I just discovered you for a much needed refresher. You not only have the best instructions that really simply the stitches…. But you have the prettiest hands & the best voice too! 🥇 Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for starting at the beginning. 🌷Sometimes people start teaching us on a project they've already started. Sometimes that's hard for me to understand.
I've been garter stitching projects for a while now. I usually use continental style for knitting, but I was having trouble doing the purl stitch, thus having difficulty learning the seed stitch. This is a helpful video. I think I get it now. Thanks!
This tutorial helped me master this stitch. Thanks for teaching it so well! I started my scarf with 13 stitches, super bulky, but after a few rows I wimped out & made it 12 because I was worried odd might not turn out right… has anyone else had good luck doing odd?
Wouldn’t it be easier to use an odd number of stitches? Then each row would be exactly the same instead of having to remember “knitting the purls and purling the knits” wouldn’t it? Or am I completely confused?
I can see where you're coming from, but that's not quite it. Doing the opposite - knitting purls and purling knits - is what creates the seed texture 👌
You are absolutely wright ! I always work with odd number with seed stich and it works better. knit, pearl, knit , pearl ... knit . Then the next row , you do the same : knit, pearl , etc.... I always start my new row with a knit and don't have to remember or wasting time to try to look if my last row finished with a pearl or knit, since I often use dark yarn and it's harder to see.
What a wonderfully detailed explenation of creating a beautiful blacket .thankyou so much.keep doing what your doing. Can,t wait to try it.

I think an easier way to remember, with even number of stitches, is just for one row start with knit and then the next row start with purl etc.

I did the odd number technique but didn't work for me. It was always turning into a ribbon stitch after the fourth row.
@@Zireael1410 I don't understand. I always do the odd number and it works perfectly.

I think this needs to be closer, haven't got a clue how to make a pearl it keeps coming lose
This is just turning into the 1x1 rib stitch for me. any idea why?
What number do you want to knit?
How many stitches do I need to cast on to make a small blanket???
However many to make the blanket as wide as you like it to end up
Like uh 50 I think
What???😓
