video ( 1 year and a half of practice) so I hope you will enjoy it!

The number 1 is phone audio so it's interesting to see how these impossible riffs sound in real life and what is possible to do!
I added « time to learn » to show the world that guitar is not easy, even for guitarists like me!

@@tankred_pancreas Humm probably a mix of polyphia/animals as leaders and dream theater
You’d definitely make some great music if you can play stuff like thid
@@hubertdrapeau should be interesting! I want to learn the main riff from the woven web because of you. Its going to be hard but I saw you put so much time/effort to learn all these riff so i’m motivated to do the same :)
@@Pablo-cv2yx thanks you🖤
My dude is DEDICATED to practice a JR song for two years and take 75 takes of it. Well done bruh
Still trying to figure out how I did that to be honest. Actually, how I did that, AGAIN… I might be an alien lol
@@hubertdrapeau Either that, or God was tired of hearing you practice over and over again lmao
Nice playing but JR is hard to cover, But that is really the only difficult one on here also
@@rafahellorsato This kind of guitar playing takes lot more than just practice.. God has something to do with this UNDERATED thing ‘TALENT’ musical Inheritance. Guitarist used to practice Guns N’ Roses songs ‘slosh’. But let’s face it by today’s standards ‘slosh’ is intermediate guitarist. And any average joe can achieve Slash’s entire discography if he practices. Compare those songs to modern guitarist like Polyphia. A guy with who can play any classic rock music will struggle with polyphia’s guitar playing because he hasn’t required tech skills. In the same way ‘guitarist slash’ he is limited as flat picker. LMAO!
@@hubertdrapeau not an alien, just a really passionate and dedicated musician sir :) Congratz for your hard work !
I Lost the count of How many times I rewatched the two previous ones
This one is 10 times more insane.. I can’t really do more to be honest ahahah
Mine maybe 30++😂
@@GGop171 Most views right now come from people rewatching them, I can see in the analytics ahahahahah
Same here
jason being 1st in part 1 and 2 and 2nd in part 3 is crazy
Jason is a beast lol
i like how genuinely happy he is. not only he is actually able to play THAT, but also he's enjoying it and i love to see that. really wholesome.
tracklist:
0:19 monuments - i, the creator
0:58 intervals - lock & key
1:25 vitalism - pagan
2:05 spawn of possession - deus avertat
2:31 inferi - destroyer
2:55 protest the hero - caravan
5:10 archspire - golden mouth of ruin
5:47 the helix nebula - crystal plains
6:31 jason richardson - titan
7:19 unprocessed - dead rose
🐒
Thank you!
Titan still remains one of the most accurate names for an instrumental song
Tendinitis too haha
Yeah right! Very intimidating song…
@@tankred_pancreas ho yeah… definetely ahahahaha
It is crazy. I remember watching you during the lockdown. Your progression is impressive.
Thank you man, learning all these songs make you improve quite a lot
I can only imagine what these songs are going to be. All I know is that my mind is going to be blown away once again.
You commented before you watched the vid?
Bro all of these guitarists I fucking love, Also those last 2 were absolutely fucking insane, The fact Jason and Manuel can not only play those riffs but write them too is unbelievable, Great video!
Yeah right, now that I will start to write, I see how absolotely brilliant all these guitarists are, Tim Henson in particular is quite a genius.
@@hubertdrapeau His composition style is actually very simple, I could teach if you want. Maybe we could collaborate on a song together? :)
@@jamesstentno
I mean in terms of the writing method, obviously they are talented song writers. I just mean the method is very simple.@@munt368
absolute stunning man. this level of dedication is enormous and i can't express how much fun it is to see you enjoying yourself while learning impossible stuff like the jason riffs and dead rose. you are a huge motivation for me, keep it going dude! love
Damn bruh, I tried to learn one unprocessed song and had to take my guitar in for repairs. Turns out I was the one broken 😅
Ahah same here lol
Glad to see archspire make it onto one of these videos! Those guys are absolutely insane. Great playing as well, some of those other riffs are crazyyy difficult 🔥🔥🔥
🙏🙏
And when the world needed him most...
Spawn of Possession have absolutely insane, skitzo sounding riffs
Great to have you again! When happiness meets dedication mixed with stubbornness...
Ahah!
You're back, I still love your stuff. I've been watching you since I started guitar, 2 years later i've improved more far than I thought and you're one of my inspirations. I love you put some niche technical songs, I hope to see CHON or Necrophagist soon here :D
Yoooo so glad to hear that man! Add me on Instagram, would be glad to hear you play!
@@hubertdrapeau i'm newbornsuns, by some reason I can't comment at all in yt so sorry if I mentioned before this comment
That Smile at the End of every Clip ❤
Very good Job, bro!
Keep it going!
Absolutely love seeing Protest the Hero on here, one of my favorite bands too! I'd love to see a hardest riff video just for them!
That could be an idea!!
The sheer dedication in this video, it's insane! Truly a work of art, respect, my man!
thank you mister!!
Hell yeah! I was hoping for an Incurso riff. Favourite album
🥸
I always come to these videos for motivation tbh
@@skyleranderson1984 that fed my heart
Ayy I knew Archspire would be on here, Can't wait to see the rest.
sooooo glad to see archspire here. great job on a bunch of insane songs
Dean is my daddy
props for the Spawn of Possession! still a untouchable band by miles.
The Lock and Key cover was pretty perfect (I'm sure the others were too, but it was the only song I know). Would love to see more Intervals covers. You're an awesome guitarist
Thank you so much dude!!!
J'attent ca avec impatience!! Beast mode!!!
Des mois de travail!!
That tabarnak of pure joy and disbelief lmao!
ahah! oui j'étais pu capable...
Really cool that you added a Vitalism one! By the way, to be able to play a full song of those guys it'll probably take the same effort it took for all this video lol wtf. Keep up the good work bro!!
I discovered Lock and Key by Intervals from this video. You, my friend, are doing God's work. You introduced me to something I didn't even know I'd like.
Dude, intervals are the goats!!!! Watch all the other albums too
@@hubertdrapeau Will do dude! Thanks!
2 years ago when I watched the first impossible guitar riffs I wished i could play like you. 2 years later, I still do. good video 👍
There is no secrets its just practice, I can practice 25h per day so I improve fast🦭
Christ, I never thought I'd see anyone play a JR riff besides JR at full speed. Absolutely amazing.
For your next list, maybe some Berried Alive stuff? Charles does some insane shit as well.
looked for this comment
Yeah right, I can tell you man, a lot of pain and tears….. Possible!!! Not sure if I can play Berried Alive without a killswitch tho
@@hubertdrapeau You could try the blood orange riff
@@nose16 yeahh
Crazy skill and talent. Number 1 looks absolutely impossible just as the whole list.
If there ever will be a part 4 of this, could you include Gidim - Rings of Saturn, since I believe that it earns itself a spot in a list.
So far there has only ever been a single cover on youtube of it. If you won't do another part I'd be still interested what place Gidim would place since basically the whole song looks impossible just like these riffs.
This vid is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. I remember watching the last videos. Your commitment is amazing!
I was hoping for a JR attempt and i was not disappointed. Absolutely mindblowing.
Congratz on the sponsorship! Can´t wait for the next part in 24/25 lol
Ahahah ill try to make more now that I can have a little bit of money!
I've been waiting patiently for part 3 I'm still blown away by how you managed to learn these, i was blown away by Titan and Dead Rose. Such a good video you deserve more recognition my friend, good job❤️
Thank you man!!
Lmao, even after this amount of time i still can't believe how good you are at guitar! I'm after 3 years of learning only can play some sloppy 3 string sweeps, pretty slow harmonic minor runs and tapping stuff, those riffs are just madness for me! Also i think that we almost there, next part sooooon! Good luck for you and thank you for content, you are amazing guitarist!
thank you dude! I am working hard to make some more videos!
I wanted to say something to compliment your skills, but everything I can try to say wouldn't be enough. Great job ❤
Thanks dude🙌
Wow nice to see you back again!
Thanks man!
Dude...I'm not gonna talk to you in english because nous somme tous les deux francophones,
Your face when you nailed Titan tho... Daaamn, I think that is what keeps us playing, the satisfaction of getting better and playing things that seem imposible.
The riffs are insane, you’re a maniac!
when i see your stuff im like man i kinda want to see that but also i dont want to quit, but man you are insane so amazing
dude as you can see, that's all practice, you'll get there as well!
My head hurts after even thinking of attending any of these.
the king returns
Absolunt banger ! I love that unprocessed made it to the list
I was waiting for this video
me too lol
Almost 1 year since this video, i will like to see your progress on the N#1 song !!
IVE BEEN WAITING ON THIS FOR MY WHOLE LIFE
ME TOO
FINALLY! been waiting for this
Oh shit there's a part 3! I looked you up again because I wanted to watch the involuntary doppelganger riff again, and i guess my timing was perfect
Ahah!
man this is crazy to see so many riffs from so many bands played by one man. I gotta ask how do you even get this good?
Hahahah la pratique man
Lol I learnt that deadrose riff in like 3 days and can now play it perfectly. But I'd probably need like 60 years to learn that helix nebula riff. I am far far more familiar with the polyphia and modern clean guitar style though so I guess it's just that we play different styles.
Yeah right.. The helix nebula is insane and they have harder stuff than that tbh!! Yeah I feel you, it’s nice to see how everyone is different
@@hubertdrapeau For sure yeah
@@jamesstent how difficult are the archspire and spawn of possession riffs
Brother, you are a beast! I'm paying 1 year electric guitar after 12 years of cello, cannot even imagine how much time commitment you had...
return of the king 🤲
🙂
Nasty playing man. Great job and much respect for staying dedicated to getting these crazy sections down
Thanks man🙏
Ahahah i was waiting to see if a Richardson’s riff would be in there, but what shocked me the most was le tabarnack a fin de la video.
Cheers, very impressive work
I felt that tabarnak lmao great job!
Why does this video not have as much views as the other ones in the series?
algorithm switched
Who are we kidding bro , I know you wanted to put Titan as the hardest . That would be 3 times jason made No.1 . Your insane man and it's good to see you after long . I hope the best for you in the future :).
Take a bow brother... My day is complete... I'm so out of the world now... I wish one day you and Jason working together... 🤘🤘🤘
One day🤩
@@hubertdrapeau Yes... One day man...
amazing work as always, love the inclusion of Inferi, great band
Inferi✌️✌️
Mec t'es juste un monstre ! Bravo !
Incredible, good tastes
Thank you!
Sick work!!!!
Necrophagist riffs next pls \m/
I am scared of them lol
I love these lists! Also makes me more happy with my own progress since putting the practice times reveals the work required.
Oh and manuel is definitely underrated alien.
Yeah right, that was my goal
Nasty as a previous one 2 year ago. Hope to see First Fragment riffs in future. Good luck)
spawn of possession clearly hardest band ever...very amazing
i know these are more focused on certain genres. would be fun to see you attempt some of the more atonal metal though (like pyrrhon or portal). dylan dillela is a monster guitarist and the fact he can even play the same thing twice at all is a crazy triumph of music writing.
I think a megadeth riff deserves a place up there. Poison was the cure for example, playing that continuously throughout the whole verse without messing up is quite a challenge
omg finally
you should make a video like this one but from any band
What do you mean?
@@hubertdrapeau something like, '10 impossible Periphery riffs'
@@Obamiux yeah man
I'm not able to play any of this song except Deadroses, we live in two strange world lol !

@@hubertdrapeau thanks, that is really pleasing to hear, especially from you))
happily surprised to see Inferi ! They write some Wild stuff
Great video, seriously your channel is amazing. I have a question, what do you think of dissonant death metal?
Could you make a video about the hardest riffs in that somewhat underrated genre?
Even the impossible riffs of a specific genre
Yes, possibly!
Super mon Hubert!
Merci beaucoup!
Oh my god it's here!!

Sometimes people tend to forget how hard those Unprocessed songs can be 😂
To show the world that guitar is hard even for guitarist like him. Is correct.. Knows he’s got the gift music talent.
Amazing video huberto! Good guitarist too! I enjoy to see all the work you have done since we met, hope to see more :)
Thank yoh man!
This is fucking exceptional playing man well done
C'est génial. T'es une inspiration pour moi 😉. Continues tes vidéos stp haha

@@diegoalveal3984 don’t worry, you get there quite fast
Man, lâches pas!!!
