Welcome to a new episode here in the beautiful metropolitans of Manila!
While getting a haircut is something that most people do on a regular basis, Justin rarely gets a haircut because of his signature long hair, and bandana look aka the Japanese hairstyle.
Over the past 6 months, Justin did not want to cut his hair mostly due to sentimental value and waiting for a good opportunity to get a special haircut. He was thinking of either the Indian flaming haircut or a cheap local haircut off the street etc. However, after living here in Manila for 3 months, Justin finally cannot bear the heat and is desperately in need of a more breathable yet affordable haircut.
Knowing that he could not get a cheap haircut in BGC, Justin decided to venture out of BGC through “the hole” to a local area called Pitogo on a mission to find a haircut. With the help of friendly locals around the area, Justin managed to find a decent local barbershop called Alron Barbershop. Upon arrival, it was not what Justin expected!

Thank you Justine for liking my husbands haircut.❤
Of course!! Thanks for the amazing haircut
Im her husband btw
So many of us here.. I'm the official one!
wow
This is not happening...
I'm the real one...
I'm the real husband...
Justin you look much younger with that haircut. That interaction with the barbers is just so enjoyable.
And Alina's reaction is 😮😮😮
Thanks Fred!!
You look great with your shorter hair and you look younger. Welcome to the Philippines guys 😊✌️
Thank you so much 😀
Wow see? Anywhere you go in the Philippines even though some Filipinos are not fluent in English language, but they do understand basics that they can converse with foreign english speakers. They are so friendly and patient, easy to talk to people.. Im just so proud.😊
Oh wow ..hyun bin
Because, they do not use English in everyday language,
But once they stay in Native English Country,
in just Few Months They will become Fluent easily.
In the Philippines only who belong in Alto and in the middle class
speak English straight, unlike those who are not wealthy,it’s like automatically
they are too she to speak it with Fellow Filipino cause, they might be corrected,
but not with foreigner.
Nice Haircut Looking Fresh And Now You Looks Like K-Pop.
Thankyouu for visiting our barber shop, the guy that cut your hair wearing black shirt is my dad and he is the owner of the shop. Appreciated much!! 🤍
Nice
That barbers shop shows Filipino hospitality at its best!!!
Your Dad is a good barber. Galing!
@@janerodriguez5068 thankyou! appreciated much!!
Mura pa rin ang gupit jan sapinas,Tga hongkong cia.Sana marami pang magsubs din sa kanya.60dlr dito,
That's how you would know you're in the Philippines because people offer you food all the time.... That's Filipino hospitality at it's finest!
talaga? kornimo naman
@@rightybricks1582hahahaha nagiging humble ung tao eh
@@rightybricks1582
BOBO amp😅
Calling strangers Kuya/Ate regardless of their age is actually respectful here in PH
not really naooffend yung iba.
@@peejprz it's a common mistake honestly. But manong means kuya, and manang means ate.
@@percyjackson6711 Well, now they meant different things. Kuya would have been generally used for anyone older than you and Manong for Adults and someone in their 40s I guess. In same case with Ate and Manang.
Its just, in other Philippine languages, Manong and Manang meant Kuya and Ate, instead. The latter is not really present to make a distinction.
Wow! Thank you for featuring our barangay Pitogo 🖤 There's a lot of affordable/cheap grocery shop, laudry shop, and meals, etc., around. Salamat! I hope i can see you around 🫂
"mas bumata ka" means "you look younger" in your new haircut. the kind of neighbourhood you went is pretty much safe and the people are friendly and helpful...it isnt like BGC but you will meet real Filipino people there. Enjoy your stay there.
And the kind of interaction with the locals just like you did is very great and they love this kind of attitude and interaction from the foreigners. On that note, try promote more of your channel to the 🙂, if you like that.
Liar dont trust this joke
@@BlackReaper0202 What Joke? What he's saying is not a joke.
I like the haircut. You look younger and fresh
Im glad you get to a friendly barber shop. Filipinos are naturally friendly and I’m glad you get to chat with some
The "bunot" haircut from itaewon class!! 💕
Park SEO Joon hehe
La Union, famous for surfing, the olace is called San Juan,La Union....you and Alina can go there too and explore😁
Nice place. I just had a not so good experience with the locals. I'm sure not all are like that but, it's just my experience.
@@iLuvNegrosO. sorry to hear that, yes like in all places, people are not the same, hope you enjoy your stay in other part of the Philippines😊
His girlfriend’s reaction is the best HAHAHA Kuya Justin’s (or with e) now looks more Korean but it suits him very well.
You look young now😊 Filipino is friendly and hospitality.
Thank you!!
This dude is natural friendly and very likeable. Good shit my dude!
Nice haircut looks 12years younger tnx for being friendly to Pilipinos 🇵🇭 God Bless 🙏👍
Good haircut. Good vlog and interaction with the hospitable Filipinos. That wonderful haircut will cost you at least $25 in California. Good for you to have tipped your able entrepreneurial barber.
From big city to small city via short walk, nice. Good bye long hair. I like your conversation with the locals.
That was a great haircut, it looks good in you, sir🙌😊. We also appreciate you on how you interact to people around you, very humble! Watching from S Korea 🇰🇷❤️
Alina's reaction was so funny! hahahaha
Not a lot of people say nice to meet you in Tagalog. It's translated as "Ikinagagalak ko na makilala ka." We usually just say "Uy! Musta?" Then say our name. Then the other person responds with their name. It can also vary with us just saying our name and then they say their name. Then we ask "Musta?" which is the shorter version of the word Kamusta. So, for example:
Max: Uy, bro! Max nga pala. (Hey bro! Max, by the way.)
James: Uy, bro! James. Musta? (Hey, bro. James. How are you?)
Kanto literally means corner. Usually, street food vendors hang out in the corner of streets. That's why we usually say there are different kanto food like kwek kwek, squiid ball, kikiam, calamares. They were laughing when they said In Kanto because it sounds like engkanto, which means mythical creatures.
"nays to meetsu" ez
This is the first video I saw of your channel and it was so good that I couldnt stop watching the others. I miss my home country having to migrate to the UK since 1999 which means a lot of the changes I have already missed so thank you for chronicling your love of the Philippines it just made me so homesick. May you continue to find new things to enjoy & appreciate. Be safe and all the best to you & Alina. x
PS I like your new haircut - POGI! 😁
We think you look very handsome & energetic with your new hair cut 😍😍😍
First time i watched your video and i liked it. So naturally Pinoys, friendly and hospitable.. and you, Justin is nice, friendly and polite👍… greeting people you meet along the unfamiliar streets..yes, addressing them as “kuya” (literally, older brother, and “ate” for older sister) a part of Filipino culture, conversing and laughing with our barbers, learning more Tagalog words, promoting his barbershop,..you’re in the right place. Salute to Kuya Barbers there👏
Btw, you look younger with your new haircut. Oppah…
Will watch your other vids and see more of your travels. It’s more fun in the Philippines! Enjoy your stay here with Alina…and invite your friends to experience the Philippines!
I think the haircut was really nice. You look younger, neat and more handsome. Keep it that way. Good job barber! 😄
You look absolutely freshen up!! Give it live a week or 2 and it will definitely look better- ❤thanks for trying filipino barber shop, nice ambiance and definitely shows filipino hospitality
Your new haircut makes you look a lot younger. It’s neat, too. Great!
I just felt that you really are enjoying your stay here in the Philippines! With your wife guidance, there's a lot more to enjoy! Take care and regards to your wifey! I enjoy watching!!!
nice vlog... barbershops are the best place to go to if you want to dive into filipino culture, you'll learn a lot.
Definitely!
You actually look younger! Suits you! Neat looking haircut. Good job
That haircut suits you! If you get that in BGC you’ll be paying 2K pesos lol
since most Pinoys knows and understand English, we also say nice to meet you but in Tagalog is Ikinagagalak kita (single form male/female) / kayo (plural form ) makilala
Your Hair cut looks amazing. You look like a KPOP star now. Welcome to the Philippines. New Subscriber here from Manila 🇵🇭
Thanks for subbing! 👊😎
Nice haircut and you look more younger compare to your previous hair..Welcome to the Philippines...Mabuhay....
You’re now a Korean look like.👍very nice. I cannot wait to see your family in the Philippines with you and Alina.♥️♥️♥️
Kuya or ate is like a respectful way of starting a conversation to people you didnt know or a stranger... Here in PH no practice of hierarchy so you can be friends to all ages .. Also even older people can call you kuya or ate it an informal way of giving a resepct to all ... Cause kuya = older brother ate = older sister is a culture here in PH giving respect to your siblings but today kuya and ate also used to all people as a sign of respect... So its ok to use kuya or ate to all... Its like sir or maam if your not related
great haircut , best vlog I've seen with how easy and friendly you are interacting with everyone you meet.
I appreciate that! Thank you
Welcome to our beautiful country and Enjoy what my beautiful country has to offer.Stay safe.
Watching from Canada.
You are very practical. Going outside BGC to get local haircut. Good your not afraid walking alone. ❤
It looks great. Alina is not just used to it or she just really prefers you to have long hair. You now look very decent. ❤️
😊 thank you
Justin you look handsome with the Haircut, you look like a Filipino/Korean Local, Do you feel lighter with all that hair gone...Enjoy your stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭 ☺ 🌟...
For sure more breathable in this weather 🥵
Justin to say nice to meet you in tagalog : You can say ("Masaya ako nakilala kita - meaning I'm happy to know You").But I don't know how to say it a proper form, I'm not tagalog. (In Bisaya dialect we say "Nalipay ko nagkita ta.")
It suits you. Your haircut makes you look younger...God bless you both..
Can't wait to watch this!

I never been back home there in city of Manila since 1988 now I watch your video how still Filipino do some pretty nice hospitality on you offering a snack that's the one I missed over here in America. Justin , I like your hair-cut. You look younger. Been watching your vlogs for a months already and I enjoy that much. Nice sharing of visited places. Happy that you are loving our country.
One reason what caught me to watch your vid before is that you look and sound like my nephew. More power to you and Alina😊
I feel like I also need to teach myself Tagalog since we use Taglish all the time
Really nice day in that barber shop, nice looking haircut, you actually look like younger now
we need to practice fluency.. haha..
nababaduyan na kasi talaga ako sa taglish. hahaha
@@shigeyokageyama4564 that idea sounds better, straight English and Straight Tagalog fluency. But seems more difficult to do than Chinese hahahaha. I mean how do we not use English in our daily words even if we try to mind speaking straight Tagalog intentionally
we will surely miss justins long hair.. but if thats wat he wants then its okay 😊 as long as justins happy with a shorter hair 🥳

I haven't left the seat of my chair while watching this video and I'm worn out watching someone else walking!
Great tourism video of locals in daily business activities.
As far as haircuts are concerned, I get extremely nervous letting people with straight hair touch my natural African American type hair...
