I thought the whinning was bad on mine but it just how the bike is, I have a taylormade exhuast and it sounds so nice, sounds way different than any bike i've heard.
I domt have the whinning, 08' here too. I thought if you havd the whining one that means you got the batch that burns oil? I still cant tell if mine burns oil, i definitely cant smell anything of concern but i do notuce the engine smells weird like a older type bike like early 2000s type
Mine definitely doesn't smell like oil burning nor coolant, just weird I think its like that. Honda has weird smelling engines 😅 even on my 600rr 2007/08 I had back then it smelled like a older bike or something haha. But yes I am curious does yours burn oil? How to tell besides checking the dip stick which averages and never accurate lol.
@@Jason.cbr1000rr just did a deep clean on my bike, it was the chain lube/grease/gunk thats been building up for years the smell was gone when cleaned and open the front sprocket cover. some reason the bike sounds different after the deep clean
@Anonami5348 ahh ok, I converted my 08' to a 12- 2015 model, should maybe consider that it's simple and you feel like it's a brand new bike which in a sense it is haha. Same frame etc.. just need 2012+ fairing kit, head lights and the ram air plastic bits for the sides. Also if you're interested I got a ktmoto 2008-2011 cbr1000rr headlights in white you can check their website it's only the one but you can choose colors like demon eyes green etc it has blinkers aswell via drl and lighting.. I just chose the white one for a more oem+ look. It's brand new never used I can sell for cheaper than retail. Btw does yours burn oil a lot or no? I'm sure I got lucky and got the one that doesn't I did notice when I first bought it not long ago, che ked the lipstick it was new oil and on the middle line, now it's darker (normal) and I think it's low, it's stayed that level til now and is there any symptoms to tell if you've got a burning on etc.. thanks.
I have a 1998 CBR900RR just like the one in this video, and i just bought this 2009 1000RR repsol but in white. Sooooo excited

@@Jason.cbr1000rr same the bike has a strong smell, smells kinda like oil or like brake dust(mostly brake dust) i dont even know
