I don't do Facebook .... haven't for 15 yrs....not missed much I'm sure but I do fully appreciate the power of social media and when it's used correctly. The rules , AI and shadow banning when posting or replying proves free speech is purely a state of mind. As a new subscriber to your channel and I must say I like your delivery and style so I'm in for the ride going forward. I don't think you're overthinking it mate. ..people are just deluded at times. I see the hate, trolls and worthless comments people post on other channels ....I pity them if thats what they get some self satisfaction and gratification from. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

We have walked past The Bar a few times over the last couple of years and said “that looks nice”but it’s only since watching your VLOG that we have decided that we are definitely going to try it out in December. So to not allow RUclipsrs to share wholesome / informative content on the FB page is just doing a disservice to the businesses in the area that they are supposedly trying to support. Keep up the great content.

I completely agree. The Facebook page should have approached Rick to promote their page on his RUclips channel in exchange for allowing him to post on their page. But some people are just jealous of RUclipsrs because they aren't brave enough to do it themselves..

I have only ever complained when you tubers have been out of order. Once was a clandestine recording in a controversial bar. The second was a you tuber spamming a group. The third was a you tuber flogging his partners photos on only fans. Was it right to speak up? Yes. Did it get me anywhere? No. It’s like heckling a comedian. The comedian has the Mike and has the audience. You may be absolutely right to speak up but when they have a following they will never be wrong.

And there was me hitting play hoping to hear a good moan about traffic conditions in Costa Adeje 😂 Seriously though, Facebook groups are very cliquey and the fact that they taunted you about your low post count isn’t likely to grow interactions if that’s how they usually react… Lesson learned there Rick, leave the group to it and just keep doing your own thing. That Sunday Roast looked great though. Such a shame The Bar can’t have live acts on. Last time I was there they had a guitarist on, he had everyone joining in singing and there was great banter.

Just watching it now Rick. Noticed the phrase "give more to the group than you take" on their group rules page when sending a join request. How do they quantify the input/takeaway of each member? It's a very odd turn of phrase to use quite frankly. There's no way of collecting analytical data for this kind of thing. But, you have to remember that FB admins sometimes police their groups a little too strictly, based on a kind of fake superiority complex.
I agree to disagree because some people are doing very well out of RUclips in Tenerife,but since I first started watching RUclips about maybe four years ago I've never sent any horrible comments to anyone, because if I didn't like the content of someone's RUclips channel I wouldn't watch,but definitely no need for some to watch one or two videos than start making horrible and sarcastic comments or anything else, because it's nice to be nice 👍

Whoever replied to you sounds like a jobsworth or a control freak. I only use Facebook for groups that are useful to me and if I get treated like that, I leave the group. At the end of day, it's their loss.
That group is shite! I tried to post about helping the stray cats in South Tenerife recently and got the same comment that I was trying to publicise myself. Like you, I have only ever posted once earlier and that was several months ago. Needless to say I left the group.

TBH Andy. We have had a few free meals AFTER the filming a few weeks later due to the extra custom a business has received. However we always go in with the intention of paying for sure.
