I think it was this horde that was responsible for me getting a platinum in this game. I avoided hordes like the plague and knew this one was mandatory to continue the story. I did absolutely EVERYTHING possible in the game to avoid doing this. I finally hit a wall where there was nothing left to do and had no choice. After a few failed attempts,that rush was addicting. I wound up clearing the map and was kind of sad when there were no more hordes left. This studio caught lightning in a bottle on this game in my opinion.

@@hebazatar56 id love to see days gone 2 where they evolve further and further and get even tougher and you dont just get swarmers but screamers and breakers and stuff in the horde pack making it even tougher especially the screamers since they can zap your stamina which would suck

Hordes are so much fun. When you're fighting them you get genuine terror and feel like you're never going to be able to get out of the situation but then somehow you do and you get an amazing rush from it
like that anarchist camp in the mine, i snuck all the way through with a cowboy revolver rifle, and bfg 50.
The LAST fucking one took a shot at me and woke up the horde, I've never run to my bike and peeled out so quickly in my life.

@@Xndrew33 If you stand ontop of the ledge before the exit of the cave, the zombies can't get up to you and are just swarming under.
It happened to me, but I had 0 explosives and barely any AR ammo left. So I had too take it out with sniper and a gun. Fun stuff but I was scared as fuck when they rushed inside
On my second playthrough I avoided that missions completely. I had PTSD, even though I successfully killed it
Still remember the first mission you have to kill a horde and also running into them in the open world. Such a unique mechanic I never saw in a game before. I was terrified but I loved it!
I also got terrified during that first horde mission where we have to clear that horse lake nero checkpoint horde

Same here. The ps4 was like that. I'm very close to beating this game but would almost play again on PC. One of my all time fav. I need to finish horizon also before 2 comes out. Just not of time in the days anymore.

I absolutely agree, the advertising is what kept me away from this. Being chased by a million zombies doesn't look fun at all. One of their best games in a while. Storyline, game mechanics. Enough to keep me entertained for a long time. If they do make a number 2, they need to change the advertising. Hopefully they will listen to the customers who have dared to give it a chance and found a real gem of a game.

I tried this and all appeared to be working to plan until one of them got up on the hut and knocked me off. I still had 3/4 of the horde to deal with at that stage. I managed to defeat them with a run and gun tactic but I nearly had to change my trousers when the guy knocked me off into the horde 😁

I did this horde today . I actually went inside the House with the neon sign next to where the horde is initially at. They can’t get into the house at all. So I was on the second floor on top of the ledge just killing the off with the same tactics. I made it more difficult on myself because I took a sniper rifle instead of a machine gun( didn’t realize it was a story mission) . Luckily there was more ammo in the house.
haha i have a deagle, bfg 50 and revolver rifle. fml i didnt think i was killing a damn horde today.
How did you get them to come to the front.. the hoardes are staying in the back

Where is the house?
I saw one magnificent finish of this horde. The person used the house where you can run into and close it, by pulled Ng some furniture. Right before that the person placed remote detonators on all sides. The horde came around the house and he denotated them one by one, clearing the horde. Insane well thought out trick
I've tried this method three times and still failed. Run out of ammo and molotovs, will have to try this method

I've tried this but the problem is the zombies bedside the house were unreachable so I had to go down to finish what is left

I cant imagine killing a horde in a cheeky way. I need that adrenaline rush when you’re running and you turn back to look and theres a whole horde behind you!
I used to kill them in a sneaky way back then but now I only need more n more adrenaline rush

Agreed! Running, shooting, using the terrain, even cutting down boards to block them, then dropping a molotov/Napalm on them is exhilarating!
Top class stuff, helped me out today. The glitch is by the door, use a submachine gun and an attractor to lure them out then fire each bunch
I LOVE this part of the game. I enjoyed running around and using explosive items to diminish the herd.

I finished this on my first attempt on Survival. It was not this chill. I ran around like a lunatic using every barrel, propane tank, and explosive item I could find while throwing moltovs over my head.
I was very afraid to go out at night during my first walkthrough, so I used to run quickly inside camp in the evening 😂😂
I know the feeling lol he totally had a better experience than I did lol
What's survival like? I'm playing it on hard. I LOVED survival in Fallout4
@@outlawaddygaming same here. lol. daylight was my friend. awesome game. Only faults: Got the girlfriends the wrong way around. He should been with Rikki and just banged the blonde once. More missions in map after story be good. Marketplace could have been improved. Love it though. Especially the sound of big guns in slow mo and Napalm going off. haha

Good job with that horde! This is the best game in its genre. Great characters, writing, acting, music, sound, art design, mechanics, animations, AI, challenge, adventure, atmosphere--one of my favorite games for sure.

also, u can hide in the house which is having some traps, just near the mass grave. After u in, the blockade are collaps and u can so so easily enjoy ur time shooting horde like no before.
Bro how did u climb up there
I always started by using an attractor bomb on the truck with the barrels by their nesting ground, hide, attractor bomb on the propane tank next to the house, hide, then go the building with the car(has alarm light blinking) once you climb under the debris, it collapses in on you and they can't get inside. From there you can go up the roof and lob napalm over the roof to the sides of the building and pick them off just like this building.
They patched that in the PS5 version. In my game that hole is blocked by chairs and you can't get in.
Nice! I like to put mines several feet past the boom barrels so at least 15-20 enter the blast radius of each barrel I think there’s about 4 barrels where they congregate and 3 or so more across the street in about the same configuration. Then there’s an abundance of gas cans to widen the radius. You want to keep them spread so that each individual radius barely touches for maximum lethality

I platinumed this game on my first playthrough, and as soon as i finished it, i restarted it on hardest difficulty beat it again. Took a 6 months off and beat it again. And I'm thinking that im gonna replay it again soon. Im addicted to Days Gone.

Good game havnt been Impressed with PS5 games like the shit and piss grenades of death stranding like really go to college to become a game programmer and that's the best you can come up with this game saved it for me got the last of us 2 PS4 won't play in PS5 tho ehh
Another place for to kill all horde in easy mode is at the west bridge ( south west of the horde position ). And there you can ever pull small groups of zombies.

It doesn't help you get a feel of the real struggle when you encounter a horde out in the map, but it looks like it works.

Thank you so much, Dude. I spent hours trying over and over again. And on putting traps on every single drum in the perimeter, just to find out its not nearly enough the kill a horde this big. Jumping onto that shed really did the trick, because it seems to ne impossible for the freakers to climb it (unless you allow them to pile up).
3 years later I'm playing this game is amazing found the hordes to be easy asf after I got the the attracter bomb and the level weapons on witch island makes the enemies way less annoying 😂

Whoever made this vid, thx. I modified my strategy bcz i wasn't able to carry the quantity this player did. I gathered all my supplies from the gas station the general store and the mechanics shop across the street, over the bridge at the hotel the burger place and the diner. I came back loaded oxygen in between the house and the green car, then at the two cars by the wall, and at the bottom of the wall. I also got two gas cans and laid around the shed. I put the explosives in the shed and on each side.
I walked up to the white car and threw a rock sitting off the car alarm. I turned around ran on top of the shed. I also didn't have the weaponry this guy did I had a BMG and a submachine gun. When they swarm the car alarm I ignited the oxygen bottle by the green car. They actually got bored and started going back so I started shooting them with the BMG. That got them running. I set off oxygen bottle number 2 between the two cars when the swarm hit there. Then it was just a matter of throwing out attractors, napalm, Molotov cocktails, I wasted the ammo and the submachine gun, was getting low on the BMG, then for whatever reason they all started crowding inside the shack, I had a few managed to get on top of the shack and I used my baseball bat with the saw in it. I dropped a few pipe bombs and that took care of the entire horde.
Thank you for putting this strategy up. I couldn't find any place where I could hide well enough and not get swarmed.

If you jog the zombies will never catch up or kill you, and then all you need to do is sprint turn slow mo and shoot. Rinse n repeat and u won't die.
I died a lot on this one too - it is the first time you are forced to stand your ground against a horde and it is a pretty big one to face off against so you probably dont know all the tricks of forcing them into bottlenecks, up hills, over obstacles (basically anything that slows them down from reaching you while you shoot and blow them up)
4 remote bombs 2 proximity bombs 3 napalm molotovs was all it took for me to get it my first try
3rd try and saw this trick, they cant climb so i shoot them, but ammo ran out, i put every gas can before fight and take out 60 of em, then i have nothing left, so i get down and run and get supplies again and then go back up then kill em all😆
I never tried climbing that structure. 👍

Sadly we may never see a sequel of this excellent game, because devs missed the mark with the bugs, day 1 patch fixed most of the issues, and it's easily one of the most stable open world games on its current state. But reviewers never went back to update their score and for SONY that's probably what matters the most.
You only have one chance to make a first impression unfortunately

@@kendrickmelendez8185 World War Z is a different playstyle. It's a COD type first person shooter much like Left4Dead. I like the exploring and adventure of Days Gone infinitely more.

I really enjoyed spending time with this broken dude and his messed up situation. I especially loved the randomly loud sociopathic rants he went off on after most interactions. The game lost it for me when we spent half the game looking/lamenting/longing for our wife, then when we finally find her (spoilers) , we have to do mundane fetch quests to get back in favor with her or even give her a hug.. WTF? Great game... Loved the crazy of it.
She found a better cause to replace the coochycoochy... I guess

Hell yeah! Just got to this point in the game and this worked beautifully. Had to jump down and lure some over twice, but that wasn't an issue.

PRO TIP : If anybody is stuck at this point in the game and can't clear it no matter what . Put the game on EASY DIFFICULTY and after that when u die 2 or 3 times game will give you option to skip this sequence

I did a combo of what you did here after I did what others said to do and it worked. I only had to do this mission 22 times!
I see alot of comments that there will not be a days gone 2 for various reasons. Well I can tell you that they did release it on pc and this is something Sony usually dosent do with there dedicated titles. All I can say is we must leave good reviews ourselves on games such as days gone. When a developer sees what a success it was by there fans they will possibly consider a sequel 😄. I have always believed in if you love a product you leave a good review so that the producers will get the recognition they deserve and this game is in a category of its own, it's truly a masterpiece and deserves all the recognition from its fans. So if you haven't left a 5 star review I highly suggest doing so. After all if a company sees its work was worth the effort and time spent on something that makes them alot of money they will I'm sure consider a part 2.

Excellent strategy dude. I didn't know i could climb this hut (i tried). I killed literally every horde in the game by hiding in the bushes, throwing an attractor, then a naplam molotov or grenade...rinse and repeat till the entire horde gets wiped out. Killing hordes was the most fun part of the game and it was easy.
This looks more fun than doing the house method as I did. I couldn’t figure out how to get on top of this building.

The freakers will climb walls twice as high as that little building just by piling up on top of each other.
Sneak up, lob in a couple of napalms one to the main body and one just off to one side, leg it back a way bit and make sure you have the 375 ammo special machine gun

There are some spots in this game which I think are bugged where they can't climb. Otherwise if you take a closer look while fighting sawmill horde, they actually climb on those big walls by crawling on them but they cant climb on this little structure.

thank you so much for this, i literally couldnt do this, im apprently the only one who didnt spec to carry more items, i wasnt prepared for this mission and i got stuck in it or start WAY back. i didnt have stamina shit or stuff to make it, had a stupid sniiper which suked, could only hold two napalm...i was screwed till i found this, thank you!
