really appreciate your in depth disassembly as the first few minutes of running my FCX24M range rover indoors the rear metal diff gears both broke and locked up my diff, I have them on order but i did not expect that to be a weak spot. thanks and take care eh!

Beautiful place for testing, backwashing again 9:02 PM Saturday, July 20. I got my defender 110 today. I just ordered the discovery couldn’t order both at the same time, appreciate the in-depth video as always I’ll catch you on the next one until then, peace and chicken grease😄👍👍👋👋😎

Yeah, that’s what I do with my bushings knuckle bushings a little bit of grease to hold them in. I do the same with the little drive pin for your hex. I hate when you take the hex off and the pins fall out.

I’d *love* to see the D90 or D110 with wheels from the Disco or Range Rover. The bigger wheels on the Defender make it look far less scale and more monster truck…
We’d likely just upgrade the wheels and tires all together.

That was an epic video! I hope someone 3D prints a skid that makes the transmission and motor a little higher for clearance and link mounting position. Not looking forward to taking those cvds apart to install an OD, maybe better to get some UD in the rear.. Hmmm maybe a chassis that raises the skid??..

Overall it's a bittersweet performance by FMS.
Sweet bodies... that's about it.
I was so so excited about this transmission, but they have to be used with the axles because of the reversed drive shaft direction, and... the axles suck.
Someday i will buy one of these bodies when they become available.
Totally bummed.
It’s definitely a trade off. The trucks perform fantastic. Just don’t break a cvd, it’s gonna take some time to fix. Easy, but was unexpected.
@@TheShopMiniRCKen, thank you for the fishing line crimp idea, I've already used it on shocks, AND also on mounting a Cedar on a Mini Komodo motor mount.
The problem with the Cedar motor mount is that it has the motor in a bad spot, it touches the links.. can't drop down all the way.
The Mini Komodo centers it, and raises it up a bit, this allows the whole rig to be dropped down.
There are others that do it, but that red Furitek mount looks great!
I used 12mm bolts, and a 2mm x 2mm id fishing crimp on the trans spur shaft to hold the spur out to contact the pinion.
Now the rig sits at the ideal straight across link ride height without bottoming out the shocks, and still has full spring available.

Great size comparison. I love Kyoshos. But I think they are considered a truer 1/28 scale. They the best scale models by far and as you suggest, are excellent performers for their size.. These Land Rovers are fun - I’d love to see smaller tires on the Defenders. My only gripe is the lack of rear hangover in the Disco and the wheel wells are cut too high on the Range Rover. That being said, I’d get a Rangie.

Awesome breakdown! Is the motor pinion gear the same as the other fcx18/24s? I have a spare micro Komodo I’d love to throw in one if they match up!

Do you know if the ESC that comes with has lipo cutoff?
Most of the older FMS/flysky combos have a low voltage cutoff, id assume these do too. Seems off if they removed that feature.
Just received the discovery and d110, bought them after watching your video. They are awsome! One question, do you think a 900mah lipo with 30C 7.4v will work?
Any 2s (7.4) battery will work so long as it has the correct connector (or you change the plug ends or get an adapter), and it actually physically fits.
The MAH of a battery is just the “gas tank size”. It’s how much run time you can get. You could put a 2000mah battery on the truck and drive around (not well as the battery is HUGE, but it would work)
900 is pretty big but you could make it work. Just know that the bigger the battery, the more weight up high and the worse your truck will perform.

I am sure you could do long as there is room for the motor. You will likely have to move some trays around. Maybe a future video.
It's FMS Though. They sent me a non working ESC/receiver/radio combo and insisted that I was lying about it and refused to make it right. On Fathers day they offered a Atlas 6x6 1/18 if I bought a 1/10 Atlas 4x4. When the package was one town away they say they refunded the 6x6 and it would not arrive. They refunded 1/2 the cost to buy a 6x6 ($60 and the 6x6 costed $111 at the time. They are thieves and fraudsters and should not be allowed to do business in America.
Sorry you had a bad experience. This is the first if ever heard that.

As far as price... We're conditioned now to think 99 is cheap. Don't kid yourself but they still make a lot of money and it's still overpriced for us and there isn't much competition between brands on prices with diff of like $20 which is nothing
We just want to be sure to show what we can and help people understand what they are getting.
These trucks are damn good for the price.

camel trophy what a let down went to my bank today and noticed that it was credited 440$ i thought who has given me this money only to find out its from my hobbyshop for a pre order, O no my landys whats happened on the phone straight away only to find out that they have been band in Australia because of the camel trophy logo wicth reminds them of the old camel🐪smoke brand can u believe this bs.. devastated land rover fanatic .. what is the world coming to.. maybe be able to order from usa and pay the 80$ shipping fee 220 truck 300$ for Aussie's spewing
