- The eagerly waited Caravan and Motorhome show 2022 at the NEC is here!
Even though we love to look at Motorhomes and their interiors we went with a shopping list which included plates, a kayak and a kitchen bowl. This vlog is about the other stuff available at the show. We caught some talks and chatted too. It was good to be out and at a show and now we can't wait for the summer to arrive!

To be honest it did not feel too bad, the worst bits were in the stalls but around the MoHo’s etc, it was more spacious. They did a good job 🚐
Fascinating watching you make all the same mistakes we made ……I mean this in a really friendly way!
Plastic wine glasses, plates etc.
we finally woke up to the fact there is absolutely no reason not to take crystal wine glasses, including champagne flutes as well as proper crockery.Just wrap them well.

Us too! We now have glass glasses and china mugs. Crockery is bamboo which is amazing. 🥂

Hi both, there are now rigid inflatable kayaks that use stitched boarding like the paddle boards. Best of both worlds. Expensive though at about a grand a pop. Looking at purchasing one myself. You can also purchase paddle boards with a seat. Ref the dogs, there is a good chance they will surprise you ours did. Ref the dogs, I would recommend daddy life jackets.

Great vlog.We have a Syvlor Hudson which we'd happily recommend. Its a good robust inflatable kayak, easy to set up and performs well in most conditions For WiFi, I have a Ee plan with plenty of data plus another on a minimum cost monthly plan I transfer data across to the sim and keep that in a Huawai router.Very simple set up and ee gives good coverage.For more occasional use, just use your phone placed ontop of the fly screen to a rooflight
Amazing thank you for the advice, we will look at the kayak. I could not get my head around the WiFi but getting there now. It’s really helpful to hear what everyone else is doing 🚐

Hi guys...on the kayak front...we bought for our MH a Martini GTX Solo/Tandem from Point 65...it is a hard modular kayak that comes in 3 pieces....fits great into the rear garage...for us its the best thing since sliced bread...if I want to do a bit of sea fishing then I have it as the solo configuration...for a quiet paddle down a river for a picnic with the wife then it's tandem configured.

Hi Lady B, just watched your NEC video. So we use Sevylor Madison Kayaks that we purchased from Gooutdoors. To be honest because they are foldable they are great. We have kayak many stretches on the River Wye in Wales / England and have kayaked many Lochs in Scotland. You can probably get one for about £400 each. We have two and I can not recommend them enough .

Hi we had the Sevylor Yukon, and they are absolutely amazing strong quality. My only thoughts, and probably why people go paddle board route is these take up a lot of room (we never got ours any smaller than a very large suitcase size), allow room for the safety gear, life jackets, oars etc, and then the weight of all this gear…probably 25kg of payload. We sold ours as it was just a pain to take around, only to use once, then trying to dry it out properly to pack it away again… Our dream was the same, the reality is far from this lol 😂
Oh good point! I had not thought of the safety gear. I kind of think I’m over it. Andy still seems keen and doing his research. I’ll tell him about the weight aspect too. Thanks for your comment, it’s good food for thought 🚐
Hi ,, top vid ,, thanks ,,, you two are a breath of fresh ! Didn’t get sucked in on the sales blurgh etc , enjoyed your day and we would’ve prob bought exact same stuff except wing mirror thingies lol ,,, how exciting coming over to france yay ,,, please have an explore of Brittany if you don’t know it already ,, we live there ( Finistere) and it’s great for free sea view park ups , and free food wine electric and water if you stay in our 2 acre garden for a night haha ,, keep the vlogs coming please , Neil Liz and Barneyboo the Cockerpoo x Ps we are in Javea , Spain at the moment in our new Camper for a month or so ,,, another fantastic free ,sea view no hassle park up ,, and soooo doggie friendly …

I dont tow a car but, You only get what you pay for, If you watch Bob Earnshaws video about using a A frame you will see how neat & easy they are & fold up really small , If you search youtube you will find others some are big ugly things with a big jockey wheel on ,Also when removed from car you are not left with shackles hung from your font bumper, ,So they are probably cheaper for a reason Just a thought !!!
Thank you, yes we doing a lot of research on this. There are a lot of legal and safety requirements. Automatic brakes etc, we are talking to a few at the moment and hoping to get installed for Easter. We are looking for a braking system for it to be legal 🚐

We went on the Thursday and my God it was busy ! We managaed to look around a Elddis CV40 which we have on order though, it was nice to go after a 2 year wait, but TBH i don't think i will go this one again as the prices have risen dramatically ! I enjoyed it though and it was a nice day out :-) We did nt buy anything at all, only fuel to get back home and fish and chips when we did get home :-)
I wish we had got fish and chips on the way home 😂 I love wandering around. It’s perfect for buying a new van though. I bet you are excited for your delivery now? 🚐🚐

I'm sure you will get lots of comments on fire extinguishers, my view is a CO2 extinguisher and a fire blanket, will serve you best. 2 things about dry powder, 1) the powder compacts over time, so it may not even work when you need it. 2) Do you really want to be breathing in loads of powder when you set it off in the motorhome.
Very true and we actually said about that when we were driving home. You may be right! We are looking at fire blanket as we speak 🙌🏻🚐
@@LadyBMotorhomeAdventures Amazed you didnt look at the Fire Safety Stick that was on display there. So many more advantages over a dry powder extinguisher. safe to use inside, works on all fires and only weighs just 200grammes and yet apparently its discharge is 8 times longer at least.

Hi we have read all the comments on tow frames after watching your video last night, we spoke to the guy at Tow A frame last year and it seem they are fitted at different garages around the country at a price of 3,400 was the price cheaper at the show, we looked at ex AA/RAC towing dollies but that's not for us, please let us know if you find a good cheaper alternative as we have bought the car and would like to have a conversion for this season.
Yes will do. We think we have found one and Andy is talking to them. I know the regulations (brakes etc). It needs to be safe so I know cheap is not always best but 3.4k is a lot of money!! 🚐
@@LadyBMotorhomeAdventures Thanks for your reply my wife and I think 3.4k is ridiculous on top of that it is £750 for the towbar on our Bessacarr Motorhome so hope you have found a good supplier to help us and a lot more people. Thanks again
Hi, Decathlon have some relatively cheap inflatable/rigid kayaks. Looking forward to your next travels. Btw just looking at some of the filming, is your car left hand drive!?
