@Rolls Royz it’s setup where they can remove a few bolts take off the side cover and slide the transmission out of the engine. Where the rest of the bikes you have to completely disassemble the engine to work on the transmission. So with a normal setup to get to the transmission you first remove the engine from the bike, then remove the head, then remove the sleeves, then split the engine cases and there is your transmission 5/6 hours later for a good mechanic. On the Honda cassette style transmission you remove 1 cover on the side of the engine and slide the transmission out which can be done in minutes. I wish they all had this.

Any certified motorcycle dealer should have the tools to conduct a valve change if you need one. It can be a very costly procedure that can really disrupt the timing of your engine if not done correctly.
Hi and thanks for commenting! I'd honestly look for anything 2006 and newer. Honda build awesome and reliable bikes and you can't really go wrong with a CBR. Of course maintenance and upkeep will be better with the newer editions, but I think you'll be happy either way. Good luck!
I thought the sun was better behind you actually lol. Also it's cool with your shadow in the pic when you're doing a walk around like this. You can use your shadow as a presenter 🥳 great vid, thanks for the tips 👍🏻
I am in the midst of doing a valve-spacer install job on my 1999 900(928cc)RR, it was nice to hear that the ACTUAL repair cost is so high. Because this job is a BITCH!😧
You are right! Honda engines are built to last. The sound of the engine heard from the rider seat ( not the exhaust note) says the refinement. That’s a nice piece you’ve got there.
Buying my 07 CBR1000rr next week. Havent ridden in nearly a year and a half, but ive been wanting a fireblade for so long. Finally making one of my dreams come true.
The CBR was a more comfortable ride but the S1000RR's acceleration was unmatched! The biggest difference between the 2 bikes was definitely the "quickness" of the S1000RR. I loved both of those bikes though. Each had it's own quirks.
The valves only needed a slight adjustment. I was told this was rare by the mechanics, considering how old the bike was at the time of valve adjustment. Guess I was lucky!

No really need to sort valves until the bike starts showing signs that they need attention ....I asked 2 mechanics ..should I clear or shim the valves ....both said not until there's indication they need maintenance....
Fantastic review and the bike looks amazing ! Just bought a 2009 model HRC colours 10,000 miles. I hope you still have it. I had new tyres and big service.
Not much at all! The mechanics were actaully impressed how little adjustment the vavles needed for a bike with that many miles. They said it varies from bike to bike.

I just got one after I trade my trans am it is a 2006 and I’m scared shitless to ride it so far I’ve only managed to turn it on and wow over the noise but no go yet for me nuts still in stomach from rpm noise
Haole on Oahu that rides a CBR… what branch of service you in??
I love that the cbr has the cassette style transmission.
Very interesting!
Fireblade refers to the RR-R model. Not the base cbr1000rr
I just bought the same bike! Same color scheme. Got an awesome deal. Only has 13k on it
christian kenney Congrats! Take care of that sexy beast!! 😎👍
i checked my valves at 30k and they were in spec put it back together so it cost me $0
Honda power!
YES SIR!!! ALL DAY! ;)
I have a 2005 Honda CBR1000RR Repsol. Only got 2k original miles. Why so low? Life happened. I have a short vid of it on my channel taken years ago. I've always been a CBR fanboy for years. Had several other bikes for years, bought and sold all of 'em, but stayed true with this bad boy. Hey, whatever floats your boat, right? 😀 😁 😂Nice ride man..
I really enjoy hearing stories from other CBR owners. It really enforces how great and reliable these bikes are. Make sure you keep that amazing bike forever! You'll regret selling it!
@@TheDucatiPilot Not a chance brother. I already told my nephew if and when I croak and head on up the great litter up there, he can have my Repsol. This dude's about as crazy as I am with crotch rockets man. :) lol
@@allaboutricerockets4881 Great to hear! That makes me smile! ;)
I love my cbr-doble-rr 😎
DOUBLE----AHARRRRRR! :)
Today I bought this same year. 2006 1000RR with 4K miles. I’m stoked because I’m coming from the same year but a 600rr. Loved it. I’m stoked I got my hands on MINT favorite year of cbr for me in a 1000RR version 😅
Hey where do i buy valve change adjustments?
Any certified motorcycle dealer should have the tools to conduct a valve change if you need one. It can be a very costly procedure that can really disrupt the timing of your engine if not done correctly.
It does not sound like a scooter with the standard exhaust!
I bought one without watching this, will I survive
Beauty 😍
Thanks Piotrek!!! 😎
Hi, Sorry to Bother you... I'm thinking about getting a CBR1000RR.. So which Years would be Great to Look at...
Hi and thanks for commenting! I'd honestly look for anything 2006 and newer. Honda build awesome and reliable bikes and you can't really go wrong with a CBR. Of course maintenance and upkeep will be better with the newer editions, but I think you'll be happy either way. Good luck!
You're lucky to have that color scheme. You should get the Wolverine helmet also. :D
I was going to get the Wolverine helmet, but I sold the CBR earlier this year! I ride a 1299 Panigale S now.
Wuuutttt!!!????
I know!!! I miss the bike alot lol!
I thought the sun was better behind you actually lol. Also it's cool with your shadow in the pic when you're doing a walk around like this. You can use your shadow as a presenter 🥳 great vid, thanks for the tips 👍🏻
Cant find a 07 for nothing i currently have an 01 f4i and i love it
The f4i is an amazing bike! Hope you can find an 07 soon my friend!
@@TheDucatiPilot im still looking! Lol
@@chrisjohnson5979 Good Luck!!!
@@chrisjohnson5979 ive been wanting to pick up a f4i sooo bad, think it would be a better bike for the road then the RR.
The problem with the f4i is finding one in good condition. Good luck!
Im gonna get a 04 cbr1000rr for 3k
Did you use to upload on live video.com?
Nope. Never even heard of it.
JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU AND HE DIED FOR OUR SINS.
Take my money! hahaha
Hahaha! Honda already took mine Keith!
good video just found it. yes im a few years late to the game. I love your shadow in this - you look about 14 foot tall.
Thanks brother! Haha, never noticed that shadow! 😂👍
I am in the midst of doing a valve-spacer install job on my 1999 900(928cc)RR, it was nice to hear that the ACTUAL repair cost is so high. Because this job is a BITCH!😧
I wish you the best of luck man!! A valve adjustment is no joke! Ride safe my Friend!
The 07 has a black swingarm.
Have an 05 not going nowhere
Keep that baby forever!!! The CBRs are definitely built to last!
Nice bike 😍
Thank you Vitor!!! :)
Too late, already got one
You are right! Honda engines are built to last. The sound of the engine heard from the rider seat ( not the exhaust note) says the refinement. That’s a nice piece you’ve got there.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Buying my 07 CBR1000rr next week. Havent ridden in nearly a year and a half, but ive been wanting a fireblade for so long. Finally making one of my dreams come true.
That’s awesome to hear man! Congrats!!
Enjoy and ride safe!
Almost got that one, but I purchased a 08cbr1000rr, black silver with 4000 miles. Love it. Love the color.
That's my second favorite color on a CBR! Enjoy that BEAST!!!
How does it compare against the s1000rr?
The CBR was a more comfortable ride but the S1000RR's acceleration was unmatched! The biggest difference between the 2 bikes was definitely the "quickness" of the S1000RR. I loved both of those bikes though. Each had it's own quirks.
I own one identical
SWEET!!!! never sell her!!!
It’s a steering damper.... NOT dampener.
Thanks for the correction! ;)
FirebladePilot No problem. I can’t help but correct people on the term when I see it. It actually happens more often than not.
@@Image-X Cheers mate! :)
Thanks Karen
hi did you change the vales ore did you adjust them ?
The valves only needed a slight adjustment. I was told this was rare by the mechanics, considering how old the bike was at the time of valve adjustment. Guess I was lucky!
how many kilometre can run in 1 litre petrol this bike???
Not sure about kilometres, but I get about 110 miles on a full tank.
should be title as bike review
I just got a CBR1000RR 1 owner immaculate 2006 love the bike so nice not to have all the electronics just a RAW bike.
Congrats my man! Ride safe and keep that baby looking good!
FirebladePilot thank you bro.
Nice review
Thanks Alton! I really appreciate the feedback.
A Ducati guy is qualified to talk about Honda ?
I owned this Honda for 3 years, BEFORE I purchased a Ducati.
Cbr1000rr are nice bikes😊
Yes Sir! I miss mine!!
Hello sir ,
I have also a cbr 1000rr
I have a problem with it when im driving for an example trafficl ligt the engine fals of
When I’m in neutral and i want it to gear it also fals off
Do you know maybe what this could be?
Thank you
HOT❤❤❤❤
Old bikers would have done all that work themselves...
Adjusting values is no big deal..removing the fairing
Is nothing....
You ain't no petrol head
If ya don't get your hands dirty....
hey, nice bumping in here, I had this same 2007 Honda and same 2006 for parts and a 2010 S1000RR and 2009R1, had issues with my S1000RR sold the R1 and 2007 CBr and bought a 2011 S1000RR but kinda missing my 2007 Honda so trying build the 2006 Fireblade back
all bikes I've owned were just an engine on a frame. none had abs, trac control, anything. I love knowing that no electronics are getting in your way and it's just you and the bike.
I am almost done with my 2004. I do everything by my self so it takes time, but I enjoy 😊 . It’s flat black with gold stickers..Before this one I had a old Ninja 600cc from 98..The Cbr is a real smooth ride. I just love it 😍 Ride save everybody.. Have a nice summer 🤘😬
Awesome to hear Brian! Black and gold would look badass! I miss owning my CBR. It was smooth as butter. Take care and ride safe man!
Thank you. I realy hope to get done this week. I am waiting on the guy that paints the bike. 😂 they always go bla bla bla next Monday..ahh Tuesday..ahh Wednesday 🙄... But wtf he makes his job and it’s not to crazy price so I have to wait for it 😬 I made my zx6r also complete rebuild. You can se it under my profile. It came out realy nice I think. I was ready to ride this summer but a guy wanted to buy it when it was done 🤦♂️ so I haven’t been riding for 3 month. So I realy want to gooooo 😍
I just checked out your zx6r. That was a pretty dope bike! I think you'll love the CBR even more though. It sucks that you have been patiently waiting and haven't ridden for 3 months. It will all be worth it once you twist the throttle on your awesome looking CBR. Cheers!
Tomorrow I get my stuff from the painter 🙈....😁...Yaaaaay !
@@brianbak6405 Hellz YEAH! Hope it turns out like a Champ! I'm happy for ya man!
I have a 2006 as well (red with black). Anyways you were talking about the color just wanted to point out the song Used - Blue and Yellow for yours 😀
The Honda CBR 1000RR SP is the Fireblade. The SP means there have been around $3400 in upgrades done to the bike. I own a 2015 Fireblade!
Just bought 2005 model with 1200 + miles on clock. Not even rode it yet lol - any advise?
How much adjustment did the valves need?
Not much at all! The mechanics were actaully impressed how little adjustment the vavles needed for a bike with that many miles. They said it varies from bike to bike.
Nice Honda Wolverine RR🤌🏿🤌🏿🤌🏿 Can't wait to ride my 07 Repsol.
Started riding a year ago on a CBR919RR. Still alive and love my bike
Good stuff! That 919 was a Beast back in the day. Ride safe my Friend!
Still alive?
Idk how many times he said double r…. Raw… and a few things you should know. Should do a counter
I love my 2006 cbr 1000rr still fast enough for me 😂👏🏻👏🏻👍
