Got the 36 performance elite grip2 29 from my megatower but I want to upgrade to the factory 38 soon... but just bought a reverb axs so got a wait for a while😂
You should make a video about the differences between Santa Cruz’s bikes. The nomad, mega tower, Hightower, and Bronson are all basically the same, so it would be nice to have an explanation. Also include the V10, 5010 and tallboy, and the others
I kinda liked the "49" nomenclature. You could tell who was running 29" tires at a quick glance. However, that is becoming less of a benefit as 29" DH bikes become more common.
But y r they so dam expensive I get that sports such as this are expensive because gear is important but why is a fork the same price as my complete bike It’s a dirt jumper so not super expensive but still
Like to new video guy Jeff of the. Worldwide Cyclery in what's is the diferents of thes new #fork 32. 34. 36. 38. 40 #comparison in new 2020 2021 versions for the bike's. Thanks guy's Saluds of chile 🇨🇱 🤘😀🤘 🚵
What would you suggest for an upgrade from my RoxkShox Recon 120mm? I have a hardtail Powerfly 5 and looking for something like 150mm for off road and trail riding. Thanks
I always wondered what was going on with that 49 I’d always see on Fox triple crown forks... I’d see it and think to my self, “dayyyum my 210 lbs. KTM mx bike has a 49 mm on it. Why the heck would anybody need that on their mtb.” So, thanks for clearing that up Jeff!
Depends what your riding. 36 might not be great if you are riding really aggressive endure so 38 would be better + more travel. 40 is olny good for downhill bc of triple clamp.
Fox components to expensive for what they can do. Kashima marketing is a joke, so much money for a Placebo. Rip money.. Rockshox best choice, good price for nearly the same Performance
Why are the fox 40 1800$(USD) and the fox 38 450$? I’m looking to get fox 40s for my Sur-Ron so it can take massive jumps but I don’t know if it’s worth the extra 1400$, why so much more? And can the fox 38 handle a surron?
What?? I have arguably the greatest fork ever made. Fox vanilla coil 32 R which is 140mm of travel. He is saying 32's only come with 100mm of travel? My shock is bullet proof super plush only requires minimal maintenance super light comes with 3 different coil springs and puts any air shock to shame. Nothing beats the feel and responsiveness of a coil shock. Google the Fox vanilla coil 32 R and see for yourself!
Love Fox products. NOT a fan of ORANGE. I might not buy orange forks from any vendor because that color can clash with many bike colors, and it's just much too loud (look at my Fox fork!!!!!). Fox should use more neutral colors (black, grey, blue, etc.).
Hmmm I'm confused. The video mentions a 32 is for a 100m travel fork yet the specs of my bike clearly mention my bike came with 2 options in where 1 of the options is a "Fox 29 FIT CTD adjust QR15 120" I have 2 bikes 1 with a fox 32 with 100m travel and another with afox 32 with 120 and it is clear that they are both 32 mm and its also clear one of fork the stanchions are around 110mm long and the other bike the stanchions are around 139mm long. I must say they are both 2015 bikes. Has something changed in the meantime.
Wait I do have a Kona Stinky but i dont know the mm travel on the fork but i think its that fox 40. . but u said 27. 5 inch wheels? Uhm I got 26er dh bike . . .
40 if I could find a performance. Why don’t they market the performance and performance elite anymore? I’m not interested in kashima (don’t like the look and it’s more money then I want to spend on a look I don’t want).
LOL this must be a video for those people that should never be allowed to have any tool in their hand and can not read or understand engineering and design concepts. Even after the simple explanation is given those same people will still look at you and ask you - "So which one do I want"?
Not really, their shocks may have different stanchion sizes but it’s not really relevant as the rear shock doesn’t have to endure lateral forces. Instead they are differentiated by how they are tuned (more supportive vs more plush), adjustments (HSC and LSC), and how much they weigh
You guys are so low on FOX inventory that you had to wheel bikes in with installed forks. Business is good!! 😂 Yeah I thought it was dumb when they named the 29'er 40 "The 49", glad they got rid of that.
Yo, i got a bike coming with a 36, I’ve been told I should get a kashima and I can afford it, I’d go from 160 to 170mm on a 29, I’m about 140 lbs and I’m an intermediate rider, I ride the North east if that can help, what should I get!
Hey I've noticed that Fox has changed the shape of the arch from the 36 - 2019 models to a round arch. Is the round arch superior to the previous design in stiffness? The round arch design looks bulkier.. Would you really notice that on the trail? Thanks
Which Fox fork would you run?
whatever i can afford
The 38
36 😍😍
I would go with the 38
Got the 36 performance elite grip2 29 from my megatower but I want to upgrade to the factory 38 soon... but just bought a reverb axs so got a wait for a while😂
Simple, I would take 1 of each.
Then sell the ones you don't need on PB.
6000 dollars please
Wait a minute
And i would take 30 of each :)
I dont think you have the facilities for that big man
I though the numbers represented the preferred age of the rider....dang
True LMAO, or maximum age

Number of credit card payments?
It would be funny if the video just ended at 0:33

@@WorldwideCyclery 😂
@@WorldwideCyclery thats what she said
How on earth did the 49 get past the marketing team? It's like they forgot about all their other products 😂

40, 29
49
Can you do this for RockShox?
yes please!
Will do!
Please
@@WorldwideCyclery yeah that would be very good because RockShox is so much more complicated
How come I have a 170 mm 36 then

I don't think they sell Santa Cruz
The chassis are all very similiar, except tweeked a little like BB height, stack for the total travel that the bike was intended for.
Didn't know you were into mountainbiking Tim cook! How's the business going these days?
Def not the real Tim cook ✊
one of these for rockshox would b very helpful
Hey Jeff can you do a review on Hope brakes
Hope Tech 3 E4
Hope Tech 3 X2
Honestly maxing out at 160 in my opinion makes the 36 an all mountain fork, and the 38 is now the Freeride/Enduro fork.
160, 140, 120 and 100 is the pump down travel of the stanchion but that number is the sizes of the stanchion.
Oof
That Pivot Phoenix makes me feel all tingly inside
Could you do a more in depth video on RockShox forks and different models for each one like the select plus and ultimate??
I always wondered why the 49 was named like that
I kinda liked the "49" nomenclature. You could tell who was running 29" tires at a quick glance. However, that is becoming less of a benefit as 29" DH bikes become more common.
Should have called the 36 “all mountian” and the 38 enduro.
Yeah, especially that even many "trail" bikes are being fitted with 36 forks these days.

my old fox 32 is 150 mm work fine and very lightweight
Nice!
I have a 32 Factory which has 120mm of travel... so, there isn't a maximum travel of 100mm for Fox 32.
I remember when my 140mm 32RLC was a big travel all mountain fork.
Good Day Sir. Can I put a 27.5 x 2.80 tires on a Fox 32 SC fork?. Thank You. From Philippines.

Can you review sr suntour forks

It’s a dirt jumper so not super expensive but still
I have a 140mm 32 on my bike, just guess how old my bike is
A better video would be the difference between the Rhythm and Performance/Factory particularly the spring.
It's real easy; if you are in NA and you got a Rhythm 34, you are boned. If you got a Rhythm 36, there is some hope for your fork's future.
The fox 32 used to be available in 150mm and the 36 used to be available in 170mm
3:09 my day is ruined😔 I thought it was a 49mm stantion beast.

awesome vid like always.. curious what does the 32mm stepcast acually weigh?
The main difference is the price and associated marketing BS. The extra cost of the parts is probably about $10.
