1 year later this trick worked like a charm. thanks for the big help man you saved me a lot of stress with option 3
The second approach worked for me with my iMac which is about 12 years old. Thanks!
using a macbook pro with m1 pro chip. though my issue is that the pointer doesn't change back to default arrow and gets stuck in resize-icon or text-edit-icon whenever i'm in finder and moving the mouse to the sidebar. option 2 worked for me. thanks!
Thanks for the video! Turns out, my problem was something else and shutting it off did the trick
You’re the man! Option 2 fixed it. Thank you!!!
Went with option 3 and it solved my issue. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you! The 3rd option worked for me. I'll come back to your channel for other help.
First suggestion worked like a charm. Thank you. My cursor was refusing to go into text mode or rescale mode or hyperlink mode. Infuriating issue I've never encountered before for more than a moment or two. Gladly fixed now.
Worked like a charm!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much!! I was having trouble logging into my MacBook because of this issue, which has now been rectified :)
Glad it helped!
Second one (command/option/P/R) worked for my MacBook with frozen curser that wouldn’t start up properly. Thanks!!
The first suggestion worked like magic for me, you just saved me some cash, thanks a lot 🎉❤
Thanks so much this worked out really well
> WOW < In comparison, you seem to be the real expert. The third option worked
for me. Thank-You, so much! Best-Regards, Charlie
After using what u said my home screen is not showing but it's showing some image moving across the screen while I turn on my macbook
Thanks so much!

Does this one work on MacBook Air m1
Thank you. Fixed!
Thank u soooooooo much its help and work finally 👍🏻
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much bruh this shit was driving me crazy
Thanks option 3 used
Great. It works. But bear in mind he he is saying “Command, option, P & R” not “PNR”. I initially thought it was the latter and couldn’t see how I could turn the power on while pressing all the keys. 😄
You cleared my question. Video maker never thought about giving clear wording !! He is mumbling throughout the video !!!
So, for the "&", am I just pressing the number 7?
@@abydaa9289 No. just P…..R.
@@abydaa9289 yes

You’re THE MAN!
This isn’t working for mine it brings up a screen with Macintosh and Options and the cursor is still not moving?
did you ever find out what to do?? i have the same problem
Thank you so much
Glad I could help!
No puedo :/
I found this very informative. Unfortunately, even after unplugging etc. my mouse cursor is stuck in the top left hand corner. This happened after trying to update to Big Sur. After about 20 minutes I got a message “An error occurred applying the software update”. I can’t click the ok button because the mouse is stuck! The mouse is wireless so I may have to look into that. Any ideas please?
wow. i got the same error while trying to update to Monterey. It’s also stuck in the left hand corner. I need help too
I have the same problem new computer that i can’t use
Where do you get help i been to all stops
Did you find the solution mine is at the left corner too frozen
@@ychatsala No sorry. In the end I had to take it to be sorted. And to be honest I'm not over impressed with Big Sur either! Hope you get sorted.
cursor works at login screen...after logging in...cursor freezes on desktop...help
Same happening with me..
plug in a mouse...go to Settings, go to Accessibility, unselect "Ignore built-in track pad when mouse or wireless track pad is present." This will release your cursor.
@@daveb7889 this worked for me. Thank you so much!
Thanks cuties
@@daveb7889 hey really thanks. Got scared. It worked... 👍👍👍
Just followed suggestion number 2 and it seems to be working (so far) Thank you very very much for your advice. I nearly threw my mouse out of the window
😂😂
for me it was enough to turn off external monitor for a moment, hope it helps someone
It didn't fix for me 😢
COMMAND OPTION PNR? Highly confusing & hands cannot perform this cats-cradle.
This did not work for me !!!!
Plug external mouse , go to settings open accessibility go to pointer control and unselect ( built -in trackpad) now unplug your external mouse and see the result ..good luck
@@melophile5179 unfortunately need to use the keypad to enter password which is also frozen
Set your display resolution to normal then it be work 1920×1080
Thank me later ❤
It is called a "Pointer", not cursor. Cursor is what you see on a text field, spreadsheet field.
aren't you fun at parties
@@yensvengeance Yep
Plug external mouse , go to settings open accessibility go to pointer control and unselect ( built -in trackpad) now unplug your external mouse and see the result ..good luck
You talk to much
Just shut up man
🙏🏼Thank you, the second option has worked 🫶🏽
