  • Ignore the weather warnings at your peril!
Week 2 of owning our NEW motorhome "Lady B", we wanted to try and get away for perhaps one last time before Christmas (another option is to ignore Christmas) so feeling brave we said "it wont be that bad".
We are still getting used to MOHO life after owning a VW campervan and still have a lot to learn, but we love it!
Love Andy, Jo, Teddy and Digby xx

One of the best sites we have visited, first stayed about 8 years ago before the new bit was built. Always busy in the summer but book early for good pitch. Wonderful places locally to visit and good cycling around the small nearby villages.

We've just downsized from a caravan to a T5. Just started watching you a few weeks ago, then you went to a motorhome haha. Your van and the site look amazing. Enjoy your travels guys.

Very nice place. We did actually book in there a year or two back to meet up with one of Jan's sisters, but it never happened. The facilities look fantastic. THAT BAR! 😎👍 Love the doggos.

In know… the bar is great! We have booked another 2 times in the summer for a long weekend. Be quick as there was not that much available 🚐

Also a great spot of you want to meet up with friends and family that don’t have a motorhome/van/caravan as they have some great lodges and pods too and for those that are not Leicestershire folk you can pop into Melton and load up on Pork pies and the famous Melton red ale. I fear I also need to get my garage in the van sorted too Andy! IKEA ans storage boxes and those delights await! Happy wintering

Good quality productions for this genre segment on RUclips, a big 'well-done'.
My Wife and I, as seasoned motorhome enthusiast love nothing more than being off-grid at times (Not at a Camp Site), parked-up by the Coast or in the Mountains, while inclement weather buffers the motorhome. Memories of younger years (Still young late 40's!) in small tents, at festivals or with young family by the Coast/Mountains, in atrocious weather; now enjoying the same sounds, smells and movements, in dry, warm luxury, plus no kids!
Highly recommend the Highlands of Scotland, Fort William area during the winter period if happy to motorhome 12 months a year (If motorhome is winter-proofed and fitted with all-season/winter tyres!). Best scenic views in UK, though what ever the season, it is always breath-taking.
Nothing wrong with detail, in defence of the Husband. A Husband/Wife thing I'm sure, as its an accusation often directed at myself! Though, the 6x P's are important with Motorhomes - 'Prior Planning Preparation Prevents Poor Performance' = Spanner or a 'Leatherman's Tool' is the best emergency equipment multifunction tool to carry - Great Xmas pressie for the Hubby!
Good luck with the Channel, you have a new subscriber!
