    Hi Matt, great videos. It's a bugger when the big fish stick it to you after a good fight.

    I'd never complain about a good snapper session Mate. Beautiful day you had there. I'm very jealous with the shite weather we've had down Wellington way.
    I feel for you on the one that got away, I was intrigued to see it surface. Ah well, you'll get em next time! Take care Matt, I'm looking forward to the next video ✌️

    Yo Matt. What’s your fast pitch jigging setup? ie Rod and reel. Jamie

    • @NomadicKayakFishing
      @NomadicKayakFishing  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Jamie, it's a shimano torium 16hg reel and backbone elite jig rod PE 3-6

    • @clevertrevor1549
      @clevertrevor1549 5 месяцев назад

      What’s the PE 3-6?

    • @NomadicKayakFishing
      @NomadicKayakFishing  5 месяцев назад

      It's the rating of the rod, PE stands for polyethylene (braided line) and the number relates to breaking strength. So PE 3-6 means braided line 30-60lb

    • @clevertrevor1549
      @clevertrevor1549 5 месяцев назад

      @@NomadicKayakFishing good grief, you must run your drag at only a fraction of that rating. Surely you’d be destined to turtle otherwise. So where you point the rod and the drag setting must be key? Also, do you any idea what you set your drag to?

    • @NomadicKayakFishing
      @NomadicKayakFishing  5 месяцев назад

      I run a minimum of 12kg (30lb) of drag when jigging for kingfish, so long as you keep the rod tip pointed at the bow its no problem. With kingfish it's best to use heavy gear and set the drag as heavy as u can handle otherwise they'll run straight to the reef and break off

    Hello there bro, I met your parents at a freedom camp they told me about your RUclips! I'm living the same sorta life as you in a similar van with a kayak fishing! I'm just watching one of your videos up north snapper fishing great stuff epic videos and production. In the most respectful way bro I use to be a watersports, white water kayak, canoe and sailing instructor for 7 years and Im hard in perfect efficient paddling. You could use a little coaching on your paddle technique! And there heaps of strokes and bits I could teach you. Id be mean game to do some padding and fishing with you! Even join for a video if you were game. I messaged you on Instagram reply to me there if your interested at all 🤙✌️
