Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure survival horror video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a global pandemic, former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers the possibility of his wife Sarah still being alive, which leads Deacon on a quest to find her. Days Gone is played from a third-person perspective.

It'll probably work forever since there's zero reason for them to ever update the game.
3 key points when doing this:
- Stand close enough to the edge (like right on it), thats what stops them from climbing up behind you.
- The narrow walkway immediately to your right can overfill with them and cause them to climb on top of each other to get to you. You're not up there for sight-seeing, so make sure to keep them depleted.
- If you run out of explosives to kill them with, obviously you can shoot straight down to thin them out, but to also save bullets by not shooting rhings that are already dead, you can turn around (facing the way you climbed up), take a step in that direction to make them climb up, then take a step back to your default spot and kill them.

I spent an hour doing this mission until I realised I could go back to my camp to refill ammo and come back without losing progress on the hoard red bar
I would park my bike by the bridge just outside of the sawmill, run to it whenever I needed Ammo
@@GCT1990 I would of done this but at the time I didn’t have the ammo on the bike perk, I did leave my bike in the tunnel for the quick save

If you stay away too long the horde replenishes itself
That darn music ,it scared me even more than the horde
Ikr, the hordes not scary but the music jus gives me goosebumps
The other easy way to do this I found by pure chance the second time I played the game through. Wait until night-time and the horde is feeding, which they do in a sort of pit between the wrecked train and the main mill building. Sneak through the gap under the wrecked train, and from behind the fence, chuck an attractor, followed a few seconds later by couple of napalm molotovs or frag grenades. It wipes about a quarter of them out, and the rest can't get over the fence to get to you, so they have to go the long way round using the steps on the far side. By the time they even start doing this, you can duck back under the train and round the corner out of sight. They almost immediately give up chasing, and go back to feeding. Repeat 2-3 more times and you're done. I only fired about half a dozen shots to clear up the stragglers.
First time I did this, involved lots of set traps, a long chase, lots of stamina cocktails and health cocktails, hundreds of rounds of ammo and about 20 attempts before I nailed it lol
Yesterday I just completed this game. And I will say this game is a masterpiece & the hordes are so enjoyable throughout the game.
This still works as of today on PS4 (5/13/2023). Just make sure you stand on the far edge as shown! I made the mistake of standing one step in and they annihilated me the first try. Thank you so much for the video!

Still works as of 13 Feb 22. Literally stand in that one spot, DO NOT LOOK AROUND. Just look forward. Best way is to have attractors and crafting materials for more attractors because sometimes the dead bodies get in the way and act as cover for the rest of them, so if you can spread them out with attractors, it's an easy win. I did it in 2 attempts. Didn't have enough ammo for my first attempt so had to bail 😂
It doesn’t work for me I climb and the horde climbs as well
So quick question, if you kill 80% of hoard and sell the ears and come back a day later will they respawn ? or only 20% wil be left ?
it depends if you save your progress or not if you save after killing 80% less or more of the horde and even after selling the ears the horde that remains will still be there

@@stephongriffin5261 make sure your bike have a saddlebag filled with ammo then u must have max napalm Molotov and max attractors then climb to the area where told in video horde will come throw an attractor where horde came from ok once it get crowded throw napalm Molotov and then repeat a few times throw attractor and napalm Molotov and make sure that u are making no sound while throwing the attractor be crouched.if u need any further help do tell me

This worked for me first try. You have to be on the edge, have a lot of napalm etc. and be able to replenish but it works! 2/21/2023!😁

The way I beat this horde was basically attracting some the freakers away from the horde and leading them to the tunnel, because when the horde chases you to the tunnel eventually most of them will give up and go back to the barn, and you take out the remaining ones that don’t give up (left my bike at the tunnel entrance for safe measure) repeated that process 20 times and killed all of them, wish I had seen this video beforehand😐😐😐
I would go all out rather than doing this

2 player co-op would be cool taking out hordes. 1 could drive the bike the other person sitting on the back turnt backwards spraying the horde as it chases you.
That's quite a handy tip. You don't just play a game to enjoy it. You play to win too.
so, i recently started playing on PC (first playthrough) and i ran through the woods, it was dark and raining and i hear growling.
i sneaked up there to see like 30-40 zombies and already shit my pants 😅
atmosphere in this game is amazing and running from them, crashing ur bike into a tree and getting swarmed by them is actually terrifiying
I never went out for roaming in the night at all during my first playthrough unless it was necessery🥶☠️ It was pure horror for me at that time.😅
It's a solid Zombie game with solid bike riding mechanics. No 'super' zombies like the fantasy variety - the hordes are enough.

I had such hard time doing it, got killed many times, had to level up every camp to get the best weapons just for this, until i gave up and searched for the easiest way, i got this video and it worked perfectly😍
You guys just have to stand exactly where this person did, dont look back much, use the attractor and you should be good

Hey maan thaaanksss 😂😂 finaly did it, spent a whole day fighting this horde finaly this technique worked out. I went to the gas stations and collect enough kerosene and materials then i get back here, the method worked, though i went out of explosives and molotovs but i used my guns and finish'em thanks man 🎉

Even IF this is possible, you're going to need a shitload of components to keep making Molotovs and Napalm Molotovs and other explosives

Thank you so much I almost ran out of bullets because I didn't have very many attractors to begin with and not a lot of molotovs but your trick saved me but you're right you have to stand in that particular spot otherwise they'll get to you I tried like five times until I beat it because I wasn't standing exactly at the right spot

Did this today, stood exactly where he did. No issues whatsoever. After several frags, napalms, pipe bombs.....cleared easily. Just made sure to keep the hoarde in front of me the whole time with attractors.
Does shooting create any issues?
I cleared out the sawmill before I went to the south part of the map. Didn't want to leave the north part before I did everything. So when it came time for the last mission, he just parked the truck with what they needed

Tried it as of today June 5, 2023 and still works. As long as you stay on that platform, you are safe. Just make sure you pack a ton of ammo and EXPLOSIVES! Also the attractors still work after the fact the horde notices you.

Is the spot you need to stand in very specific? I've tried this a few times and they're able to climb up
@@ratman5128 to be honest, I just stood at the edge or near the edge of the platform and they would just run on top of each other

The "unfun" way to beat the saw mill horde is more like it. Trust me if you are struggling with it go back to the drawing board plan it out and beat it you'll feel so much cooler if you do! My first run I even somewhat mimicked what they did in the e3 gameplay preview of it and it was just so awesome man. Make it fun and as cinematic as possible and you will love it.
Killed all of them almost 3 times and kept dying….this video saved me time thanks g !

First time killing a few hordes id scream like a little girl my wife would tell me to shut up from the bedroom, really would piss her off at 3am me screaming lol
yeah i got on my bike and looked behind me and i was being chased i screamed and got told to stfu😭
You can also use the narrow bridge to the right of the saw mill. It goes across the water so they can't go around. Great bottle neck. Explosives and the special machine gun did the rest
Did this on PC last week and I can confirm if you're on the platform you're for the most part safe. The horde starts to pile up on top of each other if you dont clear them quick enough enabling some to get onto the platform with you and knock you off. This happened pretty consistently for me. Reguardless it makes it a lot more manageable as if you do get knocked off youll likely have a good chunk of the hoarde already dead.

I just sat in the bushes out front, threw some attractor bombs, waited, then through the molotov and grenades lol. That's it.

So tried this and instantly messed up so I decided to run and gun while planting traps at my feet. Well it worked!
Defeated it without this, but i used all my ammo and pretty much all my loot.
One problem with open world games is that your own dedication for grinding is tied to the difficulty of the endgame. At the point of this mission I was so OP that there could have been double the amount of freaks to offer real challenge. Still it was very intense ngl, but I had very much ammo and loot left.
I had to do this horde twice..... killed the horde right before i had the option of doing the sawmill mission and the game glitched and respawned them, Second time was actually way easier.
I might do this one with this glitch because I’m trying to keep only a primary weapon on my back for the playthrough. Deacon starts looking ridiculous carrying a rifle + a machine gun on his back.

I finished off this horde on my first try using the narrow bridge along the side of the saw mill as a kill zone - those Freakers had no chance
I just tried this for shits and giggles, it definitely still works you just had to be on the corner like in the video and have full weapons plus crafting.

You just have to time your attractors and napalms good

Hey you can go in and stand up there and wait until you run out of stuff and the wait for it to save and then die and you restock and the bar stays the same

Just do that the guy on the video does and don't look around or back while positioned on the corner.
Throw attractors and molotovs with napalm and grenades, just make sure you throw them all far enough so that the blow won't hit you

Lol. I suffered so much trying to clear this horde. I ran and ran and ran. Lol. But it made it more worthwhile when I finished it today. Maybe if I do another play through I will try this method for a laugh.

When I did this they climbed on top of the thing I was standing on

I took it out first try I just planted remote bombs and some proximity bombs to just stunt them a bit and then run thought wood piles while throwing napalms and F1 grenades works good.
Or just use the old railway tunnel to funnel them.
Well, you have to run, there, but it's very easy anyway. Just be careful, they often run beside the tunnel and around the hill to swarm you from the sides, so run to a safe distance before coming back for the next turn of shoot-em-up.
Best weapons for this the Rock Chuck and RPD, or Chicago Chopper and RPD.
Plus the usual complement of molotov and napalm.

Gonna do this later tonight. I watched this one video where you could go up onto the building with the 4 windows in the roof and go in behind the metal cylinders but they got to me😂
