Nicely done video with lots of good tips. A few I think you missed were the smoke bombs. If a breaker is running at you just throw one at them and they will stun which let's you knife/stealth kill them if you have the upgrade unlocked. Same with a group of humans throw it into the crowd then sprint up and start knifing everyone. The proximity and landmine bombs are best used by running from a horde turn around to face them and plant it at your feet and dodge roll away. You can climb faster than hordes so climbing up onto trucks, buses, nero trailers gives the best opportunity to use throwable explosives cause the horde gathers up to climb; it also gives you a better view of them to throw your explosive. It's a shame they weren't working on a sequel! It's such a great game!
Bless you
Awesome video, man. Just starting this and am a bit lost in it. This will help a lot.
This just saved me my entire break at work thanks homie

Additional tips and tricks for new players,
1. I highly suggest looking for those Ambush camps as soon as you can, or at least by having Fuel Tank II. It clears the fog (on the map) and reveals Nero checkpoints & sites, and historical markers.
2. Some collectibles can only be found by searching buildings, so I suggest, if you pass by a building that looks like it's important, there's a chance that there's a collectible inside. The triangular popups that show when you use Survival Vision can be confusing so try to go near tables or wall posters.
3. In addition to tow trucks having gas, police cars often have ammos, ambulances have med kits, and firetrucks often have hatchets or axes.
4. Utilize residue bolts to its full potential by hitting machine gunners if you spot them on camps.
5. Pay attention to non-Freaker enemy units wearing helmets. One headshot is not enough to kill them so you might end blowing your cover. Double tap is your friend (you can't do it on bold actions SRs and the crossbow though).
6. Use explosive bolts. Pair it with Attractors or Attractor Bombs and you'll find hordes to be a little bit easier.
7. Incendiary bolts make clearing Crier (infected crows) nests easier. Do not bother shooting Criers because they will spawn infinitely, unless you're aiming to farm them. In that case, equip yourself with a shotgun.
8. There is an option in the menu settings to change the repeated press button to hold/long press instead. It's quite useful if you don't like quick time events that require a lot of button mashing.
9. Sprinting towards the motorcycle while immediately pressing E will result into fast mounting.
10. Do not forget to use cocktails. They're quite useful, especially the Stamina variant.
11. If you find the game to be less challenging and you have the PC version, use mods. There is a mod that decreases the natural light at night, making it way darker,. Another mod completely disables Focus Shot. There are lot more so check them out :)
Thank you for the tips list. They are good. I did not know about the fast mounting bike method. That would have saved me epic amounts of time on my play throughs. I should have probably mentioned disabling the quick time events button pressing in the video.
1 thing that I wish I knew before I played....
The hordes at top half of the map only have about 50 to 100 freakers. Your primary and a couple grenades should be all you need. I was under the impression that they were 200 to 300 strong and I missed out on serious xp. SO TAKE ON THOSE HORDES!👍🏻
Thank you. I only got the game a few days ago since I don’t typically play zombie games since the first few Resident Evil games. I’ve been so hesitant to charge towards Hordes and I always avoid them. I even had to google the best and easiest way to fight the Chemult horde (which was the first Horde I ever fought) and I still haven’t replayed the side mission “Just doing my job” where the horde caught me by surprise 😂 though I was informed that the horde there can be avoided by simply going through the tight gap. Can’t wait to start my New Game plus where I’ll better equipped and ready 😂
@@marcuspoblets The Just Doing My Job mission horde is the Beaver Marsh horde. You have to do this misdion to unlock this horde. No need to kill them in the cave.
I only started playing this game 2 weeks ago and im loving it but I keep putting off taking on a horde till im better equipped. They scare the bejesus out of me and im dreading taking them on!
I'm still at camp 3 and will be going back, to clean the other maps . . . been loving the game.
I thought the hordes were impossible to kill...
Finished the game yesterday. It took me a week to get a 100% on all storylines. I love the story and the characters. I cried and laughed too. Best moment: killed like 19 bad dudes and two wolves on a bounty hunt, and got killed by a random bear from behind just before pulling the trigger on the last guy. Crazy stuff! This game is worth the journey.
I totally agree, especially about the story.
a week?? bro i had that game for 4 month and still havent finished it
@@knightmare6619 it's a good thing too, absord the game for full experience
Love this game, its a shame they cancelled part 2
The combat is huge meh for me.
Here is one. Rather than retelling your late game weapons’ ammo at the merchants; refill them by using your bike’s carry bag. It will fill up your entire weapon, and it only costs 400 credits to replace. Some weapons might go up in the thousands of credits by themselves to refill and will really kill your credits at some camps.
That is true. If players are really running low on ammo during the late game, it is less costly to refill using the bike rather than at camps. Good point.
This was one of the best tips ever. Saved me so many credits during my playthrough, it was crazy. Thank you!
Thanks a lot. I’m replaying the game on hard2 survival 2 so I can get the achievements and only just started. Just saved me a few thousand credits.
I always count how much I would pay to fefill amo. I go for that only if it's cheaper than bike's bag
I always wonder n never really bothered to check...is it all ur weapons or the one equipped
A tip for maxing out Trust at camps: When you rescue people in the wild send them to camps that give Trust rather than credits, and turn in your bounties and meats to camps that don't.
I'm 13 Hours in and I only ever found one survivor
@@pegetaA little late lol but Always go to the Question mark pop ups.. They are a good indicator for these events..
@@pegetaDont fast travel too much when you do you miss these kinds of things
It's an amazing game, wish more ppl would discover it. I want a sequel
The developer doesn't want to do a sequel because somehow someway they allow their feelings to be hurt by game journalists of all things
@@pegeta pretty sure it's about sony refusing to greenlight days gone 2
My top 5 favorite games!! There will be a days gone 2 I have hope!
Please how did you get pass the wrong guy mission
@@pegeta You do understand that they didn't make enough money to make a sequel at the start right? People didn't buy the game because of these brain dead game journalists.
Oddly enough even after two years I still go back and play this game occasionally just to have that “horde thrill” It’s so much fun thanks for the good comments and tips.
I bet you have all skills unlocked too :D
Yeah, going bananas on them zombies is a thrill. Cool game :)
I sometimes just drive around on a bike, very calming :)
I replay the game every 6 to 9 months. Since I have completed everything I always replay on super duper hard mode.
@@belisarian6429 I haven't found another 'similar' game where the bike feels as 'real'. It really helps keep the desire to fast travel quite low.
I have 100% this game nearly 2 years ago but this video was just so relaxing for some reason, it's probably your voice, bravo.
I love his voice too! Very relaxing

This game on PC is so good man. Graphics and mods are so good !!
You are a minion at heart you need an evil genius to lead you 🥴
I didn’t play Days Gone until I bought a PS5, and with the 60 fps update, this game looks and runs amazingly. It’s one of the best games I’ve played. And there’s now what looks like a next gen update as Days Gone looks better now than it ever did!
Me too! This game is way better than I heard.
I don't even typically like console games so I skipped the PS4. Now that I have a PS5 the only two games I've really played are Bloodborne and this (PS4 games), lol.
The only universal thing I can think of in this game is upgrade your stamina.
Everything uses stamina and if you run out you're in trouble, I upgraded my stamina to 100% before I touched focus or health and have no regrets.
I have been doing the same. It just makes sense. If you can't outrun the enemies it doesn't matter how much health you have you will run out trying to heal yourself trying to get away.
Ma man
Same
I maxed focus first, i guess its because of my careful playstyle i never actually have to run unless there is a horde or many breakers
I would say max only stamina if you plan to fight hordes from the beginning. I was maxing both stamina and focus simultaneously in the earlie game, only after iron mikes camp I started to prioritize stamina.
Word of warning: Fuel is easy to come be on NORMAL difficulty.
On Survival II, the spawns points are the same but frequency they respawn is reduced, save for scripted events such as when you go to a NERO research center for the first time and need to restore the power.
Also no HUD certainly makes things much harder.
I put mine on hard ll. Kinda wish I put it on survival ll.
sounds like sleeping is a good idea..after a said hour amount everything respawns
Normal difficulty is hard
@@christianalexander579 it really isn't 😂
Try playing on survival ll
@@christianalexander579 survival 1 is great. I was often going to sleep during the nights to make run for supllies easier. I never had problem with gas. Run out of gas 3 times in 56 hours of gameplay.
I made a walk from Tukker camp to Iron Mike's. It's way too immersive. Now I am rewatching walking dead and it's just like days gone. First episode is called Days gone bye.
Deacon St. John is like Rick and Darryl combined.
I think the reason residue bolts don’t work on hordes is because the horde behaves as a hive mind (I think I remember NERO intel stating this) and are one entity, therefore it won’t attack itself. I believe the hordes are specifically referred to as Homo sapiens mutans turba.
Yes. According to the Nero intel the specific mutation that gives rise to the variants that collect in hordes secrete a pheromone like bees in order to identify and coordinate with each other. This is why hordes will attack freaker variants not apart of the horde like the screamers or ragers.
One of the most useful resources is kerosene for taking out nests for fast travel. 1 kerosene makes one Molotov which takes out one nest. 1 Kerosene Also makes 3 incinderary bolts taking 3 nests per kerosene the incinderary bolts are better investment
Another free days gone player. I went in blind, no knowledge at all. My experience went as followed:
"Oh cool! A checkpoint! And there's just 3 freakers in the train! Eeeeez."
*Takes aim and one notices* "O-oh.... what have I done..." I got lucky and got out only to have mauraders hiding out where I was headed. Decided to look up how to dust these hordies and went back to set up. Luck favored me greatly as I was getting ready I heard bikes. Another group of bozos came to take a crack at me but ended up becoming a representation of what a horde will do to me if I get caught. Lucky for me I had the attractor from the lodge and two pipebombs so it was easy pickin'.
That's one thing that makes this game so good.
There are so few scripted events. Even within the missions, the environment or other raiders can randomly show up and change the course of action.
I can wipe out a horde and go untouched, but then get my ass kicked by barrages of wolves, bears, freaks, or mauraders while simply just trying to bike back to a camp.
The game's random nature is a thing of beauty.
That freaker just rocketing through the sky at 27:08 put a smile on my face 😁
Thanks. Just started playing with my grandchildren watching. “Get him granddad”
An expansion on the escape artists skill: Different enemies cause harder skill checks. The easiest ones are the normal freakers, drifters, and rippers. The medium ones are the wolf's and bobcat, and the hardest ones are with the breakers, reachers, ragers, and bears. They are very small so quick reflex is needed. Oh I forgot to add this the grapple with the breakers, reaches, ragers, and bears only happens once you buy the executioner skill on the 5th tier of the melee tree.
Nice.
Here are some more tips: 1. Breakers can be easily killed with melee weapons (assuming you have learned skills that increase melee dmg) couple of strikes they die. 2. If Breaker engage you, throw him flashbang or smoke granade, he wil be stuned and you can stealth kill him easily. 3. Rocks can be usefull to position almost every enemy ( not wolves and bears) for stealth kill, you can clear whole camps using rock+knife combo, also rock talent is very good if you hit someone with it, it also stuns. 4. Before flooding rippers it is best to open and clear whole iron bute map, so you won't lose some collectibles.
This is probably the most helpful guide out there to be honest.
Days Gone just got ported to PC and watching your video is so relaxing goin into the game for the first time!! So happy it's on PC now!!!!
Man on the same boat, waited for it to come to PC and loving every minute of it. 100% it yesterday, don't know why sony shut down the sequel. As bend studio 1st open world project they did a pretty impressive job in my opinion.
This was by far one of the best tips and tricks video I've seen for any game. Very concise and to the point. I will need to watch it a couple of times to absorb all of the info. A very engrossing and under rated game that I never knew existed until my brother gifted it to me on steam.
the NOM NOM with the bear made me cry of laughter;D
Now THIS is truly a tips and tricks video. Great job explaining and providing clips.
This has been one of the most delightful, entertaining and informative tricks and tips videos I have ever seen. Very soothing too. I hope you make more. You could use that narrative voice on just about anything and I'd watch gladly. Subscribing for sure. Thanks for putting all that effort into this magnificent video, it definitely shows and pays off.
Thank you. It took me months to make, and then for the first 60 days I had nearly no viewers at all, so I quit the whole video making idea. But, since the video started getting traction, I have started making videos again. It is good to know people are watching. 😊

ive only just started playing this game a few days ago for the first time, and i totally agree with your ending statement "They have gotten everything right".
Been playing it on PC. Can't believe there won't Days Gone 2. The game is awesome!
best video on this game anyone has put out. you put more effort into analysis and exploration of the game and it's systems than even the good reviews, but in a tips and tricks video. you have a real talent, please keep making videos like this, you have my subscription
Honestly, fast traveling breaks immersion for me, and it's a pet peeve of mine when devs rely on it for travel distances to work. In DG, there are plenty of random events so that travel to a location may go any number of ways and the map isn't really that big so I don't use fast travel at all. Also worth mentioning particularly for the early game that conserving fuel by rolling downhill also serves to alert fewer enemies to your position.
Agreed.
In Skyrim, you just need to fast travel from time to time. But in Days Gone, the bike riding is so fulfilling that it seems like a sin not to ride everywhere in real time.
For a game that was changed so much during development it's amazing. My favourite game of all time.
When fighting the breaker, if you have the bat with the saw and nails (supreme bat?) then it only takes like 8 strikes to take him out entirely. The bear are also much easier to take out with the supreme bat than anything else.
You can drop a hundred rounds into the big badda bear or you can beat him down with the supreme bat pretty easily.
My favorite things to get first are the Machete and the .22 Repeater. Machete Location: The houses south-east closest to the first hideout, next to railway bridge. There's one little lonely house south with a Machete in it. 22 Repeater: On top of the waterpower plant, also very close (north-)east of the first hideout. There's a stairway and ladder that obviously lead to the highest point of the power plant, on the walkway there are multiple items to loot including the Level 2 Rifle.
That loot atop the deck at the waterplant is respawning loot.
There is also a second floor window at the hotel in Marion Forks that has respawning good loot. I believe the farmouse just across the blown out bridge in Marion Forks also has a second floor room with respawning good loot.
I had no idea how to use the counter attack function. The game doesn't explain it correctly. Thank you to this video guy for showing how to use it.
As I played the game, there were a bunch of things I had to look up. Everything I had to look up was included in the video, including how to use the counter-attack function.
Loving the little glitch montage near the end of the video.
I wanted to add them in, but couldn't find a place to put them, so I stuffed them in at the end. I had to be careful though because the end of the video is all about how great the game is, and I didn't want people to think I put the glitches clips in as a way of being sarcastic.
@@TedNipples I noticed the glitch footage at 27:08 where the zombie does a super jump off the side of the base.
@@TedNipples Nah fam, coming up these useful tips and not loving it is impossible. Thanks for the nitro drift tip, was not able to 100% it until I came across your video. Funny and informative, just what I ordered. Lmao
I didn’t know Sir David Attenborough had a documentary on Days Gone!!! Very thorough and informed work here good sir!
This was such a well made video, very enjoyable for someone who just started the game. Thank you!
From tip 32 you managed to combine ASMR with Freaker slaughtering...epic
I love having the Horde chase me on Motorcycle to nearest Camp. They kill many real fast. Also works instantly with the Bear. You just miss the XP but plenty of Ears.
I tried dragging the draw bridge horde over to a nearby ripper camp on my last playthrough. I thought I might see if they'd help me thin out the horde.
Those piece of crap rippers didn't kill one single freak for me.
21:30 Even if the breaker sees you, you can use a flashbang or smoke bomb to stun it, then go in for the stealth kill. However, I find flashbangs to be more useful, because the smoke bomb doesn't leave a lasting effect if the throw misses completely.
I just bought the game from a bargain bin, and this is the best list I've seen!
The time stamps in the description are the chefs kiss. 👍
thank you I started to play this game last week, each time I play it gets better and better, your video helps me a lot and made the game more fun to play .
I usually get so sick of the monotony of open world games, but even 30+ hours in the way this game integrates their side quests into the flow of the game is brilliant. I regret waiting all this time to play this gem
I agree although most times you won't get many missions till you're riding which is obviously one way the game knows you're not 'involved' in something at that moment. So instead of waiting for the next, I can push for it by taking a spin around the local camp instead of getting 'those' while on my way to do something which feels intrusive.
Coming from ng+ games like dying light and horizon and red dead online, i must admit this is the first time that i flippen screamed at my weapons not working . Also noping at my first horde spotted. Up there with one of top 10 fav games. As well as other open world games i enjoyed.
Yeah....for me the hordes went from "uhm no" to "what new and inventive way can I come up with to clear these guys".
Your British voice makes killing zombies so elegant and lovely. Great video
I still like how the horde mechanic will allow them to spread when you kite them, so if/when you stop to clear more, the possibility of getting flanked increases. It makes you really think about your escape path which I like to define with my bike as the target for easier directional awareness.
Press 'H' to skip made me very happy on replays.
Thanks for the vid I've finished the main story just clearing out some more hordes and camps but this video is still amazing and the "your safe now" mission is still my favorite
I am so glad there are other people out there who have played this game all the way through and have seen all the story beats. Reviewers were so down on this game for being generic, but I don't think many reviewers played the game all the way through because some of the stories are brilliant. I would have never guessed the ending to the "You're Safe Now" missions.
Thanks a lot for this video! It didn't appear when I literally searched for tips and tricks last week. Instead I found it in my home feed now 🤷 Significantly more useful than the other videos I found.
This game is great but there is so much to learn. I started playing a long ago before learning anything about it online. I play it on Hard and I tell you... I almost gave up a few times. Thanks for the video.
So glad I watched this religiously, I bought the game for the PC and I've been doing everything you said for my first playthrough (on hard difficulty)
Great video! Well presented, easy to understand, and extremely helpful! Respect to you mate, keep it up 👍👍
This is very well made and has some really useful tips. Thanks for this.
I just started playing it 2 days ago and I'm in love with this game plus you have the best tips and tricks video I've seen on this game subscribed ❤🖤
I literally lost when he shot the fuel can high up in air saying "Don't conserve fuel". (1:45 ).
Great content and a great video at that. Keep it up bud.
I think the first tip about fuel depends on what kind of player you are, as someone who tends to explore as much as they can before doing any of the missions, I found myself plenty of times trying to conserve fuel since I never had any of the bike upgrades.
True 👍
Most of this is "using your head" tbf. But great for others. Played it on release, took another shot now. So heres my "tips". DONT run over animals/freaks to spare ammunition, as he says. If you don't want to constantly search for scrap, you'll do about 75 % damage on the bike. And the credits you have at some camps are so redicilous nearing endgame that I for one don't care about paying for ammo. UPGRADE the fix bike. Nothing is more annoying than an ambush right after collecting scrap. Since scrap is used on MY favorite weapon, the underrated crossbow (extreme fun to wipe out a camp with the corruption bolt, specially when freaks are around). I prefer actually close combat, so everything to give me a bonus clubbing down enemies, I check. Besides, the price for sniper ammo is redicilous. If you don't get a mission, drive around. In about 2-3 minutes someone will pop up. DONT give ears (sic) to camps you are allied with (goes without saying). After a point in the game, ALL horde locations are mapped. DO at least 3 on the top, nevermind the "main". It WILL get you allied with Tuck and Coopland if you havent got them, and the hordes are farerly easy. If it's day time, don't bother searching all 3 lightened spots, they're always in a cave. AND the "easy" way to take out nero at the college; take out the nests with bolts, run away for each. It will make it much easier to sneak around the big horde there with some patience. Have TURNED on the mission to find music for the science guy. With this turned on, you will walk right into the tent were the missing fuse is. The only thing I havent figured out is were to find rags. Seems that if you go to some ambush camps several times, the resources stops spawning
Just picked it up on PC. Several hours in. Lovin it, fantastic guide man thanks
I just started the game and watched several videos but found yours the most helpful. Thank you.
I'm replaying now. I got it as soon as it came out and loved it from day one. I was very disappointed when there was no DLC or a sequel. I'm really loving the idea of a movie and a sequel
Amazing tips. I watched several other videos but none had as good and as comprehensive tips as this one. Thanks for making this video.
This video actually help take a lot of the anxiety away. I'm super thankful for this video thank you my friend
I’ve been playing this fame solid for the last year and it just gets better. Still can’t believe there isn’t going to be a sequel! Great video BTW
True, though I wouldn't want a direct sequel of the story. I like the way they ended Days Gone, I think they wrapped it up nicely.
I would prefer the sort of sequel where it is the same time period, but different people in a different area so we could see how other people handled the crisis. Like a version in Great Britain or Indonesia where guns are really scarce, or a version in India or China where the hordes would be significantly bigger.
@@TedNipples that’s a great shout actually!! I love that idea!

My first accident encounter with the hoards was so funny 😁 just me running around yelling "shit shit shit shit shit" so memorable
Me too. I avoided them until forced into the Chemult and Sawmill hordes, was shouting "will you b**** run" constantly.
Not to mention the death stranding bike additions.
I never played death stranding, but the bike parts are pretty cool.
Here's another tip: any wooden weapon can be upgraded to a spiked weapon, this includes stool legs and 2x4
And they can also all receive buzzsaw upgrades
This video covered everything it possibly could. You earned a sub :)
I love how detailed you explain everything. Keep it up 👍
Bloody hell, actual tips and tricks no clickbait with things you already know, I certainly didn't know half of this, come on guys, SUBSCRIBE, it's free.
19:26 You can use this in your favor to get the "killing a horde in 60 seconds" trophy on survival mode. Just kill most of the members of a horde and then runaway. Let the last members regroup and then kill then all with a grenade or a molotov in less than 60 seconds. The game will count as an entire horde. That's how I got my trophy.
There's a much easier way. In the very early game, there's some extremely small hordes, that can be taken out with just an attractor and a single frag grenade.
These hordes only have about 25-50 freakers.
Just sit in a bush, throw an attractor near them, and aim for them with a frag. Thats it. Finished.
I assume that the game starts timing you after killing the first freaker, so keeping that in mind, you would have a huge window to aim the frag at the horde.
If you do not have frags you can use pipe bombs. Molotovs don't work well with this strategy. You can get frags and pipe bombs at some hidden locations throughout the world. You can search for it.
A youtuber by the name SpawnicusRex has a video on it too
Worry about fuel until you get the biggest tank.😬 Don't bother with the crossbow it's weak, it will improve towards the end but because it's shooting one arrow at a time it's still useless unless you want to go undetected ( becomes boring and takes too long to kill anything)🤕. Don't waste your bullets on the breaker or reacher, use the melee.😎 Don't try that on the bears, i actually haven't tried but i don't think you have a chance.👻The mountain lion can get you even on the bus or vans. 😱If you find a latter on a construction building or improvised building it means the freakers can't reach you,😇 but humans can. Don't bother with using the mellee before crafting to maximize it's use time, craft it into something more powerful so you can kill the enemy easier and make sure you fix it from time to time trough crafting otherwise if it gets to 0% you lose it. 😳 Don't worry about stealth kill for xp you have enough enemies.😟 Remember switching to your side weapon...🤣.Deacon can't swim...to save his life.🤷😒 If you can't reach a nero it means you need to jump with your bike so you might need nitro but make sure you don't land to deep in water otherwise you won't be able to get back to it to jump back and even if you get the steroid shot and then you die trying to get back you have to do it again cuz it doesn't count. Nero checkpoint has a white colour X mark on map, 🔥 mark for ambush camp and 3 red ☠️ for hordes. If you bring a horde close to camp and the camp takes care of it you will not get xp for killing the horde not get through in the game.🤷 Speaking of hordes you will 💩 the first time you enter a cave. Even visual bike parts improve your bike,🤔 not all, some. The toy if you find it is for the cutest puppy you ever seen in a game🥰😍( he's chilling with Boozer at the Iron Mike camp a bit further from the main area where you get your stuff). You will not only panic but also shit and piss your pants when you are jumped on by... everything.😳🙀😬😱👻💩☠️ I'm sure I've missed a couple. Oh, i forgot ... best game ever.🙋
The crossbow comes into play when you want to start getting creative in your methods for clearing camps.
It is fairly useless against hordes though.
And also, no camp is clearing a horde for you. That ain't happenin'.
One of the best video on the subject I saw so far.
On the point and really usefull, even for returning player like me who have beaten the game 1 and a half year ago.
Cannot agree more : Days Gone is a very underrated game.
Lol well I know you didn’t play on the survival 2 difficulty. Fuel ⛽️ is not everywhere. It is extremely hard to find out in the wilderness. I’ve run out on a few occasions and it’s the most intense moments trying to find some and get back to the bike. I love it. 🦁❤️
I applaud how Mr. Nipples isn’t screaming all these tips ‘n tricks into the microphone like all the other guys on this platform.
Great sharing!!! However, for the Burnout Apocalypse Trophy I was able to do it without the need to downgrade the bike at all. Thank you!
I recently just started this one about 3 weeks ago, and i have no clue why it got so much hate. Im in love with it
It´s probably the best game i played in many years.
I just got the game yesterday and it's great. I'm a big Skyrim fan and after playing that for a good few years, I've been looking for similar open-world-sandbox-type-games. I tried a few like Mad Max and the amazing Witcher 3 but, they didn't click with me like this one has. I like the tension when creeping around trying to avoid being attacked by things, the crafting and weapons systems, the skills you can upgrade to and general gameplay. The guides are a great help so thanks for this.
Have you tried Metal Gear V The Phantom Pain? It's a huge sandbox game with excellent gameplay. A whole bunch of high tech weapons. Great graphics too. I've been wanting to play Mad Max but have yet to find a hard copy of it and PS plus hasn't had it that I know of.
Man Mad Max is one of my favorite open world games ever. Too bad it never got a new game plus mode, it needed one so badly. Does this game have new game plus?
Yep. The freakers are stronger and fuel is slightly less available.
the best guide about Days gone in yt, good job man
47 - sniper rifel the road snipers. 48 using hordes to clear camps for you. 49 - beware the f***k of traps on the ground. 50- learn to run. early on. like really ass fast. 51 circling around those that chase you will break eye contact and you can stealth them. 52 - did i mention speakers at nero stations. Cut that sheet before switching on the power or you will have hordes up to wazoo.
Early in the game I was cutting speakers down at Nero stations, but nearer the end I was armed to the teeth and looking for trouble, so I left the speakers up and turned on the power. Also, I didn't know you could circle around the ones that chase you and stealth them, I will give it a go.
Few days later- 50 percent freaker hordes killed. now i go out and look for a fight. Damn this game is too addictave. And yes ted. i agree.
Ive been playing for a couple weeks now and I love it. In my playthrough, I've been able to exploit the Nero sites and get the same injectors mulitple times. It has to be a glitch or something but I've been using it to my advantage!
WTF I 100% expected you to have like a million subs halfway through the video lol
Yeah, but it is kinda cool that you are here on the ground floor where it all began. That way, if I ever do get 1 million subs, you can be one of those people who says, _"Who, him? oh yeah, I used to watch him when he was a nobody with just a few hundred subs."_
Though by that time, I will probably be giving tips for Holodeck games.
I was struggling to get that Burn Out Apocalypse trophy. Your tip of downgrading the tyres and engine did the trick. Ty!
Yeah, that trophy really bugged me too, that is why I had to include it in this video. I figured other people would be struggling as much as me.
Wow Never thought about the bat using it first before upgrading haha.. thanks man
I just started playing this game!! It is unreal! Thank you sir for your tips. There definitely gonna help me out!!
That was very informative and well made, thank You kind sir! I'm slowly getting ready for release, hope it's as good as You say :)
i ran out of bullets and fuel once, it was the best experience i had in the game, it really felt like it was dangerous and the stakes were high, just a few freakers could be dangerous, a wolf would be a death sentence, it was the middle of the night aswell
A true statement.
Deacon is a badass with a full fuel tank and bullets to spare. But run out of both, and there can be problems real quick.
Excellent stuff! Very informative and I loved the slightly robotic delivery! 10/10
27-damn this will be quite hard to replicate for mouse and keyboard
but thanks for the advice for the xp indicator, having any kind of indicator that the enemy is already dead is nice.
This was very helpful. I am six hours in. I played a few AC, and all of the LOU. It's seems like a mix of each.
Late, but I have one.
Lead a horde into a marauder, ripper or militia camp and chill on the sidelines. This also works with bounty targets but you'll have to wait for the horde to move away and stay out of their sight.
Also personal tip : flashbangs are SUPER useful ,against all enemies ,takes pressure off against you in hordes by stunning them ,and makes for easy kills in narrow passage ways. Also helps you take you groups if marauders in ambush camps easily with some quick headshots.
Also ,hordes seem to have a weird de-aggro zone. While I played on hard 2 ,after I aggro a horde ,once I ran a certain distance away with them chasing me ,they just sort of gave up .....twas weird
I tried luring a horde into a camp, to watch them get mowed down by the sentry towers. They didn’t follow
@@AndreasNkleby There is that one camp with a Nero checkpoint next to a closed tunnel in the NE with the camp members taunting Freakers behind a barricade - I snuck up and used some grenades - then I just ran and watched. Luckily the Freakers tend to stay on the road behind the blocked gate for Molotov lobbing. Not a horde though - I thought they were on my first playthrough.
Just started playing this 2 days ago, and I like the scrounging and the crafting in this game.
27:09 lol that freaker was launched 😅
New game plus (non survival) is way too easy. I went with hard 2 difficulty, as I heard survival mode is quite awkward without the HUD, and fast travel.
If you want to replay again with a challenge, just replay on a higher difficulty. Don't bother with NG+
This is probably the best tips video for Days Gone. A highly underrated gem of a game.
Think is a great way to learn about the game when you are just starting out. Brilliant video. Thank you
Actual wealth of good advice that's not the same "tips and tricks" repeated... well except molotov & roll😉. Well done👏
molotov and role. first bear encounter versus zombies vs moi. figure out that fast. And the roll while on fire comes from other games, first time it happened i just rolled instinctively from other games and it put out the fire fastlike. i think i game too much
Ahh yes, the old Days Gone, Dark Souls, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghosts of Tsushima dodge roll. The favourite tool of hardcore gamers.
Yup, a great game, one that I am just revisiting, and enjoying. Thanks for these excellent tips.
This is one of my all-time favorite games. Thanks for the vid.
I learned that residue bolt not working on a horde real quick
Thank you for the video! Just downloading the game now, looking forward to playing.
