@@91TwinTurboZX theres another cool way to mount the ram ball. If you get a couple of 2“ bolts to fit through the aluminium peg feeler posts, you can make a very neat platform between the ignition and the HESD. Here's a pic ibb.co/xjsdN2k

Sounds like a great deal. Just be cautious that low miles doesn't necessarily mean it's a good condition bike. I got my 2006 CBR 1000RR out of the box, as they hadn't had a chance to put it together to put on the floor yet. When I went in to the shop, which by the way was in Honolulu, I was getting something for my RC51. Then, the row of this bike caught my eye, and I was blown away. Anyone looking to get one of these should try for the 2006-07 rather than the '04-'05, as I wouldn't have grabbed the '06 if it was still the '04-'05 model. IMO, this is still the best CBR they've made, though the '21 SP1 looks like they may have finally topped it. This bike is only 388 lbs dry and can be thrown around in curves like it's a little 600. I had a choice of all the color schemes for this bike and almost got the (LA Rams) color scheme, but the black and red just looked mean, so I grabbed it despite having to wait a few days for them to take it out of the box. The bike is bullet proof, as it has had to sit twice for 2 years or longer, and had no problems starting right back up and ready to go with only a change of battery after a 3.5 year rest, and a change of fluids both times. This is the closest thing to the best bike ever, which was the RC 211V, but they stopped making it in '08, because the Moto GP bikes went down to 800cc, so Honda stopped making their best CBR and moved the exhaust from undertail to bottom right side, and the undertail exhaust is one of my favorite things about this bike. I also have a PC3 with Sato Racing exhaust on it, before they stopped making exhaust, which sucked, as theirs was amazing for this CBR. I took the Electronic dampner off, as people were having problems with it getting too tight at high speeds on the track, so I put a regular Ohlins dampner on mine, and there are a few other small mods, but not much as not much was needed for this beauty. Sorry for the long response, but I just recently got mine back and was happy to come across this video. I noticed you got rid of yours, which I'm surprised you did. Someone will really be enjoying that bike though. Peace and safe travels!

@Rolls Royz it’s setup where they can remove a few bolts take off the side cover and slide the transmission out of the engine. Where the rest of the bikes you have to completely disassemble the engine to work on the transmission. So with a normal setup to get to the transmission you first remove the engine from the bike, then remove the head, then remove the sleeves, then split the engine cases and there is your transmission 5/6 hours later for a good mechanic. On the Honda cassette style transmission you remove 1 cover on the side of the engine and slide the transmission out which can be done in minutes. I wish they all had this.

    • @TheDucatiPilot

Any certified motorcycle dealer should have the tools to conduct a valve change if you need one. It can be a very costly procedure that can really disrupt the timing of your engine if not done correctly.

Hi and thanks for commenting! I'd honestly look for anything 2006 and newer. Honda build awesome and reliable bikes and you can't really go wrong with a CBR. Of course maintenance and upkeep will be better with the newer editions, but I think you'll be happy either way. Good luck!

The CBR was a more comfortable ride but the S1000RR's acceleration was unmatched! The biggest difference between the 2 bikes was definitely the "quickness" of the S1000RR. I loved both of those bikes though. Each had it's own quirks.
