    Update: I did the steering mod by reversing the screw direction. That went nicely and was effective!
    I put 15W oil in the shocks. I only put one O-ring on as two seemed to keep the lower cap from snapping on tightly. I had no leakage and just consider the other 4 tiny rings as spares. It also came with 4 thin metal washers, which I could not find any video referring to, so I used them on the upper cap as washer seals for the oil. Seemed to make sense? In the end, it all went well and the body no longer comically bounces all over the place! Thanks for the helpful video! It was really good!😀

    Odd... I finally received mine yesterday after preordering shortly after they were announced. Watched a lot of videos on these in the interim and saw quite a few comments about ride height and lowering, so fully expected to do something... Pulled mine out of the box last night, set it on the ottoman and I'll be damned, but if I don't think it sits perfectly. Looks very proportionate to me. At full compression I do have a bit of fender gap, but at full articulation the tires come within a millimeter of the finder but without touching. Not sure why mine appears to be set up differently from others, but for now at least I think I'll leave the ride height as it is. Will be doing something about adding a bit of damping to reduce the bouncing, and of course, tires/wheels, weight, etc, but don't plan to go to crazy on this one. I see this as more of a scale trail truck type of thing than a performance crawler. So a few enhancements is in order, but I won't be trying to turn a heavy hardbody rig into something it's not. I have other more performance oriented rigs that are WAY more capable than this will ever be, so... 🤷‍♀

And lately it only wants to go reverse once in any given session and then never again. If I turn the controller off and on again it will once again only let me reverse once. I tried adjusting the trim and that didn’t help either. It wasn’t the brake function either. Idk what to do. Please advise

      Seems very odd. I was going to say trim, but you said you checked that. Be sure the remote batteries are good. If they are, I wonder if it’s a problem with the remote trigger. Maybe see if someone you know has an FMS truck and you can try binding your truck to their remote and narrow down the source of the problem.

    if anyone happens to read this, my fms k5 blazer wont keep it's wheels straight, it only happens during crawling, but randomly it'll come out of a climb with it's steering way off and the trim buttons cant trim that much so i have to turn the car and radio off and back on and then mess with the trim to make it work, the manual doesnt say anywhere how to change your drag brake or change your steering servo orientation. i think i'm doomed already, i just started this hobby and i already cant do something simple lol

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  Год назад

      I am pretty sure the drag brake and steering trim is mentioned in the manual. You might have stripped your servo horn. I would start with a new servo and metal servo horn. Just be patient, we all started somewhere and stuff was hard for everyone at one point. Just keep asking questions.

      @TheShopMiniRC  Год назад

      I used a 1mm and the just worked it a bit. I tend to do that so that I can widen the hole in the direction I need to so it’s more accurate to where I want. Plus, I can always drill the hole bigger if needed.

    I’m having trouble binding , I hold the bind button, turn on the truck and a after a few seconds it’s starts moving forward . Once I release the bind button it does nothing . The radio just keeps chirping . Help! Thanks

      @TheShopMiniRC  Год назад

      If the truck is moving forward, it’s binding. Sounds like your remote batteries may be low.
      Also, check your throttle trim.

    Mine sometimes goes almost completely to either side when in neutral position. Do you have any idea that can help fix ut

    • @TheShopMiniRC
      @TheShopMiniRC  Год назад +1

      Your what goes completely to either side? Shift servo? If so, and you are wanting to get a neutral without clicking into gear, you’d have to mess with your dual rate and trim. Mostly trim.
