The important thing I think is to get out and challenge the preconceived notions of this particular type of feminist , especially as a woman yourself . That way they can not turn around and chide those such as myself for "mansplaining" so easily . But I do get firsthand just how intimidating , and even downright nasty a number of them can be .
And I'm not troubled my feminists because I'm afraid of them. I oppose them because their views are largely subjective and can't be factually or logically substantiated. I've spent the last semester with feminists telling me how to think and what I've found is that they honestly believe you can stop domestic violence by telling girls not buy pink things. They literally have to ignore both science and religion in order to maintain their points of view. They literally cannot tolerate any verbal disagreement and go out of their way to keep people who disagree with their views silent instead of engaging with them in logical conversation. By labelling their concerns "feminist" they make it seem that only women could ever care about women having equal rights, when abuse isn't a female problem; it's a human problem.
People are always shocked when I tell them I'm a girl but not a feminist. This is one of the reasons why. Thanks for making this fantastic video, Hans!

The thing that frustrates me is that, like, I'm a feminist. I believe women and men should have equal rights. That doesn't mean I agree with any of the points made in this video. Or that I'm not a Christian, I'm currently attending Bible college. The concept of Feminism is so twisted at this point, it's gone all the way over to misandry. It's frustrating, and I get annoyed looks whenever I call myself a feminist. But there are still places where women are given little to no rights. THAT'S the reason I'm a feminist.
Sounds more like you're an old school feminist when feminism was actually a good thing empowering women to make their own way and leave their abusive husbands and take the kids somewhere safe instead of fear of getting beaten daily and having to rely on a deadbeat...modern feminism doesn't empower women it just tells them all men are evil.

Funny stuff. Consider making this a series. A similar exchange with a male feminist, for example, has the potential for some excellent material. Or returning to this same feminist 20 years in the future. P.S. The female character's lines are delivered by a lovely lady who exhibits a peaceful spirit and a kind of feminine maturity even as a disembodied voice. Even when pretending to be a feminist. She's great but it's tough to believe her in that role.
I actually am a male feminist , and I would be agreeable to having an open dialogue with the man in the video for real . Also it is not really fair to straw man us as fitting some preconceived stereotype . Though with certain third wave feminists on such websites as Tumblr being so vocal , I can't say I totally blame you all for having such a negative impression .
And my stance would be that it's cringe to be promiscuous, because it's a lot of work to perpetually meet new people to sleep with, who likely aren't going to know what you like, and likely be terrible conversationalists and possibly also be dangerous or have diseases. It's honestly way easier to just find one person you get along with really well, and figure out if they're dangerous or uncomfortable with you.
The Road to Heaven is Narrow, the Road To Hell is Wide. Yes, promiscuity has always been common, and yes, lust has always been one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
I feel condemned... convicted... I already know that I'm poor, wretched, miserable, naked, and blind. But how do you stop if you feel like there's no chance that you'd ever have to be with any woman. I want to say that I was raised by raging feminists and have been taught that men are useless and obsolete, but I'm not a victim. (Cognitive dissonance? Did I just say I was victimized but I'm not a victim?) I know it's my choice every time. I know it's a sin. I'm trying to stop. When I succeed in stopping for a while, it comes back even worse. I pray to Christ for help. I can feel him working in my life (such as showing my your video) but it keeps coming back. I wish I could have a wife and family. I don't want to do it anymore. But it keeps coming back worse. I can't even repent. I must be lost forever. Thanks
Hang in there, bro! God is never surprised by our failures. Jesus took them all on himself at the cross, and that is our source of hope! Keep fighting knowing that God has not and will not toss you out of his family because of a lack of holiness performance. I wish I could tell you that that itch is scratched and perfectly satisfied if you get married. You still have to keep fighting it. John Piper teaches that we follow our desires, so we need to cultivate a stronger desire for God. I think he's right. But please don't give up, and please don't believe that God wants to kick you to the curb. If we could see in perfect view all of our sin, we would see lust as one of many that would knock us out of any chance of heaven. Jesus forgives them all, without exception. I'd like to encourage you to also keep up your hope for marriage. There are so many women out there who wish to God they would meet a real man who isn't just some irresponsible boy loser in a big body. Work on yourself to become strong, gentlemanly husband material. A godly woman would love to be cherished, protected, supported, and loved exclusively by a competent, responsible, wise, and courteous man. He doesn't have to look like Brad Pitt, he just has to be of good character. Work on being. Then find or make opportunities to meet Christian women. Thanks for sharing.
Hey brother! Continue to hang in there, God will give you not just a wife but a community to be there for you and take care of you and for you to take care of too! It's gonna be okay~
@its yaboii Christian women are still falling for bad boys whom they're convinced would be super duper Christian men if the Christian women could just get them to come to church. 🤡
Of course in this video I agree more with the Christian- but I don't necessarily like the mentality of 'men supplying and protecting women' men should be kind to women as women should be kind to men. Women aren't some strange force that are constantly put down by the opposite sex devoted to family and having children then being turned down by men who don't want children or won't take care of them or something along those lines.. They're both just people. Everyone protect each other, regardless of sex. Women should never try to take advantage of a man for his body and vise versa. I don't know- I don't want anyone to be upset about this I just don't really like the idea that men must always act as a caregiver as the only alternative to abuse. We're all just people trying to make it... I'm sorry for getting into this.
@@DaleC1980 Unfortunately they're often the ones that have been harassed or assaulted by men in the church or know someone else who has been and want that to stop. Yet they remain hopeful in Jesus' love. 💜
It would be nice if he had somehow distanced the Church he's talking about from the quiver-full types who do twist Scriptures in order to abuse or diminish women. Maybe he could take them on in a separate video?
Sometimes things just need to be said. Not qualified into oblivion. Yes there are abuses. But this is a 5 minute video making a statement. It would take much longer flesh out all of the disclaimers
@@DaleC1980 or maybe it just takes more cleverness. I'm thinking not of a lot of qualifiers but more of Chesterton's "wild truth" of orthodoxy, not veering off the road on either side, yet skillfully avoiding the dangers while charging along. It does us no good to avoid the sheer cliff on one side by running off the sheer cliff on the other. Maybe I'm jaded, but this would've been more realistic back in the late 80's and early 90's. Now, not so sure. . . possibly it's my age and perspective.
Well done! I'm a lady who agrees with your message. At about 2:55 though you seem to be implying that the way of salvation is sexual purity ... I don't think the threat of hell is what inspires righteous conduct or free and grateful faith. ;) I know you don't think that either though, so please forgive me for pointing that out.
I don't agree with how he put it either, but, I assure you, the threat of hell definitely inspires conversion in lots of people. I'm not suggesting that you go around being all fire and brimstone, but there's a scripture that basically says that you have to tell people about hell when telling them about the gospel. The meek, you bring up grace first and the unrepentant, you point out how real hell is.
That was the part where he was talking to men. That's why he sounded like that. Because this video touched on feminism and "women's issues" he feels he has to give all those bad men out there a good scolding in order to show that he's one of the good guys. That's why the video presents Christians and feminists as being "on the same side" and why Pastor Fiene expresses disagreement and frustration with the feminist character but doesn't condemn her the way he does the faceless, nameless men who are the cause of all the problems. Pastor believes he must agree to that framework and then show how Christianity serves the interests of women better than feminism. It isn't about his views regarding salvation or the Gospel. It's just gynocentrism at work.
+Lance Brown To be fair, if you aren't warning someone that they are driving on the wrong side of the highway when you get the chance at a truckstop, you're a horrible person. I'm not afraid to say that for their sexual promiscuity, people in this country are on the wide path. No matter how you feel God works in people, he is being rejected by this country if this disgusting culture continues to exist unhindered.
Kudos to the feminist sock for not interrupting the Christian sock while talking

You do understand its satire, don't you?
Fr, we need an update to be a male feminist vs an actual woman
Don’t cede any moral ground to the world. Least of all feminism.
*that last part* but its none of my business
Bruh!! Literally laughed out loud! Dude where has this channel been all my life?! #ChickfilADidMeIn
Beautiful!
God this is amazing Hahahha this is literally me and all the Christians I know whenever we are arguing 😂😂😂
This is perfect!
This is great ^^
Jaw dropping SPOT ON
yo this is amazing
Absolutely true!
There abaolutely is a utilitarian advantage to a traditional virw of sex and marriage.
That sock puppet knows his stuff
I love wretched radio, they reccomend the best stuff :3 (like you)
That was golden.
In light of the MeToo movement, this is even more pertinent than ever!
brilliant
Word!
ELCA Lutheran, I love this channel!
Sock puppetry got my attention.
5 years old, more true today.
I'm STILL waiting for a nice Christian girl. I really don't think men are the problem
@its yaboii Christian women are still falling for bad boys whom they're convinced would be super duper Christian men if the Christian women could just get them to come to church. 🤡
Got tired of waiting. Went to the Philippines from USA to search for a wife. First lady I met in a church there is the last I need to meet.
@@markomus1 incel
@@markomus1 jk, but I’m a girl who doesn’t know any Christian boys 😭
@@waterheaterservices No lies, this is precisely my plan right now.
this was so hilarious and so true on sooooo many levels xDDDDD
Nailed it.
Too true...
Well done
I was so thrown off by the use of the food wishes intro song
Brilliant
Good gimlet gravy!
Wow, that's feminism alright.
Well, it better not be Sunday because Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays! 😆
"Good gimlet gravy" is now something I will now use in my everyday vocabulary.
Like, totally reminds me why I went to the other side of the world from the USA to seek a wife.
Real feminist believe men and women are equal. These new feminist aren’t exactly the brightest
Men and women are equal in the eyes of God. Other than that...the roles men and women serve are complementary..to say otherwise is simply dishonest.
LOL! this is great
Man... Good message on pornography.
I LOVED THIS.
So. Disclaimer: I'm a Christian feminist (yup, there are those :) ) but this was absolutely awesome!
So thank you thank you thank you!!
How do you distinguish a Christian feminist from a secular one?
@@DaleC1980 Unfortunately they're often the ones that have been harassed or assaulted by men in the church or know someone else who has been and want that to stop. Yet they remain hopeful in Jesus' love. 💜
SOOOOOOOOOOO funny! You guys are a scream!
Hans holt den Flammenwerfer.
2:37 BOOM!!!!!!!!
Nailed it XD
Ya he worded that completely wrong. Good video though
It's been over six years since this was posted. HOW DID THIS VIDEO AGE LIKE A FINE WINE TO THE POINT THAT IT'S RIDICULOUS!?
Did anyone else think they were watching a Food Wishes dot com video when the intro song played?
