Fun thing: whomever answers Morden's question is satisfied. The Shadows must make an answer happen, if they can.
G'Kar's answer didn't fit, but Vir's... Yes it does, and Morden knows it. He know's he dead. That's why when he gives the data crystal, he gives Vir the finger as well.

Z'Ha'Dum as in Khazad Dum, with Dum being Tolkein's Dwarven for "city". JMS was a pretty big fan of Tolkein's work, and there's a lot of little references and homages to The Lord of the Rings in the Show.
Vir has, hands down, the best response to Mr. Morden and the Shadow question.
Sheridan now knows what has kept Delenn up for the past three years, and now you know why we've all been the way we've been in the comments. Good time to think back to Signs and Portents and how Kosh confronted Mr. Morden in a dark hallway and had to have his suit repaired afterwards.

Shadows knows who Vorlons are, releasing Morden had nothing to do with protecting the Vorlons from them and everything to do with protecting everyone else. Remember Kosh and Shadows has already collided in the first season, when they run to each other in hallway, at the end of episode they talk about Kosh suit been damaged.
To clarify and not to spoiler anything, Kosh said EVERYONE would recognize him. He meant everyone (everyone else, again Shadows knows who he is).

A bit about the Coventry story - there's no actual evidence that they knew Coventry was a target from the decodes; they had codename for locations but (probably) no idea what those codenames meant. At the time of the Coventry raid it was illegal to organise evacuations without permission because Westminster was worried that it would start a panic and would be counter to their narrative that the RAF was holding off the Luftwaffe.
In my home city a local councillor called Bill Miller was reprimanded for commandeering buses and lorries to get women and children out of the city. He was vindicated shortly afterwards when government policy was changed to allow evacuations. He led a pretty amazing life; son of a freed slave, awarded British Empire Medal, OBE and CBE after the war. He also refused to be appointed Lord Mayor because it'd prevent him from being involved with organising prefab housing to people made homeless and remained a local councillor until the late 60s.

    • @john_amend_all

What made the Coventry raid so devastating was that the Germans had a new radar guidance system, which the British hadn't yet worked out how to counter.

It's a heavy, dense episode; but it doesn't drag or disappoint. It is one of the top five episodes of the season, if for no other reason than the fact that the backbone Londo was trying to grow in Vir finally bloomed.

*Sigh* Khazad Dum is the Dwarven name for Moria in Lord Of The Rings! You hereby have your nerd credentials revoked if that wasn't the first thing the name made you think of... ;-)
That Vir moment where he lets Morden know exactly what he thinks is one of my favourite Vir scenes. It might be the first time you get the sense of how much more he is than the buffoon you see in the first few episodes of the show.
I'd love to know how some of your friends would respond to bits of this episode - Sheridan is basically the definition of police brutality here, you have the Nightwatch come in... What parallels people see is going to depend a lot on their background. The Sheridan thing is fascinating because we as the audience have details that make us trust him, but if you don't have that, it looks like Morden is being coerced in to some sort of confession.
The slap that Talia gave Sheridan was a bit more real than intended! It caught the crew off guard with how hard it was, Andrea Thompson got 'a bit' in to the scene.
On a scale of 1-10, how do you rate your chances of rewatching this series? It's amazing how skilfully the details are seeded, like Z'Ha'Dum being mentioned by G'Kar
