Hi there, thank you for your question! If your touchpad is completely unresponsive I would recommend trying to borrow a mouse from someone and then trying to follow the steps using the connected mouse.
@@kelving758with a lot of shortcuts and arrows, I disabled the recognision of external mouse's. And that did work to stop the trackpad from tripping, but I have to use it always with an external mouse. Even if I had to disable it.
Thank you very much! ❤ This way it has worked for me: plug the power cable from tracpad settings turn off force touch and haptic feedback option quit all the applications detach all usb and external devices turning on bluetooth then force shut down (holding the power button for 10 secs) wait for some time unplug and plug again the power source and it worked!!!
I now need to make room 10:15 Catalina to the Monterey. I don’t have enough space I can’t figure out how to open space without screwing up the computer again That’s how I screwed it up on the trackpad.

Everyone of these videos assumes the user just happens to have a wired mouse. Maybe they can lead with that in the first 15 seconds of the video. What at total waste of time.
Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend trying to use a mouse if possible to try troubleshoot and solve the issue of your trackpad not working.

Everyone of these videos assumes the user just happens to have a wired mouse. Maybe they can lead with that in the first 15 seconds of the video. What at total waste of time.
Some of us have one but same problem. because with an connected mouse its not working either. So yeah, its a bit of a waste of time hahaha
Did you watch the video? Try method 2 and 3. They have nothing to do with using any kind of mouse or the trackpad.
No it isn't. Try following the steps in the video. Method 2 and 3. Has nothing to do with a mouse.
you can't do any of this IF the trackpad doesn't work

You can't restart your computer by using the power button and hold a couple keys? What does that have to do with the trackpad?
