Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global disaster.
Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter trying to find a reason to live in a land surrounded by death. Days gone deserves its sequel it’s criminally underrated it has a solid story and characters you can relate to.
Whoever wrote the dialogue for this game did an amazing job. Also the tiny interactions throughout, and the voice acting and character animation. Just very good!
I agree!, this game has some of THE BEST voice acting and intetaraction I've ever experienced!, it's better than most movies!, loved this game
I agree, the voice acting is amazing in this game, but I noticed something else too. While watching the cutscene with Adda, I realized that the body movements were completely natural looking, which suggest that the developer made the expense to produce motion capture. That alone also makes the game so much more immersive, along with the dialogue, as well as the amazing graphics. Dare I say, this has more in common with a quality triple A game, then an Indie title.
Fooster's voice, demeanor, and reaction in each video is the best therapy session anyone can ask for
forreal though. Whatever the time difference is between me and Fooster works out perfect to where I'm usually just getting home from work when he post a new video

Agreed! When Fooster echoed Deacon and said "you understand, Lisa?" like a concerned parent.....I genuinely melted.... His voice is so smooth, soothing and relaxing.
Your absolutely right! I hate most lets play channel's, because they go completely overboard for views and annoy the hell out of me. Having said that, Fooster is a cut above the rest, and shines as a guiding example, of how to do a Lets Play channel, and do it well. Fooster's uploads are the highlight of my week, I appreciate them so much!

@@HergaDerp geodes are not thunder eggs, Geodes are any volcanic rock that has a hollow space inside of it. a thunder egg would be a geode if there's a bubble (hollow) spot inside of the rock, (not fully formed). just search up the term. so a thunder geode maby.

IKR? One of the things that annoy me about other Lets Play channels, is that they never pay attention, and constantly make annoying mistakes, all while putting all their attention to Twitch chat. I eventually had to make a new rule for myself, I can only watch channel's like Footer, who don't play with chat. It is the only way that I can maintains my sanity these days. And Fooster never disappoints me, he plays logically, and competently, and always warms the heart with his words.
One thing I love about Deke, is that he served in the Army in the 10th Mountain. I served along side of them myself when I was in the 101st Air Assault. They are a solid group and it makes me feel more attached to Deacon as a character because he feels "familiar" in terms of military service. The 10th frequently serve along side of the Rangers of the 75th/3rd as support which lets you know that if Rangers serve along with them, they are capable warriors. It tells you that Deke is trained in combat and tactics. Great character backstory. The Walking Dead character you are thinking of is Carol. She was my favorite character along with the Katana wielding Michone.

Knew some mountain men myself, though I was just a Red Leg. You're right, his back story helps me with immersion as well. Not sure how much of this game you've seen, but for me, Colonel's camp grinds my brain the most. The saluting, that's all I'm saying. Lol

As always love the commentary. Too right on the beauty that is central Oregon. Grew up hiking 3 Fingered Jack, Broken Top, visiting the Camp Sherman store and lodge & later tent camping the Metolius River🏕️. This design team has it spot on, even down to the orographic effect on the lush side and rain shadow split with high desert on the other. Super nostalgic

For the people who never played this and really enjoyed it your in for a treat, could say this is still like a tutorial trying to get you prepared, there's a lot more zombies out there somewhere, a lot more.

I'm happy to lay back for 3, 4, 6 hours and just take it all in. This is an excellent series that has me enthralled.
Thunder eggs are similar to geodes. When cut open you can find chalcedony , agate, jasper, opal or quartz in differing amounts creating beautiful patterns inside. They only differ from geodes in that they are solid instead of hollow centers with crystals like geodes.
Ethiopian ones are the most beautiful to me.
@jameshopkins503 I saw a pair of Ethiopian thunder eggs cut and the inside looked like a cross between a six point star and a snowflake in light blue. It didn't seem real.
thunder eggs can be geodes, " classification of a geode, a geological secondary formation within sedimentary and volcanic rocks, Geodes are hollow, vaguely spherical rocks, in which masses of mineral matter (which may include crystals) are secluded. Basically if a thunder egg isn't fully formed and a has a hollow mass in side it, its considers a geode. probs a thunder geode. XD
This is such a great game, Fooster. I can't recall if you've played it through, but I do recall you planning on doing so.
The way the map is laid out, to the combat, to the magnificent driving (feeling the weight of the bike, landing just so, pulling the brake for a tight corner, etc) is just fantastic.
Characters... Some you'll grow to absolutely hate, others you'll really like, but sadly, there are some you won't get much of an opportunity to get to know.
As for Deek... His manifestation and struggles with PTSD is absolutely on point: From the way he reacts to others in some situations, to when he runs across a bandit camp and is talking to himself, or is engaged with freakers or bandits and his internal monolog nails it, as well as his distance from others--not fast to form friendships, but those he lets in, they become, "his," and he'd give his life for them. This game, all those years ago, helped take the stigma of, "PTSD," away from me, and made me realize it's a natural, human thing, and understood that asking for help doesn't make me weak.
Anyone struggling with PTSD, or any other health issues, please, take care of yourself. And, just as importantly, take care of each other.
Yes longer ones are very much enjoyed. I love seeing it all. No editing even needed. I'd enjoy watching more than just the main story, hit some side quests and explore! ^_^

Days Gone has one of the best stories, since Last of Us and Max Payne 1, thanks Fooster for continuing this one... it truly is a roller coaster of emotions as you relate to the characters, especially as they're all so well done.... also this is set not far from where my American brother from another mother is from and he said he recognised a lot of the locations by the level of detail too 🙂

Brother Fooster, I believe the thunder eggs you're thinking of are called geodes. My girlfriend is a rock hound of sorts and one thing I've learned is to search the base of trees that have been hit with lightning, because sometimes certain rock formations will be created by the electricity traveling down the tree, into the roots and earth, and essentially superheating specific minerals into what the game calls "thunder eggs". Which is a pretty cool name I must say lol. Anyways, great content as always man, looking forward to the next episode!

I think the Geological term for "Thunder Eggs" is Geodes, We have a lot here in the Lake District and are crazy cool when cut open.

@Fooster - always, always reload your weapons before taking an ammo box like the ones in the cop cars - they only replenish your carried ammo, not the mags in your weapons. Similar topic applies to anything you can craft (bandages, pipe bombs, molotovs, etc.) - craft everything you can, then you can carry more because you'll have a full stock of throwables, and a full stock of the materials to make them.
This was such a happy surprise, to see that your continuing playing Days Gone, you might say regarding your return, its more like, days continue hehe. This game is freaking amazing, I literally had no idea that it was this good, its like your playing a movie, and looks amazing too! Yes, absolutely, please continue to release these consecutively, I would appreciate it. Thanks Fooster!
The best part about Days Gone is that it doesn't have an unnecessary sequel that ruins it.
