Not a customer review video, but here's a comparison video. 4 minutes in we did a 3rd gear pull to see the difference. Last week I picked up the black and orange bike with a Brock's Alien Head full exhaust, and stopped by to see Chris Moore. He flashed the ECU for us and I delivered it to the customer. To say that he was satisfied would be an understatement.

Bike has plenty for the street....what's even better is the torque that's what you want..... Great reliability to boot Love the Honda, such a sick looking bike...in a few more months they're will be deals on these bad boys
That baffle in the ram air is probably to increase the pressure at the redline in top gear where the motor might be using less air than can actually being supplied by the full volume of air in non-baffled ram air, so maybe adding that piece in would reduce effective air volume total and lead to a higher air pressure at top speed that fits the amount of air that flows through that motor at redline in top gear

The American ECU's are horrifically restricted compared to ghe European (well if you ignore the French ecu's up.till 2017 given their 100bhp limit), interesting to know.that the aussie ones are still fairly locked down. Its amazing the difference in power and performance just by swapping ecu's.
The restrictions in the ECU and ram air tubes has to do with EPA noise restriction to get the bikes legal for street use both here and in Europe. Both countries have their own limits on what is allowable and that's why there is a difference between the US and EU bikes.

4:00 mark: the US Government did this. Euro bikes don't come with those but because of our glorious EPA, Honda had to do that in order to meet regulations. the stock US bikes are rated for less than 170hp AT THE CRANK....ridiculous
Question: In Europe 95-RON is standard octane gas. I believe they can actually buy 98-RON as 'premium'. I wonder if they claamp down on the USA ECU because the best gas we can normally get is 93-RON and in many areas 91-RON is what is available. Plus, our gas in the US is also 10% Ethanol in many areas. Here in Arkansas many stations sell 'Ethanol-Free' gas. Whether that is true or not is the question too.
Just wondering Chris so you did removed the complete air intake part off the bike or it was only that small piece you showed that came glued to the intake..? Either way great stuff as usual sir🔥
The manual states that low octane fuel can clog the converter. I have that bike. abs version. The dealer put regular octane in mine which is a no no. It knocked and pinged telling me right away something was wrong. The pinging never did clear up completely. Regular unleaded! Crappy move.

Some countries have power restrictions (like in France, 100HP max), in other countries you can only ride restricted bikes with a limited license or under a certain age. Maybe that was the deal with this one.
Great video as always. I have question about ETV mapping you have. 100% etv at 100% will be open 100% which is 1 to 1, but 93% etv at 93% would make it 93% only and not 1to1. I think to make it 1 to 1 you have enter 100% everywhere? I am missing something?
I knew a guy who spent all kinds of money to trick out his bike (power commander and such) and he rode it around town at like 25-30 mph 100% of the time. I wonder if that could cause issues with a catalytic converter?
I know banging in a stock US ECU to a UK spec bike can have HORRIFIC affects on power. I saw it drop a GSXR1000 to sub 130. I also know it USED to be a fairly easy swap to remove the restrictions. The bastards have since linked the ECU and immobiliser on a lot of the kawi's and swapping to a UK spec immobiliser and ECU is far too much work. Which is why there is so much work being done with flashing and cracking/unlocking ecu's. I BELIEVE the agreements with the Federal government and the state of California are based on two things 1. The power to weight of the bike and 2. To ensure that the bike in Stock Trim is not capable of any more than 185mph. I know Ducati historically accomplished some of the US restrictions with gearing changes (and then fixed it at the first service) and certain of their bikes were sold as race bikes and converted to street legal by the dealer rather than restricting them further.
Damn all that but that shits still slow af... lol 160whp thats the slowest 1000cc. Good bike i used to have a 2017 model but just not on the same level engine wise as everything else. The new RRR is where its at.

The manual states that low octane fuel can clog the converter. I have that bike. abs version. The dealer put regular octane in mine which is a no no. It knocked and pinged telling me right away something was wrong. The pinging never did clear up completely. Regular unleaded! Crappy move.
Whats the black bike in bottom left corner at 2:42?
Chris i love your work all the way from sunny south Africa
so basicaly the cat plugged up from being cold from being easy for engine break in, im assuming
I really love the color way on that 2017
If the cat is clogged at 700 miles, he used 87 octane instead of Premium gasoline! 🤣🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
It's the maxwrist sticker for sure lol slap the mooremafia sticker over top of it!
YES! MW dude is probably dead.
@@daveyt4802every ride they go on someone crashes. I'm all for fun on the street but those guys are insane. Also pisses me off that every time mw crashes he posts up a gofundme .
Some countries have power restrictions (like in France, 100HP max), in other countries you can only ride restricted bikes with a limited license or under a certain age. Maybe that was the deal with this one.
Uhhhhh
Very nice work 👍
Can't you use an exacto knife and just cut the portion off?
How much would something like this cost to put your tune on?
hey man great video. i know this is an older video, but why do manufactures do this to the ETV? is it to make engine last longer?
Sending my ecu today!!!
I want this same service ahaha
WOW! You do a very good job. I may have to bring my bike to your shop for upgrades and ECU flash. Where are you located?
He’s in Taylors South Carolina his shop is called cycle specialties performance he’s a great guy and has amazing knowledge of the bike world
Ol maxy brought his bike in? Nice
It's got that sticker that adds power it should be strong
That first pull was awful, 🥴🥴 when you did the little work on it make a big change , you are the beast 🤙🏻🔥🔥
Great video as always. I have question about ETV mapping you have. 100% etv at 100% will be open 100% which is 1 to 1, but 93% etv at 93% would make it 93% only and not 1to1.
I think to make it 1 to 1 you have enter 100% everywhere? I am missing something?
no
Good Job.
Sounds legit
Damn all that but that shits still slow af... lol 160whp thats the slowest 1000cc. Good bike i used to have a 2017 model but just not on the same level engine wise as everything else. The new RRR is where its at.
If i get this Honda model since I like the way it looks will I have the same issues
Hey man love your work. Do you guys have any recommendations for me out gear in LA to get a tune?
I own a 2006 cbr1000rr dropped 2 in and stretch 6 fully drag prepped and that's a daily driver do you know what it's like to know driving down the road that no car truck or bike can touch you? That's better than any drug any man has ever created
Hi can i ask a question? Ecu 38770-MKF-GK2 GS is which country??
Important question for you!! Can I send you my ECU to get this flash. ALSO, Will this void my extended Honda warranty.
Damn it!!! Good stuff. Do you have a Moore Mafia hoodie w the BLK&Red like your Gixxer 1K?
