What a lovely driver Sirha is. What a shame about those couple of serious faults, which I suspect was due to nerves. If Sirha keeps her nerve she’ll be ok on her test.
I don't think it was due to the nerves. What Amin told at the end is that road markings is a bit of an habitual fault, and both serious/dangerous faults have that in common. Nothing major, and easy to learn if you keep an eye on it, driving the next couple of lessons. The rest of the drive was really nice though! I'm pretty sure that with a couple drives this will be all right. Good luck on your test Sirha!
12:27 Is a very technical problem, you are turning right at traffic light which is green. You have to give way to oncoming traffic before completing your right turn. In this scenario you cannot see any traffic as it is obscured completely by bridge pillars. This is a unique layout as we do not have many turns like this in UK and would catch out a lot of experienced drivers. The subsequent Give Way line is incorporated with other roads controlled by traffic lights which is an unusual mix for a right turn at a traffic light controlled junction.
Sirha has the ideal attitude, I would be very happy to instruct her. She has pride in her driving, her observation at junctions is really good and for an inexperienced driver, her awareness and anticipation is excellent. Good luck Sirha and keep your great attitude. Be proud of your drive.
I passed my test yesterday thanks to these videos they helped me so much!! One tip I’d give is if you think you’ve made a mistake forget it and keep giving it your best being more aware because it will throw you off. I thought I failed at one point and just forgot it and continued, was so happy when I passed!!🎉
Her family teaches her well. This was cleaner then more that had instructors. Something i like is that after the test, she knew exactly where she failed and why at least for the dangerous one. Good road awarenesss and blind spot check with minor issues here and there. Per overall, she did really well.
She was a amazing driver even if she had done lessons with a instructor, but for her to not have done any lessons with an instructor is incredible. Obviously you intervened for that one turn which means that that could have ended up quite bad if you hadn't, but I was more worried about how close so stuck to that center line at those bits with the cars parked on the other side.
Was impressed with how well she was doing! Was such a shame about her minor fault with the bus. He was cheeky and shouldn’t of moved off like that. They never check their mirrors
Watching these videos once I drive an automatic makes me so happy i made the switch. The constant stop and start with the clutch you have to do in congested traffic is a nightmare
I just passed with 1 minor watching these videos. Aman has such a calming energy about her. I remember all instructions from the videos while on my test. Huge thank you😊
Yes, it doesn’t matter if you’re on a single carriageway, dual carriageway or a motorway, the very left most lane is the normal driving lane, all of the others lanes are for overtaking or for turning right.
I'm Dutch and planning to go to the uk and drive there. These videos help me to anticipate driving on the lift side of the road. Super useful channel, thank you!
Passed first time yesterday (in Ireland), your videos helped me so much. My favourite channel. I’ll still be watching these mock tests regardless 😁😁. Thanks Aman for all you do!!
Great videos as always Aman. I finally passed my driving test yesterday after failing once before. I have watched so many of your videos and they have been a huge help so wanted to say thank you for all your help and knowledge and I wish you all the best. To anyone with tests coming up you’ll be fine just take your time.
@16.31 I disagree - there was a scooty coming up fast opposite...if she tried to overtake a big vehicle like a bus moving off in that situation, that would have been a serious hazard imo...that minor fault was unwarranted. What she did there was the safest option. A very experienced driver could have just zoomed off perhaps. Ty for that foot position on brake tip..very valuable.
Sirha is a good driver she just needs to practice her awareness/planning and response to road signs. Regardless this is a very impressive drive/mock test - her family have been teaching her very well to this point!
just wanted to drop by and say thanks Aman for all the tips in these videos, i passed today with no minors! couldn't have done it without all of these videos :)
Some really nice bits of driving, just a couple of tweaks. The bus part I would personally put down as a serious due the motorbike coming the opposite direction. Her position was perfect and wait was perfect once she was passing and the bus indicated to pull off and she was past the rear of the bus keep going and get past. Generally the only time you don't carry on is if the front of the car has not started to go past and you can't slot straight back behind where when yiu are besides and stopped you are in no man's land with someone besides you and a vehicle coming towards. Where by keep going and clear quickly you have reduced risk but staying next to the bus have increased risk. The busy roundabout for the A4 perfect and kept herself nicely in lane. She is more than capable of passing . Maybe just a couple of lessons for planning and what to do in certain situations and she is thier
I disagree. Although ideally she should have kept going, she didn't close the door on the motorcycle or cause the rider to change speed or direction. In fact I probably wouldn't even have given a minor, the bus moved of while she was overtaking and she dealt with it safely. Of more concern and more worthy of a minor, was her right hand signal when she 1st closed up behind the bus. With the road opposite, her signal could have been misconstrued as an intention to turn right. Her position behind the bus was 1st class and showed her intention without using the indicators.

So already knew how to drive basically just had his best mate take him out tell him what to do . Different test to now but observation and showing you are safe would still be key
Her Driving is ABSOLUTELY ☺️ SO GOOD and at last the DISCURSION of Minor & Major FAULTS 💜was so Good. But one thing to ask that in this video a RANDOM Guy SHOUTED while She was Driving, Is there any FAULT of HER at that Point? ..🤔
No, he was shouting at the van that was trying to move off suddenly into the road which blocked his path. Hence Aman's comment about them moving off without checking their blindspot.
Well done Sirha, no professional instruction and you almost passed. You've got the makings of a good driver, I'd say get some lessons with an Instructor and polish it up ready for your test. Good Luck with your driving.
I think she did well learning from her family. A little more practice and I think she will pass. A lot of the drive was good. Personally I think that intersection where she got the dangerous fault right off a roundabout of turning into three lanes so fast was poorly designed, and if it was me, that would be a candidate to install a traffic light.
Thank you Sirha for coming on.😊 9:11 good she didn’t this quickly After the dangerous fault She did this well 13:11 Keeping zebra crossing clear Aman please let me take a mock test for the channel 😮
I think she is used to press the clutch a little bit too much and besides the clutch wear, her left foot will get eventually a little bit too tired. For example at 5:17 for the entire time you are waiting on the traffic lights to go green, she has the clutch pressed. What about putting neutral there and leave the clutch alone?
I may take a refresher course, I'm a retired international truck driver, it would be interesting how I really am now after so many years. For Sirha, a refresher in driving 😂😂😊

The right turn on the big box junction. Those are my least favourite things while driving (apart from big roundabouts). I don't understand why the traffic is organized in a way that those turning right have to get on the edge and wait for opportunity for turn that often times comes only after light turns red (also for you). This is seriously one of the most stressful situation for me, waiting and seeing those cars going ahead at 40 miles per hour. And then ofc people behind you beeping on you because you didn’t take chances they would take for a turn. You never get opportunity to turn before red so why there is no conditional green for those turning right from both ways and those going straight are on red for at least 15 seconds? Would be wonderful if someone could explain that to me.
16:32 Doesn't sit right with me. No way she should continue through with the overtake with the motorbike approaching from the incoming lane, the bus not stopping, and a vehicle was parked just ahead of the bus. She made the right decision. If I'm wrong about this, someone please tell me.
I would say neither decision is wrong but if she kept on accelerating rather than slowing down it would've been an acceptable overtake even for test standards (definitely safe since the motorbike was far away initially and the bus is barely creeping straight in its 'safe zone'). However I definitely don't blame her for stopping since she potentially noticed all the things you mentioned at the time (plus being on a test): 1. the bus signal change 2. bus creeping forward (I feel this one had the strongest effect in her decision-making from a learner perspective) 3. motorbike in the distance I personally wouldn't bother giving a minor especially for a learner since it was a 50/50 choice & the point is to that they're safe enough to drive not perfection, it's a nitpick situation anyway as long as its not a fail lol.
