For such a basic pistol grip it has an amazing amount of features. I really appreciate the thorough explanation of all the individual features. The FMS LC80 is my next purchase. This model is nearly perfect. Like you said an additional channel so I don’t have to switch out the electronics would be amazing. New to RC. I just got one haven't used it much just testing in the house, after driving it for like 10-15min the rear drive shaft was spinning but not turning tires. Picked up the rig and the shaft fell out from the differential/axel. I took it apart (using your deep dive vid) and realized that the screw from the gear came unwound from the shaft. This was essentially new out of the box. Have you run into this issue or heard anyone with this problem? I screwed it back in reassembled and it did it again, I don't think i tightened it down enough, i didn't want to overtighten such a small screw and into plastic. So I disassembled again and tightened a bit more. It did not come out again immediately like the first I time fixed but I have yet to see if it last beyond a few min. Thanks
hmm, i have heard one other person mention this. Consider using some super glue or plastic loctite to hold the screw in. You definitely dont want to over tighten.
Thank you for this video it’s greatly appreciated! Question is it normal for the shiftier or “pin” that moves when you switch from high to low to get stuck ? Then when you throttle is pops into the desired gear. I just came across it this weekend where it would stick in neutral or not switch to low gear or when in “neutral” it’s still in gear. It did get banged up bit this weekend maybe that messed with it..
You likely need to adjust your trim and / or end points. We have a video on that too. Look for “the shop mini rc fcx24 channel 3” and it should pop up.
Hi thanks for your video it was really helpful compared to the manual. I have a problem with my throttle, it not responding anymore. Maybe you have some ideas? Steering works fine. Even in stick calibration mode there is no response from the throttle? My fcx 18 is 2 weeks old 😊. Btw brakelights work fine.
Make sure the throttle dual rate is turned up all the way and also be sure your battery is fully charged. A near dead batt will give steering and lights but no throttle.
@@TheShopMiniRC even with fully charged battery I have the same issue. One thing I noticed on the battery charger is that the red LED is sometimes solid and sometimes a mix of solid and flashing. Could it be that my battery or charger is broken?
I'm new to all this! Thanks for the video. Slowly getting into the details :) Question: The channel 2 (gas signal) you'd like to get out of there. Internally, this must arrive at the receiver and somehow be forwarded to the ESC. So if you really wanted you could open up the box find that signal line and route it out together with GND and VCC and you'd have what you're looking for, right?

Hoping you can help me with a problem I’m having with this RC. My G.Led light is slowly blinking green and the RC itself will turn off completely while using it for a few minutes. The battery is not dead or anything, but I tried rebinding it and not getting any different results
Getting frustrated setting my steering trim. I set it to 0 (centered), then I put my new horn on and tried to set it as centered as possible. When tightening everything up, the horn is ever so slightly off. And to have the wheels perfectly straight, I need to trim a little. Should everything be at 0 and the horn perfectly centered when the wheels are straight, or is it ok for them to be slightly off.
That is almost always the case. It’s usually because of the splines on the servo horn. I’ve pretty much never had one actually be centered when first installed. They almost always need a bit of trim.

Hi, I just got this FMS Landcruiser and when i put it down i immediately noticed the wheels are not centered and always steering a bit to the right, I already tried the calibration but it still the same :/
The trim dial will help you center your wheels. If it won’t turn rough to get them centered, you can remove the servo horn, center the trim on the remote, and then reinstall the servo horn with the wheels straight. Then use the trim to do the fine adjustments.
Hey, I just purchased mine brand new and I received it but my remote isn’t connecting to the car, I tried your 2 methods but still isn’t working. What could be the issue ?
very odd.. be sure you have brand new batteries in the transmitter and that the truck battery is fully charged. If the simple "Hold bind, turn on remote, let go of bind. (light should be flashing) Turn on the truck (should bind), if it doesnt power cycle the remote" doesnt work.. reach out to FMS or where ever you bought it.

@@TheShopMiniRC I was looking at is INJORA MB100 ESC And 6CH Transmitter Receiver For 1/18 1/24 RC Crawlers, will it work where I can click a button to change it form crab to rear to front or to all?
I dont know about the 6 ch transmitter. I am pretty sure it doesnt have "rear steer mixing" where the front and rear both turn from the steering wheel... but it does have a channel 5 where you can turn the rear there or use the channel 3 3 position again.
It's too bad that they couldn't have used the 2 reverse (reverse steering, & reverse throttle) switches in rear steer mode to more easily select ur rear steer mode.
Could have been nice.

In a lot of ways. Yes.
Made a video with the rear steer on the Hummer.. Thank me later or I will do it before you and add the AI rap music over the video to match!
