ABOUT DAYS GONE:
Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global disaster.
Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter trying to find a reason to live in a land surrounded by death. Scavenge through abandoned settlements for equipment to craft valuable items and weapons, or take your chances with other survivors trying to eke out a living through fair trade… or other means.
I'm going to have an existential crisis when fooster finishes this series. This has been the best series to watch

@@hellcat1401 i was thinking GOW because of all the mythology that he could ooh and ahh over. I think that's what sets him apart from other creators imo. It's nice to hear someone have a genuine compassion/interest in specific topics and graphics. Though I'm not sure GOW is something he'd be interested in. Maybe TLOU 1&2?

I absolutely LOVE how Boozer was like, "I don't give a damn WHAT they've got, We'll come and get you and Sara". True friends will go through the shit to pull you out on the other side of trouble. Gives me the chills. I've done the same for friends of mine, late night at 3 a.m., A male friend calling you from a bar who is about to get into it with locals or some such, or a female friend calling you from the police station needing bailed out and brought back to base. Stuff like that, I miss those bonds I had. Boozer had it in his voice, "I'M ON MY WAY" and that's so rare these days. Great characters, good writing. And Fooster playing it makes it all the better.

These longer episodes are awesome Fooster. This game is so good even my wife watches when she can just to see whats happening next with the characters and she doesnt watch any gamers that alone says alot about your content. Keep up the awesome work fooster.

this is one of my all time favorite games ... I have played through it at least 4 times. First found it in 2020. Love this watching this walk through...
If you visit Crater Lake I recommend doing it late spring, early summer. We were there during the July Fourth holiday and it was blue skies, blue lake with the contrast of snow still on the ground and the surrounding peaks. Absolutely stunning.

The running and stopping and dodging physics would drive me mad but the facial expressions and dialogue feel natural. Eye movements, smiles, etc are incredibly nuanced!
That was a really good fight against the Horde. I really enjoyed it. And anyway, your cheerful way of playing puts a smile on my face too.
When I finished days gone for the first time, it left a big ass hole in me for a few days… and then I had to play it over again lol One of the best games ever created and I’m glad you’re enjoying it, foos
Finished work earlier, just finished my run, been sitting in my desk chair straight up zoning out scrolling through the 'Tube putting off homework and THIS shows up! Fooster!! You beauty! I have been absolutely LOVING this series. I discovered your channel through Pacific Drive and from there I've dug into the rest of your content, with this series being towards the top of my list. Love the eerie first-person horror style games you do! But this game is truly in a league of its own. We gotta bug the devs for a sequel!! Even though I don't even know how the game ends, I know it needs to be continued, just so you can stream it haha.

Unfortunately, Sony axed the sequel that bend had planned. Days gone is a great game today but it had a bad launch and underperformed in their opinion. It’s sad and I wish they would at least let us know what the story for the second game would’ve been. The “true” ending gives us a hint, but I want more lol

Fooster - this game may be absolutely incredible, but having you as our narrator and companion is even better
This game is amazing. I finished it like three years ago (during COVID) and has two or three more trophies to go before platinum. Must replay it one of these days.
Also, check vehicles for loots also, especially the back of vehicles which trunks you see not wide open. You can find a lot of goodies there as well.
Probably one of the best series so far. The only bad thing about these episodes is that we have to wait 3-4 days for a new one :(

Gotta agree. I was literally sad when this game was over. FWIW. I live in Oregon. It looks very much like the game(Minus the zombies and Nero LOL). Im just a couple of hours away from Crater Lake and just got back from there. Spent time on Wizard Island. The lake is a dormant volcano and the tenth deepest lake in the world. You should visit. Fingers crossed on a sequel.

Fooster, this game is insane. When you think you've figured it out, the game throws a wrench in your idea and heads off in another direction. I LOVE the intensity you have for this game. The "Come On, Come On" moments put me on the edge of my seat. There is no need to apologize for the duration of the video; you had me on pins and needles as soon as it started and kept me there until the end. BRAVO.
My logical side kicks in. Deek should have had Lost Lake relocate to Cloverdale. There is everything any Commune could ever want, and more. Sara would have an entire Science lab at her disposal.

im gonna be so sad when this series is over.....everytime i tune in to the next installation i cant get enough...i get left on cliff hangers making me literally on edge until the next one comes out! such a good story...awesome characters and i love the missions...theyre all different so the game doesnt become repetitive! i love all your content but these story driven games are my fave! cant wait till the next one!
I have no idea if anyone has mentioned this yet, or if there's even time before you record the next one, but there is a secret ending to the game. After the last mission, just continue playing for a bit. Run around, do side missions, clear hordes, collect landmarks, etc. You'll know when enough time has passed.

Crater Lake is a great spot. Very beautiful. I camped along the ridge when I hiked the PCT, waking up to that view is amazing.

I worked at Crater Lake National Park for two summers in my youth… That a a recognizable, but very “gamified” version of the lake. The real one is much larger, and a true wonder to see.

I'm glad Sony decided to bring this over to PC. It's one of those games I always seem to come back to. I think I'm on playthrough number 5 with some mods to make the hordes bigger and a few other tweaks. It's not the best story out there, but the VA and writing are top-notch. The visuals are still stunning. It makes me incredibly sad that we'll likely never get a sequel.
It's not hard at all to spend a week in Oregon and extend it to a month, particularly if you are at all curious about geology. The scale of ancient volcanism is dramatically on display from Reno to Olympia. It's also very easy to plan a craft beer road trip which includes Crater Lake. May/June & before wildfire season is my strong recommendation. Plan & enjoy.

I've been playing it again ended up getting it for my steam deck fairly cheap and let's just say it's extremely rare for me to play a game more than once. The atmosphere and everything was just so good.

At time stamp 24:30, remember how Sara kept pulling the trigger of her empty rifle? When I was involved in my first combat shooting as a law enforcement officer, my partner and I were ambushed. We got through it, but I was doing the same thing - I kept pulling the trigger on my empty handgun until my partner brought me out of my "trance," for lack of a better word.
Damn, that brought it back in my head like it was last night.
The psychologist I was assigned to said that my reaction was typical for most officers involved in their first combat shooting.
Days Gone is a masterpiece, as you so rightly say and I never get tired of playing it.
It would be amazing if modders could turn this game into an open world Roleplay for multiple people like they do with FiveM and GTA RP
Days Gone is one of my favorite games and incredible is an understatement. and the 2nd I got my platinum trophy in. It's disappointing that a sequel will probably never happen.
