We've been using ours for years, it's been fantastic. Our only regret is choosing the smaller maker instead of the 1.5L. Thanks for so many delicious cups of cold brew. Cheers!
My wife bought me this for my birthday and it has changed the game for me! I have fresh cold brew every morning to start my day and it has saved me a small fortune. I’m able to get fresh beans from great sources and have a better cold brew than I can get at any coffee shop. A+

Yes, if you want cold brew tea. There is a tea local tea shop that sells an Irish breakfast tea that loose leaf. The directions on how to make the perfect brew are to use 1-1.5 teaspoon per 8oz. Since this is ≈33.81oz, you would need to use ≈4.2 teaspoons and fill the entire container with 1 litter of water. I am using the US standard of measurement. After you fill it with water, put it in the fridge for 12-18 hr as recommended in the video.
Bought this last week and I'm absolutely loving it. However, is it normal to have grounds in the coffee? I have a good burr grinder and its set to the most coarse setting. Any tips would be appreciated!
All different grounds I have used in this coffee has resulted in grounds being in it. Typically the grounds will settle in the bottom of your cup if you give is a little shake, but it still is not the nicest thing.
Pouring it through a coffee filter would filter out the leftover residues. May we recommend our Stainless Filter which you can also use it for pour-over coffee, saving paper filter cost and our planet :) Btw, sorry for this late reply, but we sincerely hope you've had great experiences with our Cold Brew Maker! Let us know how we can help.
I always have some grounds that collect at the bottom, so I always end up throwing away the last bit. Is that normal? I use a coarse grind for my coffee
May we recommend using coarse or even extra-coarse grounds for cold brew, please give it a try and see if that helps. And, yes, @rem45acp 's suggestion is awesome! Hi Miahawcal, here is our recommendation: Grounds & Water Ratio For 1.0L: 85g ground, fill water to MAX line For 1.5L: 110g ground, fill water to MAX line Hope this helps :) Happy Brewing!
Yes, to stop from over extraction from the coffee grounds. Not sure what exactly that means, probably to prevent way too strong of a concentrate or maybe it produces a weird flavor if over extracted.
Absolutely, not a stupid question at all, feel free to put in both hot or room temperature water. However, keep in mind that you'll eventually be putting it into the fridge to brew, so you will get icy and refreshing cold brew coffee either way :) Let us know if you have other questions, we are always here to help!
Hi Cami, according to our own experience, shouldn't take that long. Some possibilities we could think of: 1. Your grind is too fine; we recommend coarse grind for cold brew 2. While filling up with water, use something (like a chopstick) to stir the grounds inside filter usually helps with water flowing down quicker. Hope these tips help, let us know if you are still experiencing difficulties, cheers :)
Just bought and got mine in the mail and am very excited about it. Just made the first batch and put it in the fridge. Am just curious if other people have taken the time to stir it in between the 12-18 hour steep and how necessary it is.
one of the enemies of “overnight” type coffee preparations is oxidation, it can give the final product an acrid, sourish taste. so while stirring might give it a little extra strength, it also exposes more of it to the air, negatively impacting taste. you’re probably better off just letting it steep a little longer if you want some extra potency :)
Typically we don't recommend stirring it throughout the brewing process, especially when we want to leave all the micro-residues from the grounds to stay at the bottom so you get fresh and clean cold brew coffee the next morning 😉 To add an extra note: some users who want stronger and more concentrated cold brew coffee left it in the fridge to up to 24 hours, and it works! So you can adjust the brewing time accordingly. By the way, sorry for this very late reply 🤣 But we sincerely hope you've had great experiences with our Cold Brew Maker! Let us know how else we can help, cheers!
Our Recommended Grounds & Water Ratio: For 1.0L: 85g coarse ground and fill water to the MAX line For 1.5L: 110g coarse ground and fill water to the MAX line Hope this helps!
Hi Stephen, Here are some steps you can take to clean out the filter. Regular Cleaning - Rinse with hot/warm water, first on the outside then inside. - Regular cleaning is recommended after each use. Dishwasher Cleaning - Use the top shelf of the dishwasher. You could try using a toothbrush to clean the filter or wash your filter in the top rack of the dishwasher. I also suggest lightly turn the filter upside down and shake it against the palm of your hands to loosen coffee grounds before you clean it. We recommend using coarse grind coffee to prevent coffee grinds from being stuck onto our Cold Brew Maker's filter. Hope this information help! Hi Amanda, There are a few things that you may try: 1. Try using more coffee grounds while still filling to the max line 2. Let the coffee brew for a while longer. Try 18 hours 2. You may try grinding the coffee beans finer Hope this helps! Hannah Ovalware
Grind coarser little by little until this stops. Extend the time with that grind little by little until the flavor improves. It may also be a problem with the grinder. Niche Zero Grinder has worked for me. Almost 0 retention. Edit: extra word
Thank you for the feedback. We recommend coarse to extra-coarse gounds to avoid this from happening, give it a try and let us know how it turns out for you :)

This was good thank you, didn’t get any instructions in the box🤷🏻♂️
Mine was in the container itself but such a pain to get out with my fat hands. Ultimately had to use tongs, haha
Was certainly excited to try this for the first time. Absolutely loving it! Does this work the same way to brew iced tea as well????

You can pour the whole thing through a paper coffee filter afterwards to get rid of the grounds at the bottom.

Hello thank you for the quick and brief video. Would like to know about how much coffee grounds to add in the filter? Thanks
Hi Miahawcal, here is our recommendation:
Grounds & Water Ratio
For 1.0L: 85g ground, fill water to MAX line
For 1.5L: 110g ground, fill water to MAX line
Hope this helps :) Happy Brewing!
How do you get all the grounds out not in the sink?
After the brew time do you remove the coffee filter part and put only the lid back on if you plan to store it?
Yes, to stop from over extraction from the coffee grounds. Not sure what exactly that means, probably to prevent way too strong of a concentrate or maybe it produces a weird flavor if over extracted.
I would remove the coffee out of the filter and put the filter back. Since the cap doesnt really stay on without the filter
@@prismatic90 I move the rubber gasket from the filter to the top.
@@prismatic90 check out my latest video to see what I mean. I move the seal from the insert to the top piece.
I have a stupid question can you put hot water in to or not. I just got this from my Uncle, thanks 🤔🤔
Being as it's made specifically for cold brew, the glass may not be rated for high heat. To be safe, I wouldn't try it.
Absolutely, not a stupid question at all, feel free to put in both hot or room temperature water.

How much coffee would one use for the 1.5 L (as a start)
Hi George!
Our Recommended Grounds & Water Ratio:
For 1.5L: 110g coarse ground and fill water to the MAX line
Have fun and enjoy!
Hot or cold water?
@@clementgrimm6071 I would say cold... hot and it would get taste acidic cools (not sure)
Does it go in the fridge or in the freezer?
The fridge would do, if you want your cold brew extra icy, we suggest adding ice cubes when enjoying it :)
