First time i watched your video and i liked it. So naturally Pinoys, friendly and hospitable.. and you, Justin is nice, friendly and polite👍… greeting people you meet along the unfamiliar streets..yes, addressing them as “kuya” (literally, older brother, and “ate” for older sister) a part of Filipino culture, conversing and laughing with our barbers, learning more Tagalog words, promoting his barbershop,..you’re in the right place. Then the other person responds with their name. It can also vary with us just saying our name and then they say their name. Then we ask "Musta?" which is the shorter version of the word Kamusta. So, for example: Max: Uy, bro! Max nga pala. (Hey bro! Max, by the way.) James: Uy, bro! James. Musta? (Hey, bro. James. How are you?) Kanto literally means corner. Usually, street food vendors hang out in the corner of streets. That's why we usually say there are different kanto food like kwek kwek, squiid ball, kikiam, calamares. They were laughing when they said In Kanto because it sounds like engkanto, which means mythical creatures.
