If youre in that area again and need a good feed, the top of sulfur point just around from where the big ships park can be really good for snaps, trevs, kingies, and john dory, especially if you can get on the tideline
I'm really enjoying your videos but today is especially excellent. Our family stayed in the Mount Domain camping ground for a couple of weeks every summer in the 1960s and 70's. I have an emotional attachment to that part of the world. These days I fish from a kayak and the time spent there in my childhood means i have a few good spots. It was excellent to see you scaling your snapper at the Pilot Bay boat ramp. Back in the day, there was convenient rock to the right of the boat ramp that was only just out of the water at high tide. Most of the time it was a perfect place to clean the fish. It was a few metres away from the other rocks along the base of the mount. It isn't there any more though. I suspect it got moved because someone thought it was a hazard.
Thankyou so much man. It's a beautiful place even with all of the modern infrastructure. I'll never veiw that place the same without remembering your bit of history. Such a cool story bro, thanks for sharing! Appreciate it
Great vid Matt, your editing and presenting skills keep growing. I am envious of the lifestyle haha... I keep forgetting to talk in my vids and realise that people cant see what I'm thinking. Loving the extra cam angles and story telling.
Happy Saturday bro., hope you had a Hella good one full of good energy. I can finally start walking again very soon, upgraded my gear yet again to lighter things. Realized in the Taranaki your wasting your time waiting for the weather to change lol. Mean little catch and cook bro. Have a good one
@NomadicKayakFishing +facts bro it's relentless,.but also I love Naki for it's visuals. Hope so I've 500km to walk to my mums next so a comfy lighter load will help You to bro

Try using a spoon next time to scale your fish i heard it makes the job way easier.
Not sure where u heard that but I definitely find it easier with a knife. Thanks for the thought bro

Pilot bay boat ramp, just gotta get the tides right going through the entrance 👍

Up grade your paddle
One day when I'm made of money I'll upgrade to carbon fiber. But for now it does the job just fine and that's good enough for me :)
