NO SPOILERS I wanted to pop in with a suggestion for a series to react to, Legend of Vox Machina. Like Invincible, its a cartoon built for adults. A little backstory without giving any spoilers, It's an animated D&D storyline from a campaign from one of the most popular streaming D&D groups, Critical Role. They had set up a Kickstarter asking their fans(known as Critters) to help fund a small 30 minute special they wanted to try out animating some of their beloved story they created, asking for only around $750,000. Critters everywhere blew it up to record breaking proportions, in literal no time at all, raising over 11 MILLION dollars. It garnered so much attention that Amazon came knocking, offering to stream it on Prime, as well as even paying for a second season. The first season is 12 Episodes and having binged all your reactions I believe its a show you would love to watch. Lots of people who have never heard of or seen Critical Role are loving this show and it's slowly making its way out to the masses.
@@wtimmins Well for me I was actually enjoying it even before that. But I’m glad the show ended up being what it was And I couldn’t help myself but read all the comics. Show is closely following it besides some minor changes.
If you want to add more horror to the scene, the reason it was slowed down as Red Rush was being crushed to death was because as he said, seconds to someone else felt like hours to him. So Omni-Man actually killed him pretty quickly to the regular eye, but Red Rush died a slow and brutal death in his time frame because he and Omni-Man were moving that fast.
Omni-Man is from Viltrum (basically, Superman from Krypton,) but Earth already has it's own heroes. It's like, there's Superman, but Earth has people like Wonder Woman, Batman, the Flash, etc.
In the comic it took several issues before it got down to the Guardians of the Globe part of the story. The show slammed the audience with that arc right in the pilot episode and featured them in full superhero team glory in the opening scene of the pilot, which was missing from the comics. Kirkman and his crew did a fantastic job of refining the Invincible comic’s story for the animation all throughout S1 and I very much look forward to the upcoming S2 and S3.

It seems pretty chill and fun for all ages" Then in those finale few minutes, I understood! It was jaw to the floor crazy and unexpected, I was SHOOK. The first time i watched this I completely missed the post credit scene and at the beginning of Ep 2 I was like "WTH?". I should have known better but I was rushed for time. Definitely shocking. Look forward to the rest of the series with you.
Great reaction. This is one of the best animated shows I've ever seen and definitely not for kids. The voice actors in the show are lke an all star cast. We were all shocked with the last scene of Omni Man butchering all the heroes. Can't wait to see you react to the rest of the show. 😊

Really looking forward to you reacting to the rest of this. It is really and well worth watching. I had never really experienced Robert Kirkman's work other than the early part of the Walking Dead TV show so the bloody violence in this show kind of caught me off guard as well.
I highly recommend reading the walking dead comics if you haven't already. Drastically different from the show & my preferred version of the two, though far more grounded in its horror.
Your reaction at the end was the same as mine just in disbelief. It shocked me cause I was not expecting that. Though the best moments are the one you don't expect right? I do love the slow build up from not showing blood and at the very end sets the tone of what the series is. Loved the reaction!

Fun fact - the first issue of the comics is the same as this episode, written and drawn to make you think you are reading a pretty generic, run of the mill super hero comic.
I was trying to decide what to watch next so I looked through your playlists and decided to give this a shot. I’m glad I did. I don’t like the gore, but I like the characters and the story. Good choice
"I want to be just like you" - Does he, now? Cecil the Tailor was voiced by Mark Hammill himself. You'll notice that the title was pristine blue and yellow. Keep an eye on it as the show progresses. The last scene always punches people in the gut. It gets worse. But it's an awesome show neverthless. People with powers - like the DC and marvel franchises, their powers come from many, many, different sources. Don't bother with that, it'sreally not important. And Mark is not an average guy. An average guy with his powers would've beat the crap of that bully as revenge. Mark didn't. That guy has a heart of gold.
Well, I wouldn't say it's a spoiler but the other heroes are not aliens. Just all kinds of things, such as magic curses, tech, experiments. Pretty standard comic book stuff.
Seth Rogan is really into these dystopian type stories. He is also one of the people responsible for the pitch sale of The Boys to Amazon. TV/Movies is starting to catch up to the messed up superhero genre that was started by Watchmen. Alan Moore and Garth Ennis have been responsible for these other creators like Kirkman, Ottley and Rauch that are responsible for Invincible.
This is a serious series set in a comic book world, and as such everyone has their own fantastic origins and powers. Just like you have mutants, magic aliens, artifacts, people from hidden cultures, Super science, etc., that's what's going on here. Assuming they're all the same is like assuming every Marvel heroes are Asgardian. The Guardians of the Globe are like the Seven of the Boys, another Justice League proxy; Darkwing is Batman, War Woman is Wonder Woman, Red Rush is Flash, Aquarius is Aquaman, Green Ghost is a slight mix but largely Green Lantern, Martian Man is Martian Manhunter, and the Immortal is for the ranks purpose, Superman, but Superman's origin and powers more closely align with Omni-man, obviously. The great thing about the pilot/first issue is that it's the Red Wedding of Game of Thrones fame right out of the gates.

The first _seven_ issues. The reveal was at the very end of issue _#7._ Which made it even more shocking.
