- The day has come to finally pick up our new motorhome!
After only 6 months of VW ownership we decided to "GO LARGE" and buy a motorhome. We have totally loved the VW experience but decided we wanted something a little larger.
Welcome Lady B! We love her already :)

Same as our bus. You’ll love it. We took out the middle bed cushion and Alfie’s dog bed goes in the middle. We all sleep like logs.

Another subscriber from Ireland. Just found your channel tonight. My good Lady and I are new to Motorhoming, got our new van 8 months ago and I can relate to the excitement in in your voices throughout the video. Good advice from David tanslow regarding pulling over, I did this on our maiden voyage and went into a WHOPPER of a pothole. Thankfully no damage but am reluctant to do so now. Bob Earnshaw is THE MAN. Patiently imparts the knowledge
He and Jenny are real nice people.

Thanks Irene, yes I have brought loads! Muddy paws is not the look I was going for. I found some really good ones in Wilkos that fit perfectly and only £5 each so they can be thrown into the wash and not worry.

LOL Its all Bobs fault ! We started watching him during the first Lockdown . At that time we did not own a MH . He and Jenny really were the inspiration behind us buying our first MH in 2020. There is a lot to learn with a Modern MH. Once you guys get the hang of how everything works you will love it even more . It took us a few trips to lean how all the systems worked …. We’ve had loads of conversations with people (usually on camp sites) about the merits of different size vehicles and the only right answer is what works for you and gets you where you want to be.
Our VW Cali works perfectly for us but I’ll be honest, as I was the keener of the two of us to have one in the first place I expected to have a similar debate after a few months with the good lady but she loves the VW and it’s flexibility and wouldn’t even think of changing.
Looks like you’ve found your perfect set up too ... hope you have some amazing adventures!

Love the Bob Earnshaw references. Hope you enjoy your new motorhome and get the use out of it that the previous owners couldn't. Our first motorhome was a Bessacarr 412, it also had the Skyview? sunroof, ours rattled a was a bit but I believe there was a mod which quietened it down a bit. We ended up putting small labels on the sunroof latches as for some reason it seemed really easy to forget to unlatch the sunroof before wing it open!! Looking forward to watching your travels.

Great van, we’ve got one of those. Migrated to motorhoming this year after nearly 20 years of caravaning. 8m is considered long reasonless long but to ab honest we’ve had absolutely no issues . There has been one site we couldn’t park on. Happy camping both, hope you enjoy it.

My first watch and I must say this seems a very impressive Lady B.
Those cabinets appear to be some of the most beautifully built cabinets in any van - anywhere.
The toilet model (If the seat turns) is a first for me.
I have never seen a swivelling toilet anywhere. BRILLIANT CONCEPT for this industry and I suppose the boating industry too.
I'll look though your other posts to see some of your adventures.

As I drove down the road, I could see snow covered mountains - so, not far away it is very cold. MT. Shasta and Mt. Lassen are seen as we drive. Here is a little joy.

Lovely motorhome and congrats with your purchase,you need to get covers for all your seating .I put covers on my seats of my motorhome when i bought it brand new in 2016, it is 5 years old now and the seats are brand new still.You have dogs also so you deffo need them.Ive just subscibed so looking forward to your next vlog in your new home

We call our Hymer ‘The bus’-we called our previous Hymer a bus as well-in between we had an Autosleeper Warwick Duo which we called ‘The van’-not very original I admit, but it works for us. Enjoy Lady B.

Nice van but watch that rear overhang plus weight distribution, that length of overhang should have a tag axle or your payload is very light.

I know! After sweltering in the heat this summer it was on our must have list. Can’t wait for the summer to try it out 🙏🏻
That was a big jump from a T5 to that monster. That is like a palace, so much space and comfort. I can't believe you have a separate toilet. We are thinking of moving from our California to An Ayres Rock, only 5.4 metres. Still unsure though the California with DSG gearbox is a dream to drive.
It was a very big jump but amazing who quick you adjust. Have to say we love the space!

Absolutely made up for you ,, great decision ,,, we had to sell our bessacarr ( Bessie) because of brexit as we live in Brittany ,,, we tried two others french registered of course and just missed Bessie sooooo much ,, But now we like you have found our new Girl this week .. “ Penelope” ,,,, a pilote reference 685 A class ,,, omg we love her ,,, we also just had our first mini trip .. few niggles but tres content … now we cannot wait to follow you and your little doggies on your adventures … Brittany maybe ? I really hope you get a good one. We had a 596 for 3 years. 30% of miles where trips back to dealer to try and get things fixed. Hope yours is a good one.
Oh no! Yes fingers crossed it is a good one. That must have been so frustrating and kind of takes the fun out of it.
@@LadyBMotorhomeAdventures Yes - sold after 3 years before warranty ended. Problems on every trip, water pouring in, fridge with a total mind of its own, towbar fitted by our dealer with horrendous electricsdrop down bed nightmares. As i said am sure we where just very very unlucky. Enjoy your new van.

Nice van or motorhome Lady B . Parking will be sometimes be different compared to VW but more benefits are to be had and with much more room. Ignore some of the muppets who have been unkind on the last vlog and just carry on and enjoy. 👍

A word of advice. After you've equiped it with all your necessities, fill the fuel and gas and go and weigh it at a public weighbridge. Remember, if your overweight the vosa will force you to unload at the side of the road and will not allow you to drive the vehicle on a public road until it is within the legal limits. This is the law!

Better safe than sorry. Stuff does seem to mount up and we wanted to add a bike rack come storage box on the back. So we checked the weights first but was too heavy so we ended up having ours uprated by an extra 1000 kilos just in case. Unfortunately the extra ton goes on the front axle so we ended up buying a small trailer for the outside stuff and the bike and wifes spare wheelchair. Best wishes with the new MH, you'll probably forget your own home but always remember, your on holiday so you don't need to rush and race others who may be working anyway. Pull over and let them pass by all means but take extra care if you do so not to drive into the potholes and do any damage. See you around.

Lovely motorhome. Maybe invest in a GoPro or something similar to give a wider angle than a phone, especially when filming in the van. Good luck with the channel guys.

Yes we do. We are planning a road trip this summer with the van and dogs. We are loving the adventure and being able to get away most weekends too
