The problem was actually the goofy max wrist sticker on the side of the bike 🤦♂️
I thought exactly the same thing. 🤣😂
I’m shocked that idiot and his friends are still alive.
@@emberducati9237 didnt they get into a huge accident with each other not to long ago? Lol almost every time that channels popped up it’s some accident or something I remember one video he out his girl on a cbr and she dropped it like 3 times.. no idea how that channel has fans

Yup
More like 40% wrist…
That's what I was thinking

lol!
Mooremafia sticker = 20hp
I remember my buddies put turbo sticker on their car trunk lid. The car was good for 30 second quarters just from the one sticker.
Maxwrist sticker = 500hp

No doubt that's why I got mine already.👍
Your channel is EASILY the best MC dyno resource out there. You go into great depth and really explain everything; well done Chris!
Glad you like them!

Customer reviews on your service would be a cool addition. I'd love to see that guy's face after he gave it a good pull.
ill make sure to bring my suit and rip it one time for yall!!!!!
you took my words- the Customer's reaction on the first ride after this would be priceless...!!
@@anthonyhudson9343 damn ant it’s cool af that this video is your bike
Not a customer review video, but here's a comparison video. 4 minutes in we did a 3rd gear pull to see the difference.
Last week I picked up the black and orange bike with a Brock's Alien Head full exhaust, and stopped by to see Chris Moore. He flashed the ECU for us and I delivered it to the customer.
While I was there, I went and bought another 2nd Gen with stock Headers and dual tips. Stock ecu as well. As you can see in the video, he was pulling away from me like a 750 vs a 600.
To say that he was satisfied would be an understatement.
I love how transparent you are with sharing everything. That is why you're the best.
💪
Another great video. You really know your tuning and explain things in simple terms. Keep up the great work. MooreMafia nation
Bike sounds beautiful after full system install
Great vid! Thanks for explaining the differences in ECUs.
I love the info I learn from your videos!!
Bike has plenty for the street....what's even better is the torque that's what you want.....
Great reliability to boot
Love the Honda, such a sick looking bike...in a few more months they're will be deals on these bad boys

Hi Bro
Another magical work from you.
Keep on doing your best.
Damn big fan you just explained that so damn easy I’ve been at other bike shops here in Cali and they confused me made it sound like Einstein was talking to me. Thanks Chris
That customer must of been so happy. He's gonna feel like he has constant nitrous forever....👍💯🔥🏁
its good to hear you say just now that you tune the bikes for the 130 mph ram air effect. I always wondered if it got too lean at 130-150 mph cause of more air pressure in the airbox V/S just setting infront of a fan . Im sold now !!!! good job man
Aeronautical studies show that a measurable pressure difference starts around 80 mph.
Makes total sense why i always smoked cbr1000s they always seemed slow and I always said to myself they cant be that slow!
Yeah the newer Fireblades got robbed of power for some reason. I have an 07 with a Guhl motors ECU flash and it commonly eats stock 08-11 fireblades. But once you get a tune on those SC59s they’re very fast machines.
I see that sticker said max wrist. With 60 hp that makes sense... that first pull was brutal the bike could barely spin the drum
That baffle in the ram air is probably to increase the pressure at the redline in top gear where the motor might be using less air than can actually being supplied by the full volume of air in non-baffled ram air, so maybe adding that piece in would reduce effective air volume total and lead to a higher air pressure at top speed that fits the amount of air that flows through that motor at redline in top gear
Horse shite it's there so the bike can pass smog and newbies are less likely to die
Makes more than enough power for my skill set. The torque makes a good road bike for corners. And damn it looks sexy.
Hardly surprising it wasn’t making big numbers. 700 miles in and that engine is still gonna be tight
THAT FIRST DYNO PULL LOLLLL, I KNEW IT WAS GONNA BE LOW BUT DAM
I think a zx250 makes more 😂🤣

An after market quick shifter gummed up the cat on my L6 GSXR 1000, causing it to stop reving past 9k (because of the unburnt fuel combusting in the cat in between shifts, apparently). I ended up chiselling the cat out, did a Woolich remap, and back to warp 1.
Hi Chris…nice channel. I was raised in Taylor’s SC…off Wade Hampton Blvd. Keep up the great work.
Are smaller displacement bikes get same throttle restrictions too ?
Chris i love your work all the way from sunny south Africa
I really love the color way on that 2017
I only live 30 min away from your shop so I will be making my way down there someday to get mine tuned.
Mines made 153 bone stock with slip on. I added air filter block off plates did the tubes and hollowed out the cat. I made 171 after that and was shitting on a zx making 192. Few beamers bone stock of course but still. So me being 145lbs soaking wet and it being the lightest bike in its class. It was hard for mufukas to take me on the highway
Yeah right u ain't fucking with them ninjas

I’m only a few minutes into the video while writing this so 🤷♂️ However I just wanted to give Honda some Love ❤️ I have been a Mechanic for 21 years (cars/bikes/aircraft) of everything I’ve worked on. I find Honda’s to be the most thoughtfully engineered product out there! I’m going to guess the little panel in the intake creates a swirling effect? Or it could be something else I’m not an engineer so idk. But I don’t think they are Dumb Dumbs. If anyone is an engineer out there or knows anything about this I’d love you thoughts on it? Again I’m not hating on anyone just wanted to give Honda some credit👍
Thought the same thing. I’m sure that Honda weighs engine longevity and smoothness of power delivery heavier than WOT max power for drag racing. I’m sure that factory engineers think we are dumb dumbs for modding their masterpieces 😂
Think maybe this guy just hates Hondas but it's his opinion I hate gsxers to each their own
Dude those torque values are crazy impressive!
It is. My Indian FTR 1200 puts down 80-ish Ft/lbs to the wheel and it feels stout.
80ish lbs of torque definitely registers good on the OL BUTT DYNO! LOL Alot people don't pay attention to what the graph is telling them. Alot of motors peak in torque a couple thousand rpm before peak hp and that's your sweet spot. that IN perfect conditions you would want to keep rpm between point A and point B to maximize your performance . and that's why you can gear that fireblade to make alot if people take there bike in to the shop thinking something's wrong lol that gapplebees sauce will drive EM CRAZY
It’s great that you fixed it through a map/exhaust, but that thing should have been taken back to the dealer and had the pipes replaced!
The cat sucks! It needs to go no matter what! Lol
Thank you for posting this video .
I'm in Australia Chris and as you probably didn't have time to explain in your info talk our ecu's are still restricted for ignition maps and top speed but thanks for showing the major differences of the USA vs European ecu's. Great stuff! Love your work!
The American ECU's are horrifically restricted compared to ghe European (well if you ignore the French ecu's up.till 2017 given their 100bhp limit), interesting to know.that the aussie ones are still fairly locked down.
Its amazing the difference in power and performance just by swapping ecu's.
Yes ours still restricted, just not as bad as there’s.
@@aus-rider with a laptop and cable there is always a way.
A LOT of the lower gear throttle stuff is to.make the thing more streetable tbh.
That first pull was awful, 🥴🥴 when you did the little work on it make a big change , you are the beast 🤙🏻🔥🔥

Great informative video 👍
My goodness 60 hp is just crazy low!!!

if the bike is slow.. you have many days on earth to enjoy.. if your bike so fast you have little days to enjoy the beauty in this universe.. cause your in hurry..so goodluck!
Who I saw that Max for a sticker let’s go
Clogged up mean he revs it up a lot and shuts it off not letting every thing burn out off it ExSpecially with only 700 miles on it surprised the valves aren't bent. If he road it hard it wouldn't be plugged sound like he just likes to show off.✌️👌👍
Solid video. I’m at 160 with cat. 6hp for $1k just isn’t worth it. But I would like to take those air restrictors out.
This morning I watched a video from another person I follow and he had his R1M flashed by someone other than I told him to flash it and it wasn't pretty. He rolled raced a Suzuki GSXR 1000 that was flashed by Chris Moore and he got flashed from the word Go. He should have took my advice and ran with it 😏 the GSXR left him behind....
Good Job.
The restrictions in the ECU and ram air tubes has to do with EPA noise restriction to get the bikes legal for street use both here and in Europe. Both countries have their own limits on what is allowable and that's why there is a difference between the US and EU bikes.
bring it on asian country no restriction
A buddy found a good amount of horsepower in velocity stacks he designed for the '17 CBR I believe, was up with the R1/GSXR in the low 180's. I was surprised. His dyno reads close to yours, 250i/winpep 8. CBRs are not slow they are just terribly restricted from factory.
Totally agree with you, hate that so many people think it's underpowered just because it's restrictions for the US ecu
Just buy the EU stacks way much cheaper
Maybe that rubber insert was to make the air more turbulent before entering the combustion chamber.....im sure there was some design intent behind it, right?
Sending my ecu today!!!
I want this same service ahaha
Great vid thx!
It only has bad reputation because US ecu is restricted af. In Asia, its totally unrestricted and its crazier than other 1000cc. Its even more nimble than the rest so coming out of the corners, we'll just blast through those R1s and S1ks like a slice of cake.
Ballistic battery! So sad that they went out of business. Loves their batteries
"Bike feels slow" **Max Wrist sticker** ah it's all coming together... My predictions are this cbr will be in a recycling bin in under a year

Think you will find the dip in power at 5500 rpm is to get them through the noise test thats been a thing in Europe for years.
Kinda funny how my 2004 CBR 1000 RR also makes 167HP RWHP and 112 NM torque with a fullsystem akrapovic, bmc airfilter, PC5 with a custom tune, PAIR delete and flapper mod.

Nice map
Cool breakdown on the ECU differences.
I own that exact bike, 2017 CBR 1000RR and it's dumb fast.
Knowing how restricted it is makes me realize what a monstrosity it would be going 100% through the whole band.
If I had to say why after owning and riding this bike, it's for safety. The huge drop at 5500 rpm especially. That's right where you can blip the throttle and it wants to come up in first gear. A lot of people would be flipping over backwards if it weren't for that fail safe in the tuning. Those people also shouldn't own liter bikes to begin with.
150 rwhp is dumb fast?
@Austin Maas my boy chris moore of moore mafia, a seasoned tuner and well known pro moto drag racer would beg to differ, go back to school son your WRONG
@Austin Maas lets see your dyno numbers you bum
@Austin Maas your delusional, there is medicine you should take for that crippling disease.
@Austin Maas hahaha lets see the dyno sheet you clown what a joke
hey man great video. i know this is an older video, but why do manufactures do this to the ETV? is it to make engine last longer?
I’m a bit late to the party but for those I don’t know the reason why is noise abatement laws in the United States. We have stricter noise laws while over in Europe they have stricter emissions laws, which is why you still see Euro 4 bikes sold brand-new in the United States
Wow I didn't know that ECU thing
Damn it!!! Good stuff. Do you have a Moore Mafia hoodie w the BLK&Red like your Gixxer 1K?
Great video! Love all the info!! Can u do another random customer with a turbo busa if they ever come in please! Just for the culture.
I actually have one in the shop now!
I wanna see it get the Moore Mafia blessing
It's got that sticker that adds power it should be strong
Some countries have power restrictions (like in France, 100HP max), in other countries you can only ride restricted bikes with a limited license or under a certain age. Maybe that was the deal with this one.
Uhhhhh
Hey I really like the show an I watch you race an much respect on the speed record do you take any bike an make them better if you do I have a vfr800r that I'm trying to bring up to it's best ability not expecting a miracle just want to take care of it an enjoy the ride

Hey man love your work. Do you guys have any recommendations for me out gear in LA to get a tune?
What kind of gains do you typically get with the Gen 2 Busa with just a slip on installed?
165-170hp is my guess. Which would basically be cams and head work on my old ass cbr.
Awesome info sending my PCM to you shortly
Sounds good!
As soon as you mentioned a cat and aftermarket is the same sentence my spidey-senses started tingling
Question: In Europe 95-RON is standard octane gas. I believe they can actually buy 98-RON as 'premium'. I wonder if they claamp down on the USA ECU because the best gas we can normally get is 93-RON and in many areas 91-RON is what is available. Plus, our gas in the US is also 10% Ethanol in many areas. Here in Arkansas many stations sell 'Ethanol-Free' gas. Whether that is true or not is the question too.
Seeing videos like this are the reason why I'm Choosing Moore as the tuner for my Hayabusa
Are you going to get the new one new 2021-2022 model...going to be interesting to see if it’s easy to tune/flash it’s new ECU
@@greatcornholio5541 no. I’m happy with my 2020..not enough differences to make me want to swap
Can you do one for a cbr600rr? You recently flashed my 2016 Ecu. I have not had chance to test it and will probably not test it till May. So, it will nice to have a feeling of what to expect. I actually tried to call different times.
Chris, whats the nominell whp on a busa from 05 and how much could u make without going for turbo, nos or big bore from a stock engine.. offcorse im counting in ecu tune ,new exhaust and a sprint filter.. im asking because i have a 05 and it doesnt impress me or scares me power wise,,i tested an same year zx10 and that one had more grunt then the busa.
The manual states that low octane fuel can clog the converter. I have that bike. abs version. The dealer put regular octane in mine which is a no no. It knocked and pinged telling me right away something was wrong. The pinging never did clear up completely. Regular unleaded! Crappy move.
is 110hp for a stock R6 good? i got 110hp stock 118.5hp when i added the exhaust and air filter still need to get a tune hoping for 125hp
and all that throttle stuff i wonder if i get 100% in Australia
If i get this Honda model since I like the way it looks will I have the same issues
Great video as always. I have question about ETV mapping you have. 100% etv at 100% will be open 100% which is 1 to 1, but 93% etv at 93% would make it 93% only and not 1to1.
I think to make it 1 to 1 you have enter 100% everywhere? I am missing something?
no
167 with a full akra, bmc, pair blocks and ecu flash is pitiful. those 17 are slower than the older models for sure. i expected 180 at least.
Hondas great but man so slow it’s disappointing.
You guys forget the Honda is at least 15lbs lighter than most of those 1000 bikes. It's not only about high horsepower numbers, it's the nimbleness of accelerating because it has great torque, turns better and stops better. In the MCN video when it first came out it was the in the Top 2 or Top 3 in every category and had best top speed numbers. Dyno numbers are not the be-all about a bike.
@@hottbaje6868 yawn, excuses.. once you swap out the stock exhaust on other 1000s you lose weight there and then there’s other few bits you can do to also drop weight... top speed numbers? I call BS lol sure it’s nimble and that’s all good and great it’s still slower than the gsxr, zx10r Bmw s1000rr etc ...

I knew a guy who spent all kinds of money to trick out his bike (power commander and such) and he rode it around town at like 25-30 mph 100% of the time. I wonder if that could cause issues with a catalytic converter?

hi I have the 1000rr sp 2018, I did the remapping and it tells me 165 hp, 100 torque, in my opinion the data is false, it cannot be like this, I have an exan exhaust, a bmc filter, and the restrictions have been removed, and it can only be it has exceeded 170 ... up to fourth gear the bike stands on one wheel, and this does not make sense if you look at the diagram. I'm thinking of having someone else check the mapping to be sure
