A Flashback scenery from my childhood when we were off on our nature missions outside catching sticklebacks /newts/ frogs & water boatman along the canals in Brum, on a hot summer's day with the glorious sights & sounds of nature. We didn't have any problems back then.
We would come back home with jam jars full of all sorts from our day's catch.
This is a fantastic vlog.

Wow! That was gorgeous. We bought our boat at Overwater and brought it up to Yorkshire. We didn't have time to go through Audlem locks and beyond. We will have to go back when we have a chance. Oh, and the Shroppie Fly was shut each time we visited too 😂

Beautiful Shropshire. Have just discovered your channel so am going back to the beginning and ‘binging’!! An amazing lifestyle for you both. Reminds me of “ stop the word and get off”!! We are in NZ and spent 7 years pottering around our country in our motorhome, biking and walking as we went. But how amazing what you are doing.. We lived in England back in the early 2000’s for a few years and spent all our off time enjoying all the beautiful walks, especially along tow paths - exploring England. Watching you is a lovely ‘re-visit’. Love your videos, thankyou so much for sharing all this.❤

Well ...thats how I remember the shroppie...the long quiet wooded cuttings with high arched bridges. So well engineered and dug without modern tools and computers! Such hardship by the navies and puddlers. Thank you!

I was watching an old video of yours where you talked about the problems with the bank when you don’t have a stable address & just correspond through your daughters address. My grandparents had the same problem when they decided to sell their house & live traveling with a big trailer, driving all over the USA visiting towns & camping in national parks. We handled their correspondence & just sent it to them if it was important. They could cheaply pay for a Post Office Box in the nearest town to where they were camping & get the mail there in the big envelope we put it in. You should have not bothered to tell the bank where you were, and when they mailed the paperwork for signature, your daughter could just send it on to a P.O. Box near you. Then you mail it back from where you are and if they ask about the post mark just say you “live with your daughter at the address you gave”, but you are “on holiday a lot” because you are retired and you had your mail forwarded to you. When dealing with the doctor, say the same. You are on holiday a lot but need to pick up your meds. Its none of his business that its a permanent holiday. Give the doctor the closest location of a dispensary. My mother gets hers at a local pharmacy & prescriptions can be sent to one anywhere. Prescriptions should be forward-able for local pick up or seniors couldn’t ever go on extended holiday anywhere.
Thank you for your thoughts. The doctor is much easier now as we can get registered anywhere and we did eventually get the bank to understand. We know we could lie, but we didn't see why we should. We are quite happy not to have a permanent address and this shouldn't be a problem to them.
