I can understand how Erin is feeling . I barely passed any mock tests with my instructor and I passed on my 2nd attempt with 5 minors by gods grace. For everyone out there who watched my mock with DGN driving knows how my experience was . Honestly, if I can pass then you can too . anything is possible . Good luck Erin with your test . I never passed a single mock test with my instructor but did pass my real test first time. I think instructors are generally harsher than the real examiners, because they really want you to pass when it comes to the real thing.

@@davesmith5482Same I did 4 mock tests with my instructor did not pass anyone of them. However I recently passed my driving test on my first attempt.

I can remember when the very early stages Erin was as quite as a mouse but now she has really came out of her shell thanks to a really nice instructor.
There’s no doubt in my mind Erin will be missed when she passes at some point.
I passed my test about a month ago, but I was still making some serious mistakes in the lead up to my test. Then my test was one of the smoothest and best drives I’d had. The nerves can get to you even in the lessons beforehand, on the test just slow your mind down and trust your gut, you know it all already and you can clearly drive well, just need to show the examiner that too. I get the sense that Aman is getting increasingly frustrated with Erin as she still tends to ask questions which she should already knows and lack of preparation for tell me how questions. I hope Erin does pass her practical test as she is more than ready. Good luck Erin ! 😊

Aman may or may not be frustrated with Erin. Remember that Aman need to keep a straight face during a test, so she doesn’t need to be frustrated with Erin because she has a straight face and doesn’t show any emotion..it’s a part of being an instructor

I have my first (and hopefully last) driving test coming up in 2 days... It's felt like I've been learning with Erin through the videos and I've definitely empathised with her too through a lot of her struggles 😅

Good luck to you all! I passed my test on Saturday morning with 2 minors after telling everyone I was going to fail! 😂I still can't believe I've passed but it is the best feeling ever, just keep calm throughout and remember mirrors and blinds pots ❤

Not perfect obviously but she has clearly come a long way. I know this sounds silly but when she said “my indicator” rather than “the” indicator or “your” indicator, that shows that she’s in the frame of mind to be a driver. This is a good confident sign.

My emergency stop was so sharp my examiners glasses fell down🥲🥲🥲
Same with mine, although the examiner didn't wear glasses, but had a ton of paper and pencils on his lap. When I hit the break pedal everything flew 😂😂😂😂. I said that I'm sorry for it, but he was like 'no, no, it's alright, it's okay, don't worry' as he was picking up his stuff. I wanted to laugh but I tried not to.
I have my test in 2 and bit weeks. Fingers crossed for Erin and myself lol

She seems so odd. She’ll joke about a serious thing and then when actually being told again by the instructor for her to realise she doesn’t even look remotely interested just going “uuuurrrgh yeaaahhh”

If she fails it's because of her attitude, her driving is fine, but her lackadaisical approach to driving will cause her some issues in the future.
Modern cars have an Anti-lock Braking System making it hard to skid out of control. So if you brake too hard it will actuate and prevent a skid but the car stops in a shorter distance. When it actuates the brake pedal vibrates but you still keep braking until the car stops. On a good stop the seat belts will likely lock up and need releasing.
I do feel like shes not taking anything seriously but best of luck

We've all been very supporting to Erin but looks like she is going through bit of teenage attitude problem. I mean what's was with eye rolls and basic answering to question such as tyre pressure? Anyway Goodluck to Erin! Hope she passes her test.
I just passed mine on Thursday my emergency stop made the back seats pop out my examiner was impressed lol I got 2 minors one for junction speed approach and one for observation after reversing from a forward bay park a car came up behind while I was reversing but I managed to brake in time I was so close to a serious 😊 now the real learning begins

Good luck Erin! I failed last week with 1 serious and 0 minor faults so I'm absolutely gutted but chomping at the bit to get on with my next test (sat the 4th of November, literally as soon as I could re sit it 😂)

I felt so bad when she got the serious on the emergency stop she was doing so well 😢
I didn’t. Her attitude about it was too immature! A life is at stake. Not fun and jokes to an emergency stop. She needs to grow up a bit on the road. It’s one of the most important things to be able to do on a road, or someone’s life could be seriously in danger!
@@dazjames862 yes but at the end of the day she’s still a learner, she’s come so far and learned so much I’m sure she knows that now and in a real situation like that she probably would react better. I think Erin just hides her anxiety well by playing it off like she’s unbothered, she seems like she’s really trying to me.

I think that 'Voice in Erin's head' is yours Aman! 😂 I know when Erin passes her test (which I think she will) we are all going to miss her like crazy! I just love her comments and facial expressions. I so hope she comes back as a full driving licence holder to have further mock tests with you Aman, simply for the entertainment factor it would give us all. Otherwise, she is going to be very sorely missed. I'm kind of wishing her all the best for her real test, but with pangs of regret! As a three car, zero manual household, Google was the option to get a pdf of each manual. Often the easiest way is to check the plate (if fitted) on the door frame, driver's side. Erin's answer was, realistically, the best start point.

@4:36 I've had to use my horn once for that exact same reason. I had a blind van reversing onto the main road as I was approaching. I don't know why he did not drive straight and go around the block but I guess some don't have common courtesy.

Passed earlier this week with 3 minors, luckily I didn't have the Emergency stop but its the one that catches a lot of people out, particularly checking before moving off. If I'm honest I might've failed if i had it bc I hadn't practiced it much before my test, you just have to be good at pretending to react to it like there is a kid in the road, just slamming your foot and not worrying about stalling

In my country you have to check your mirrors and your blindspots before even turning on the indicator. Even in roundabouts you have to look the blindspots with your head and simultaniously steer the car in the corner. And we never park front first, always back first. Im from Slovenia

reading the comments, two things. There are 27 vids in her play list, so about right for a slowish learner, it's just been spread over a year. Her attitude is similar to mine, but I have autism, not everything is down to being disinterested, the fact she past shows stuff was filtering in.
I sat my test and passed second try yesterday (made a silly fault first time) !! Thanks so much for all the help, very entertaining to watch too xxx

Although she can switch the lanes on roundabout, I believe it is a good practice to teach learners that it is better to go wrong than risk and that going wrong isn't a big deal. Very VERY important lesson.

Recommended tyre pressure can be found usually in your car's drivers door well. Or in a Mercedes in the petrol cap. Its easier then finding your car's manual.
Keep it up Erin. You've got used to most driving stuff now. It's just a few things on the edge here and there to wash off, hardly anything. :)

As you are no doubt aware from today (29/10/2023) the clocks have gone back an hour in the UK with night driving due around 5 pm. Any ideas when you will release any videos on night driving as it's been almost a year since I raised the request? 😊
most lessons happen daytime + night = more risk. who knows tho we might get lucky

Most cars have details of tyre sizes and pressures on a little plate which you see on the side when you open one of the front doors (usually the driver's side).
