Thank you. This season of spring time, as my four daughters and I miss the presence of their dear father - a musician, teacher, singer, lover of poetry - your performance here is a balm to our hearts. He died two years ago; 52 years old.

Absolutely beautiful. As an accompanist (piano), I would have loved to have seen just a moment or two of the pianist at work.

Premiere performance by the commissioning choir? No pressure there. This is so beautifully performed, the chorus nailed it, and the soloist, god love her, soared. When she stops at the grand pause 4:27, her smile tells everything we need to know about her as a musician and how seriously she takes her art. Thank you all. Just mind-blowingly lovely.

MsSoundguy Amen to that. I was inspired by her composure, and joy of singing.

    Beautiful!
Ralph Waldo Emerson’s text set for voices.
    TEXT:
Let me go where’er I will
I hear a skyborn music still:
It sounds from all things old,
It sounds from all things young,
From all that’s fair, from all that’s foul,
    Alway, alway something sings.
It is not only in the rose,
It is not only in the bird,
Not only where the rainbow glows,
Nor in the song of woman heard,
But in the darkest, meanest things
    There alway, alway something sings.
‘Tis not in the high stars alone,
Nor in the cup of budding flowers,
Nor in the red-breast’s mellow tone,
Nor in the bow that smiles in showers.
But in the darkest, meanest things
    There alway, alway something sings.

So beautiful. Pure joy to listen to. I'm new to your music, Dan (via my friend Paul Langford, himself a composer, arranger, conductor) and I love what I hear!

The audio is terrible. This was probably an excellent live performance, too bad it was not well recorded.
