Not to be hyperbolic, but I feel like metal historians will look back at Fellsilent as a seminal player in what has come to be the modern metal scene. Not many people know who they are, but if you listen to them you hear their influence in absolutely everything that's popular in the prog-core sphere.

I think SikTh are another super important semi forgotten about link in the chain. They have a die hard fan base the amount of people I come across who aren't aware of their influence on the whole of this scene is a little deflating.

I would love that one too. The Sleeper Must Awake alone on guitar is so beautifully brutal and groovy. I wrote a comment wanting Double Negative next but didn't realize after I wrote it, if you watch to the very end of the video, it look like John was preparing to play then next song. if you remember, track 2 was Double Negative so we'll see.

definitely a prototype. It is not clear if it is an USA custom model or if it will be released as Diamond Series. The headstock is from diamond series, but that finish speak CUSTOM very loud. So gorgeous.

This band is so heavy, math metal esque and super groovy/djenty. Great band. One of my favorite albums and bands.
