My book, the Easter Connection, would be a great enrichment for your Easter and a gift for others. www.seagullbook.com/easter-co...
In this episode Andrew Skinner and Kerry Muhlestein discuss the events of Good Friday. They talk about the Savior’s trials, and about His suffering on the cross, and His death.
We are grateful for our sponsor, Lisa Spice, and for our producer, BJ Muhlestein, and for Rich Nicholls, who composed and plays the music for this podcast.
A whole new season opened up to our family this year. That is the true meaning of Easter and all of the magnificent parts that go with it. A whole lifetime of service from our Savior culminating in this Holy Week.
Thank you for all you have done to help open our understanding.
I am so very, very glad to hear that. Blessings to your family!

Thank you for your service, experience, knowledge and willingness to share. Many Christians, not having experienced the joy we have found due to our temple worship, truly experience a week of mourning during Holy Week. Perhaps our gratefulness to Heavenly Father, as well as the Savior for this Divine sacrifice, can reveal to us a sense of deeper reverence and respect.
We are blessed that we can both feel sorrow and joy on this, the best and worst, of all Fridays!
Absolutely loved todays thoughts. Thank you so much!
I am so glad. It is a powerful day to commemorate!
Thankyou I have been learning so much from your insights
I'm so glad!
3:20 "Good Friday" wasn't till I was serving in the temple on good Friday 29th March 2024... yesterday that I had a thought. After the Saviour died all those years ago....He was welcomed into the spirit world ... they were all waiting... in great joyous anticipation ... Abraham... Sarah... Noah and his family... Isaiah who prophesied the days events on his knees and then teary eyed waiting in line... Rebecca the mother of the covenant with her sons... Daniel And his companions...all of them in a great congregation awaiting instructions in order to set about the work that I was about as I served good Friday 2024... Oh what utter joy! Good Friday was ... is... Will be ... joy beyond joy illustrated by restoration... come follow me illuminated and informed a revelatory experience for me that blessed day beyond beautiful 😢😮😊❤
I will always want to be in the temple every good Friday for the rest of forever... 🎉
Amen to that!!!!!! Thank you so much!
What a wonderful thing!!!
Without Good Friday the temple of today would be tge temple of the pre atonement Christ... temples today exist because of Good Friday!
@@lydiastevenson8502 Amen. And also because of Holy Saturday!
Is it a coincidence that this Good Friday episode is season 3 episode 33?
I thought it was a cool coincidence!
Thank you brethren!
I am so very glad it was helpful for you!
Thank you for another wonderful learning, insights, and comments. I am left thinking about the details of our Savior's last hours on earth, discussed here today. 🤍
It is a solemn but wonderful day to contemplate!
A film was recently shown at the 2024 Zions Indie Film Festival that depicts the story of the one-room schoolhouse and the boy who took the punishment for another boy in class. It's called Vicarious: ruclips.net/video/ox6j5_YT0BQ/видео.html
I just watched it. So well done!
We used to observe the service of 3 hour agony every week... but President Nelson cut it down to 2 hours.
You made me laugh. thanks!
Hardly the attitude to have about the instructions regarding the Savior.
@@loricagardener4826 I must have misunderstood you. I thought you were saying that church was three hours of agony.
